I've been going to BJ bar and Cabana for over a year when I feel like having a fun night out. It's a solid place to either bring friends to dance, karaoke, and even solo people watching. It's situated in the Main Street of downtown so it's easy to grab a bite to eat nearby if needed and there are other good options for fun if BJ gets too crowded for those claustrophobic individuals. Drink prices are a little above average but demand spikes prices (economics 101). A must visit if you have never been and crowd is well rounded but mostly young 20s to young 30s groups. read more

My friend & I came in here on a Sunday night after a friend recommended this place. It was a little dead when we arrived but more people ended up coming in over time. We grabbed a drink from the bar, bartender was nice. A male, but my friend thought he was a little messed up, not sure if he was drunk or under the influence of a substance or maybe that's just him?? LOL We took our drinks & hit up the pool table. $1.00 per game. We played 3 games & I got my butt kicked but had fun!! We soon then headed outside where there was more people. It was hot out there, which was to be expected. I ended up switching to water which was very tasty. When we decided to leave I had walked out with my H20 & 2 bouncers came out after me. They informed me that even though it was H20 they could be fined $5,000 for it. My bad. I apologized & gave it to them. Went there to dance last night. Dj played music with explicit inappropriate language..lots of 4 letter words which are offensive. Very disappointed to hear this type of music when there are so many he coukd have played that were not offensive. Really we don't need that. Loved the people watching on a summer Saturday night .. so many trashy scum bag guys and wild crazy girls who will do just about anything to get free drinks - totally worth going if you're looking for a fun bar with loud music and dancing. I saw the post asking why Yelp shows this place as gay! Just goes to show yelp isn't worth your time. It doesn't get a lot right. Plain fact is there are no gay bars in lake Havasu. I gave 1 star because I received notification from my cc that I tipped the bartender, Mike 119% ..well that never happened. I gave him 10$ tip for 3 drinks. Apparently that was not enough for him. I did not give him 40$ tip. I spoke to manager and she states I wrote in 40$. This is illegal so protect yourself and watch out for unprofessional and illegal actions that take place here. First of all not being from havasu we out at other bars asking locals where the good spots are they told us anywhere but the "roofie bar" but we decided to try bjs out anyway. They were right! Bouncer was a rude to me and creepy to my girlfriend so watch out for him if you're planning on going there especially as I was standing right there as he was saying out of pocket comments to my girlfriend. Ive been coming to Havasu for years and every year my mom friends tale a girls trip. This was our first time coming to BJs. We had the BEST time here last night!! Do NOT go here!!! Went there with a couple girl friends and one of them was ROOFIED!! She was fine one minute and incapacitated the next. After telling multiple friends the next day, the first thing that came out of multiple people's mouths was "let me guess, you were at BJs?". They clearly have a reputation of this happening and what are they doing to prevent it? So FYI it's a dive bar, but kinda a cool concept outside. They have a live band during the day at about 2pm to 6pm it's classic rock it's fun. then at about 9pm DJ. Huge fire table outside it's amazing for the cooler days. We only had beer it was reasonably priced. read more

WARNING! My friend was roofied here Friday night. After talking to many people around town about it this seems to be a very common occurrence at this establishment. We believe that it is a bartender behind it since everyone we talked to automatically guess we were here. She was absolutely fine having full conversation and after about 10 minutes she was violently puking and couldn't speak or stand anymore. The security guard helped me get her into a cab sort of brushed off my comment about her being roofied and told me to come back if we find out she was drugged. Thankfully I was with her and she is okay but she was extremely emotionally upset the next day and we thought it would be best for her to not re-live that. We tried calling today but were put on hold for 30 mins. When we finally hung up and called back the girl that answered the phone apologized and took our name and number to have Artie call us back. read more

There's an open investigation with the police, if anyone is considering coming here please do not !! We went here both Friday and Saturday night and once we found out about the outside portion of the bar on Saturday we were in love. I'd describe this place as a cool bar that has some food. As far as the outdoor bar goes it's a 4. Lots of shady seating, frequently has live music, dogs allowed. Plenty of beer choices, but if you came only for the food you may be disappointed. I mean it's ok, but pretty basic. read more

I'm a long-term resident of Lake Havasu City lived here over 10 plus years. Just recently moved back after a couple years and I remember a BJ's being the hot spot for spring break but getting a little rowdy. Well I have to say I am shocked at the state it is now when you have puke in a large male bathroom on the urinal in the sink on the floor and then you go to the bartender and tell them and they don't bother to get it cleaned. Oh wait they did tell the bar back but I could tell the bar back didn't want to do it and refuse to do it as it stayed dirty and there for three-plus hours until closing. Then I start to go use the other bathroom the smaller male bathroom and what do you know that has puke in it too. I've never been so thoroughly disgusted at a place I don't understand how they could willfully just ignore cleaning it up but it all starts to make sense now there's some type of illegal activities taking place at this establishment hence why the barback refused to clean it doesn't respect the establishment or the people and is probably an honest person. If you're a God-fearing person I would stay away from this establishment as I will. I'll never come back to this place again I hope it gets condemned foreclosed and rebuilt into something better that doesn't bring the dredges of society into it. read more

Stopped in for a beer with my girlfriend. The bartender was really nice. Not a fan of this place. Bad vibe here. A dude was super hammered and pestering others at the bar. The inside of the bar smelled like urine and vomit. The outside bar area had the same smell and same vibe. If you'd like to get into a bar fight, there are plenty of people here that would be willing to accommodate you. Other than that, skip it. read more

I don't really now where to begin... I read the other reviews, and I guess they all are fairly accurate. The place is somewhat divey, the crowd is very diverse, and the drinks are super strong and awesomely cheap. However, my friends and I still had a ridiculously great time here. We played some pool, got harassed by some strange lady who really liked white teeth, and met the coolest family from Nebraska. Come to think of it, everyone we met there was really cool and very friendly. From locals, to the bouncers, to the servers and bartenders. Also, it turns out there is an entirely different area that is next to the regular bar. This secret bar was pretty much a night club and played music that wasn't country. We didn't realize this until the very end of the night lol. I would DEFINITELY come back here if I ever visit Havasu again, and I know my friends would be down as well. read more

BJs is the place in town whether you want to have a relaxing drink after work or want a piece of the LHC night life! All the bartenders are fabulous, the drinks are reasonable priced and the place is always full of good music and cheer. Karaoke is the best on weeknights as it does get busy on the weekends. But the DJs are always playing the latest hits and the staff is always respectful and efficient. I highly recommend giving BJs a visit! read more
