I was pleasantly surprised when he started & there was really no pain, just a couple of spots that made me dig my heels in for a moment, but far better than I was anticipating! I love how my tattoo turned out & am ready for another! I live out of state but will go back to see Shannon for sure! I also had a piercing in my helix. Derek was kind enough to squeeze me in because I also had a nose piercing from another shop that needed to be fixed. So not only did he fix my nose piercing from the other shop he also pierced my ear. Again basically pain-free. Very pleasant experience. I'll certainly see Derek again for more piercings.

Chris is definitely gathering a squad of outstanding artists in this shop and it shows his legacy is forming as we speak. This is by far my favorite tattoo(photos to come after healing) and my favorite experience to date. All the paperwork is electronic, and the appointment was smooth as heck! Katie hooked my best friend up(also pictures to come it was a crazy cover-up) and will be working with me and my sister in the near future as well. She is a peach too! This is one of those rare times where everything just fell into place from the drawing to the pain! If i could give them a 10 star review I would. The shop is clean, and the parking IS FREE IN A PRIVATE LOT! Even close enough to Maryland where you could walk into Delaware. And plenty of food and drink surround the place. I had an interesting experience with a tattoo artist with a slightly bad attitude, but hey, everyone has bad days. Still doesn't deter me from going back for my next tattoo. The black ink they use is BLACK! I have a tattoo on my foot that gets a lot of friction and it's barely faded. This is quality stuff. I love my tattoos from State Street.

I said that I was interested in the cost of a small tattoo and would they put my daughter's ashes in the ink. I've had this done several times (my daughter and only child was killed in an auto accident Nov. 2015) so I didn't think it would be an issue. The woman didn't know the answer so she took me over to a "gentleman". I asked him if they would use the ashes and he said "No!" several times. Didn't lift his head up, didn't make eye contact or give an explanation. Not very professional! What a ! Would never get a tattoo here!

She was very welcoming when I walked into the shop and explained to me all that I needed to fill out before we could get started. She was very clean and made sure to have sterile supplies and wore gloves. She's very nice and easy to talk to, made my piercing go more smoothly then I thought it would. After the piercing was over she explained to me what the proper cleaning techniques I could use and also mentioned that when they do heal she will be able to switch out the jewelry for me. So far I have not had any problems with them, they are healing really nicely and look healthy, and are placed perfectly on my body to by symmetrical. Would definitely recommend going to Taylor the piercer at Tattoo Icon.
