The person that came to do the cleaning was 2 1/2 hours early. Even after I called the office that morning to confirm the time he would be there, because I had other things to do that day. He called and stated he was at my home. I had to hurry home to let him in, even though I was 25 minutes away. Then he continued to say my house smelled and I needed to pay extra to get the smell out. A smell I don't believe I had. Nonetheless I paid the extra cost. Now, the next day, my house smells extremely bad. I am selling my house, and now after the cleaning it smells really bad. A smell I did not have prior to him coming to my home. Additionally, he was asking too many personal questions and at times rude! My carpets look worse now then before he came. NO, I will definitely not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We just bought a home and received a receipt for the carpet cleaning of the home that was done by Oxi Fresh. We made an offer on the home on June 13, and the cleaning was done on June 16. We had a 30 day escrow and got the keys on July 12, and moved in on July 17. We got the receipt for the cleaning and it was $450. The carpet smelled horrible and when we vacuumed there was a TON of dog hair that the vacuum picked up. No one had been in the house, let alone a dog, since the cleaning on June 16. Every room smelled bad, and it came from the carpet. So I emailed and they told me that the service did not include "odor destroyer"!!! They also told me that some hair may have not been picked up by the machines used. I was under the impression, and still am, that cleaning the carpets for $450 meant getting rid of all dog hair and odor in the house. I asked if they could come and look at the job they had done, but since it was past 30 days (which was my escrow, so I did not even see the house during that time), they were not willing to look at the carpet. They did offer to discount any future work that we hire them for, but no thanks. Needless to say, very disappointed with the cleaning done, and the fact that $450 did NOT include removing odors. For our rental home, we use All American Carpet Cleaning and are happy with their work, and prices are great! read more

UPDATE: after leaving reviews, the owner returned my call and refunded me the full cost. Disappointed. What they use isn't your typical commercial equipment at all. It's similar to one you would use at home yourself. The employee was back & forth through my home to use water for his equipment, when I specifically had him use the garage entrance, which was direct access to the room I wanted serviced. When I came down from upstairs, he was sitting on the arm of my couch. As far as the cleaning, the machine did not clean about 2" within the baseboard, nor did it remove any of the spots on the carpet. There has never been a spot or stain I couldn't remove myself, including red lipstick. So, I will have to have them done again. We are going through COVID & there was no gloves, shoe covers, no mask, no social distancing, and I have a medically fragile son!! And when I called in to express my disappointment, the owner requests to have me get on the employees phone! Overall - not worth the $25 discount they offered, but dislike confrontation. My fault for assuming I would be getting what I had requested, based on what I told them I needed. UPDATE; Today I did the carpets myself and I have photos I want to share with you all.... disgusting they call this clean carpet! First photo is after they "cleaned." I have used Oxi Fresh for several years now and I am always impressed with how clean my carpets look for months after. I noticed with other companies my stains seemed to come back quickly after I had a cleaning done. Not the case when using your company. I recently had them come out to clean my carpets for a general cleaning and for a coffee spill. My carpet came out looking perfect! I booked them to come on 3/26/2019 (reservation #107928), the day we moved into our new home. They came and did what seemed like a good job. The next day we noticed 2 spots (about 1 foot diameter) that the Oxi Fresh guy had brought to my attention during cleaning, and that he had spent extra time trying to get rid of. They were still there. I can understand that some things are difficult. I intended to call them back, but... I had to travel extensively for a month. I finally got around to it 1 month later. On 4/25 at 4:09pm I called and spoke to Alex. My request was: "sometime, not urgent, when you are in this neighborhood again, would you mind dropping by and take a look at it to see if you think there's anything you can do on it." Alex said she would talk to the owner (Andy Radke?) and get back to me. She did not. On 5/6/2019 at 10:27am (yes, I keep notes) I called again. This time Jocelyn spoke to me. She also said the owner would call me back. Today is 7/5/2019. Still no call backs. It is usually a telling sign when a company responds so well on an initial sales call, but in contrast so poorly on a follow-up warranty call. Of course I'm very disappointed in them, not to mention they have wasted my time, and not delivered an A1 product. My biggest problem is not with the 2 stain spots... I can understand that. Rather, it is with their lack of service and responsiveness... I cannot understand that. read more

We scheduled an appointment with Oxi Fresh as a birthday present for our mother Nov. 30, 2012. Andy's attitude was professional and friendly. Conclusion: I do not openly recommend Oxi Fresh. I feel it's expensive for the quality put forth by the business. However, this franchise has some happy customers so I cannot say whether or not our situation is common. I suggest you be there to supervise the cleaning. My sister and I didn't, as we were cleaning the kitchen while Andy was working on our carpets. If you notice that the cleaning doesn't look to be effective, ask your technician about this immediately. You most likely won't receive a refund from this company if the service isn't to your liking. There is a 7-day redo policy, but from my understanding, it is not Oxi Fresh's policy to redo the entire job--only areas of concern. We were concerned with the whole job considering even the most obvious messes remained in our carpet. The following details our situation: Our carpets are roughly 5-year-old, synthetic, light-colored berber. We don't use shoes in the house, our two cats stay mostly outside, and we don't have young children. Our carpets were dingy with use and had high-traffic areas at the room entrances. The carpets were not abused as were those in the before/after photos listed on the Oxi Fresh website. I confirmed with the corporate office that those carpets were cleaned with the basic cleaning without use of the Spotting Kit (extra $20 charge). Our results weren't comparable. We had 4 bedrooms, 2 walk-in closets, and 1 office space cleaned. The service was completed in 1.5 hours at an hourly rate of $125.87, with a coupon and 20% off due to a previous scheduling conflict. Upon the initial walk-through, I pointed out melted candle wax in the carpet of my mom's bedroom. She was able to get some out herself with a towel and iron. Andy said the carpet "lay funny" in that area. He made no recommendation that he would need to use the Spotting Kit, so I assumed the regular cleaning would be sufficient. I did not mention that one of the cats had left a throw-up mark on the carpet for this same reason. After the cleaning, I ended up using a 1:1 solution of vinegar:water and baking soda on the area. It took 5 minutes on my behalf without any scrubbing to remove the stain. After the cleaning, we felt our carpets looked the same as before. My mom was able to blot makeup from my sister's carpet with a tissue. Any spots, high-traffic areas, and the wax remained. My sister, before paying for the service, asked if he could improve the office room. We had a plastic covering on the carpet where the computer chair sat. The carpet underneath was nearly untouched. He said it would "lighten up" after it dried and that he used extra solution to clean the room. He did not offer a re-cleaning, nor did he advertise the Spotting Kit while in our home when my sister mentioned this first concern. The following week, I purchased a ChemDry spot-remover product that is sprayed on, left for 30 seconds, and then blotted. After blotting, I noticed the dirty imprints of my hands on the opposite side of the towel. My husband called Andy on Dec. 3 or 4. He explained our situation. Andy offered to re-clean the carpets, but we declined based on the fact that he told us that the cleaning was the best he could do and of a recent BBB complaint which listed a re-cleaning to be ineffective in improving the carpet (they hired another service that was able to get the carpets clean). Andy explained why the carpet in the office room looked the way it did: low carpeting can be problematic and high-traffic areas are difficult to clean. About the makeup, he said he must've "loosened" it. After being denied any refund, we said we might pursue legal means to get our money back. He encouraged that we do so. Ultimately, we did not go this route and instead filed a complaint with the BBB. The corporate office won't do anything to resolve complaints, nor do they have their franchisees hold up the mission and value statements on the website. These are questions I asked during a 25-minute conversation with a kind representative. I asked if it was reasonable to expect that our technician would notice spots/stains on his own and that he would recommend the Spotting Kit if the standard cleaning wasn't suiting our carpet. She said I was fine to assume this. I also asked about a post-cleaning walk-through, which we did not receive. Normally this is done with residential customers, just as for commercial clients (the cleaning process for both is identical, by the way). In response to our BBB complaint, Andy stated that he thought the area affected by the wax looked like we had cut away at the carpet in an attempt to remove it. This is untrue, but amusing. He is also really keen on the fact that my sister is the one who paid for the service, despite having listed me as the customer on the receipt and dealing only with myself up to that point. read more

I thought Abe did a terrific job, and I liked that the carpet wasn't left so wet as with steam cleaning. Abe gets 5 stars. However, the day after, my dog pooped on the rug. That wasn't their fault, but I had just paid $119, it was a small spot that would have and did take Abe 15 minutes, and the owner insisted on charging me $80.00. I think since they had just been there and I had just paid $119.00, and the job was so small, they could have cut me a break. For that, I won't give the company 5 stars. read more
