We've been on their waitlist since August 2022. My husband an I called them for an update here and there and they started treating us unpleasant after making a few calls for an update. I called them again beginning of December 2022 to let them know that we are moving next year 2023 since we are a military family and hoping for an update of where my daughter stands in their waitlist. Crystal called me the next day to let me know they apparently have an opening for my daughter (right away?? glad I called). However, due to the increasing number of RSV and flu cases at that time, my husband and I decided to give my daughter's spot to the next kid for now but we'll take the next one since we're supposed to be next in line anyway and they were okay with it. Moving forward to today MID -FEBRUARY 2023 already still no update nor anything. If my daughter is already next in their waitlist I don't think the wait should be this long. I guess we just paid $80 (nonrefundable) for a reservation for nothing! I cant speak for the education and care provided to children as my daughter didnt even get to attend this school. However, my husband and I didnt appreciate how we were treated whenever we call for an update here and there by Crystal. She was just nice at the beginning with us.

Both my kids attended Pre-K at Our Redeemer and there's no other…read moreplace I'd rather have them spend 2 early years of their lives.  It was recommended by a friend and when I walked in the large playground area during the tour I said to myself, "Oh yeah, this is IT!" - it instantly gave quintessential sweet preschool vibes, with each of the classrooms opening up to the main play area, colored designated doors, with windows adorned with kid's colorful and imaginative artwork.  The playground boasted lots of varying actvities and manipulatives to attract and stimulate a wide array of interests (wooden logs, sand box, vegetable garden, music area, mud kitchen, tricycle/scooter track, a large play set and more!)  The staff is as kind, gentle, welcoming and understanding as can be - Miss Jackie welcomes everyone from the front office with a smile (it's like she's never had a bad day!) and is the can-do woman who wears many hats, the Director, Peggy Schreiber, is a lovely and caring soul who handles everything with grace and ease, Mrs. Flint is the bright and smiley face upon drop-off and pick-up everyday, who is a breeze to chat with (you can tell she takes genuine interest in our lives). The teachers are all great - my kids had Mrs. Flores who is just a dream in every single way. Mrs Varela and Mrs. Washington were both amazing as well! I want to feel that they care for my child. If I'm treated that way, how is my child being treated. I approached the director regarding the bathroom situation and she said unless they won the lotto the children will have to use the same bathroom. But there will always be supervision. REALLY?!?! My son came to Peppermint Junction from an in home daycare to Pre-k. With Ms. Lory's loving and gentle approach, he adapted quickly and loves going to school. He is currently in T-k with Ms. Kelly and he blossomed to be communicative, thoughtful, understanding of what is being asked of him and the expectations. All teachers work incredibly well together and their number one priority is the children, ensuring they are feeling secure mentally, socially, and physically. If you ever have questions about how and why certain things are done, the teachers are more than happy to explain and work collaboratively with the parents. I can't say enough good things about the experiences I have had at Peppermint Junction and the caring staff/owner. My daughter also enjoyed her time here. I loved that her speech improved while attention peppermint. I felt the establishment was safe and well equipped for my babies. They also had no complaints or code violations when I looked them up so it made me feel at ease. Honestly it was one of the best rated schools in the Oxnard area. I was hesitant as my kids have attended mostly Montessori but after a few weeks I was sure this was a great decision. We unfortunately moved out of the area but if we hadn't our kids would 100% still be going here! Thank you so much Ms. Melanie, Ms. Corrina and Ms. Helen for everything! We will miss you ladies.
