Stanley Steamer has been our carpet cleaners of choice, mainly because I have mold allergies, so we can't have wet carpets that take too long to dry, plus the hot steam minimizes bacteria and such. The people are really great too. Easy to work with, and they usually have deals available to save you a little money, too. Most importantly, they do a very good job, and try to remove any and all stains, taking care to not harm the carpet or cause any new issues. They're kind, responsible, and use natural enzymes to help with pulling out spots and stains, which leaves a nice smell in the air. I tend to react to most things, but not to anything these guys use, so I continue to use them because they work for me. I highly recommend them. read more

This review is for the company, not the guys who cleaned the carpets. They were very professional and polite. I live in a new construction house that is 4 months old. We never wear shoes in the house and are neat freaks. We had the typical organic move in stains from the movers and workers. Again, almost brand new carpet with organic stains. When the carpet dried after Stanley Steemer cleaned it, literally every stain was left, I couldn't believe it. It's almost like the carpets were not cleaned at all. One of the stains was left by a plant. I got the Oxi Clean and spot cleaned it with hot water to see if I could get the stain out. After 40 seconds of scrubbing, completely gone!! I then went and got my 3 year old Bissell Crosswave out. Loaded the container with extremely hot water diluted with Oxi Clean. My house is 2600 square feet. It took me six hours (Going to the sink 100+ times to empty the small container on the bissell took forever), but the carpets came out absolutely spotless. So I pay Stanley Steemer $240, only to do the carpets myself for 6 hours. Proof is in the pictures, look at the dirt left behind after their cleaning!!!!!!! read more

I have used Stanley Steemer to clean my carpets and tile for over 25 years in different locations. Today, I had scheduled to have my tile cleaned and the grout sealed. The technician and his assistant came and as we walked through the areas that need cleaning, I noticed mud on the floors and in the carpet. When I asked if they had mud on their shoes, the technician said they did because they were just at a farm. I asked them to put booties on, and he said they don't carry booties, but, they would " mop" it up after they were done. When he started bringing in the hoses to get started, I noticed more mud and stated that unless they had booties or another pair of shoes, I wasn't interested in having them do the job. He stated it was just part of the job and they would "mop" up afterwards. I don't know how you mop up dirt in the carpet? They left and I vacuumed my house and swept my driveway and walkway from all the mud! I wanted them to make my house cleaner, not make it dirtier! I will never call this franchise again and I certainly will be sharing my story. What a disappointment! read more

This is the 2nd time Jesses has serviced our rugs. He is always cordial and professional. He explained and offered an additional deodorizer. Once he was finished we did a walk through of the rooms he just completed. I also provided some additional feedback for him on the technician, who was very nice, but possibly additional training is needed. After this experience, I will give Stanley Steemer a 2nd chance. As scheduled, David and Michael arrived on time. Walked through to review carpet areas to be cleaned. They were professional, courteous and moved right along with the project, yet did not rush the task. (David was also technician who did carpets at my residence about two years ago.) Today he was accompanied by assistant technician, Michael. It is wonderful to see David, a familiar face with the same company. Speaks well for both employer and employee. Employers know the onsite technicians are the "reputation" of the company. Within the past two years, I asked David to return and clean the garage floor, which had an accumulation of oil, grime and other dirt carried in by vehicle tires. It was astonishing what he was able to remove. Since then I have not tracked the garage grime to the interior carpets. Really has saved my carpets. They both went the extra mile to make sure that each room's carpet was cleaned to my parents' satisfaction before moving on to the next room, and charged only what they had been quoted on the estimate. The service was okay, no better/worse than others I've used. I have a weird line in my carpet now which wasn't there before, and the technician said it was the carpet fibers laying in opposite directions, however, it wasn't there before. Carpet looks clean otherwise. Their equipment dripped water all over my laminate floor which I wasn't too happy about. Water trail from the back bedroom to the front of the house. They also left two pieces of equipment in the street. Local number not on the receipt, so had to call the nationwide number and sit and listen to their recording for a long time on hold in order to let them know there was equipment in the street. I thought Stanley Steemer was supposed to be the crème de la crème, but it's really pretty average. read more

I chose Stanley Steemer because of price. I should have remembered that you get what you pay for. The employee showed up and immediately had to call someone to figure out how to work the truck. This guy was really shy and I dont think he spoke English very well. I had everything moved out of the rooms except for the couch and loveseat. When he finally got started, he was going to just go around the furniture! I had to stop him and actually move the things myself. He went really fast and in my opinion didnt do a very good job at cleaning anything. Overall I was really disappointed and have since found a different company for my carpet cleaning needs. read more

This was the second time we used Stanley Steemer. The first time a supervisor dropped by and did a second more thorough cleaning on some of the spots that still showed. This time the technicians did a good job but not as good as last time. I pointed out some spots to them and they just kind of made excuses about it. My biggest reason for not giving 5 stars is the scheduling. They told me they would be here between noon and 6 and that someone would call me. I arranged my day specifically to be home by noon. They arrived after 4. I called shortly before 4 to see what was up and got an answer that they usually just call when they're on their way. As a customer, i don't care what they usually do. They knew their schedule much earlier than that and could have called to narrow it down a bit more. This is not a utility company and I have choices. I hope someone at Stanley Steemer reads this and realizes that next time I will consider other companies who are more concerned about the use or waste of their customers' time. read more
