Aesthetically pleasing and the vibe at this studio is like no other in town. Oxygen is by far the closet comparison to the style of yoga that I've been practicing in San Diego. Cons: if you're like me and don't like loud music with a person over a microphone, this studio isn't for you. I was highly overwhelmed with the volume of the music. Oxygen Fitness Studio has been such a great change to my life and workouts. I have attended yoga studios, CrossFit gyms, and chain regular gyms in the past but oxygen has been the best fit by far for me. I am originally from south Florida and attending classes at oxygen has made Augusta feel more like home. I took my first class in October 2020 and since then I have lost 25 lbs. I highly recommend trying different classes and different instructors - they all bring a different experience to each workout. My mental health is so much better when I'm working out at oxygen regularly. I can really tell how I feel when I stop making it a priority. I personally love all the classes at Oxygen and I am going to be sad when I move from Augusta after school because finding a fitness studio like oxygen is going to be hard! This is without a doubt the most elite yoga studio outside of Atlanta Georgia or Columbia South Carolina. It has a pristine ambience and stellar instructors. It's located in Augusta's Phinest shopping Center near the Augusta National Golf Club and Augusta University. I'm not even a member of this gym but I called there to try to get information regarding membership, and number one the girl on the phone was getting help from someone obviously standing next to her who just kept chiming in to the conversation when the girl I was asking the questions of didn't know the answers . Also they then told me unbelievably that if you don't come in on an introductory offer it's $200 a month if you pay month by month otherwise it's $125 a month which is insane ! There are gyms that I've belong to by the way in the area that are charging $10 a month and they're very good gyms and I'm from New York and they don't even charge that highway robbery for a gym membership! They're insane to charge people $200 a month and then personal trainers are over and above that price so they're not even included in your membership which is another insane part of this membership racket! I will never join the gym that has these insane prices! And coming from New York that's saying an awful lot! read more

I moved here from another state and simply couldn't find a gym where the people motivated me to workout. as someone who always trained with heavy weights and a trainer, a boutique gym wasn't exactly what I was looking for, however, when I met Richie and he showed me around, I fell In love with the gym, the people, the trainers, and the atmosphere. I have been a member for over a year now and it's been my saving grace. the trainers push you to constantly be better. the people who have joined here are so incredibly nice, non-judgemental, and we are all in this together. the person next to me in each workout pushes me harder. if you can do it so can I. there is a variety of classes, making this gym a great choice for anyone! read more

Such a wonderful studio! I have tried all of the classes and none have let me down. I discovered barre and spin at this studio, and I would highly recommend both. I won't repeat everything that was said by previous reviewers- I highly recommend joining here! I consider myself to be pretty fit, and regularly lift weights and do yoga. Within 2 months of classes at Oxygen, I lost 3% body fat and gained 5 lbs of muscle. The instructors are wonderful, particularly Joni and Haylee- they were always so warm, welcoming, and genuine. One of the best fitness studios I've ever been to! Welcoming atmosphere and great facilities. I seriously wish I had a studio like this in Raleigh, NC-- I would be so much more motivated to get fit. I attended the Barre class and it was a phenomenal workout! Anna was a fantastic trainer, energetic and peppy without being annoying. They also have circuit and spinning classes which I can't wait to check out next time I'm in town. Only $10 to drop in (half the price of bigger cities) and great deals on month-to-month memberships. Came with a friend yesterday for Hot Yoga. I am new to Yoga/Yoga Studios in general, as most of my time is spent in a gym. After taking this class with Pam, I have added finding my own yoga studio to start attending classes in my city. The studio is very nice, clean, smells great and seems to run organized. Everyone was very friendly and happy to help. Pam was amazing, her instructions were clear so even an almost first-timer like myself could follow along well. I left feeling refreshed and excited to add this to my own fitness routine. If I'm back in the area, I'll be sure to stop by for another class! read more

Friendly staff and def a good work out. Equipment is nice and clean. My favorite instructors were Bridget and Dennis. They do a good job of making sure you get a great work out. The 30 day trial for $50 was worth it. Easy to book and cancel appts with their app. read more

I would have given this place 5 stars several years ago but it has definitely diminished over the years. The owner is an awesome teacher when she teaches. She used to teach more classes than she does now. I believe she had a part in helping me get in shape back in the day but now the instructor turn over is crazy. The new instructors are not up to par and make me feel like I am going to church not to the club. There is no motivation by these instructors. The price has gone up with no notice but the instructors abilities has gone down. Not the best business plan in my opinion. I just wish Oxygen would go back to its roots and start fresh. They also don't make any changes once suggestions are made. They don't try to keep clients by any means which is a turn off since you are spending a pretty penny to be there. read more

I can only speak to the yoga classes, but they are wonderful!!! Other studios I have been too keep the room at a temperature that makes me want to pass out, but this is perfect. I went to Oxygen for their $30 for 30 days offer a little while back. I heard such great things about their Barre classes and wanted to check it out. The studio is located in the Surrey Center which gives it a very "Boutiquey and Sophisticated" feel. (You won't find any obnoxious "No Necks"/Grunting Gym Rats here). Since it is quite literally in a store front- the lobby is a bit crowded during class transitions as everyone is scrambling for a place to put their shoes back on. There are many nice touches- like ponytail holders in the ladies room. You can even reserve a mat space online and they will lay it out for you with the equipment. It may seem a little intimidating- but everyone was SO WARM and friendly every time I went. Don't think for a second that because of all the "Foo Foo" you won't get your ass handed to you....The Barre classes are TOP NOTCH, folks. I have been around the country taking classes and the real deal is in Augusta. Who knew? Any given moment during the class- you will see legs working so hard they are SHAKING. They also offer other top-notch classes like Spin, TRX, Piloxing, and I believe, Bikram Yoga. The owners seem very dedicated on keeping up with the latest fitness trends, and you can tell. Personally, there are a few things that keep this from being my "Home gym": 1. When I go to the gym, I really like to warm up on a treadmill before a class, or maybe lift weights or stretch after. There isn't a designated open workout space to do that. There is a second studio that is part of Oxygen that is at the end of the mall, but it it only open for classes and personal training. So I feel like I have to "Get in and Get Out" for the next class. If you are strapped for time- this is the studio for you. 2. No Childcare (That's just for me) 3. It's a bit pricey- but the classes are worth every penny. They do have offers and punch cards, so check with them. Maybe one day they will move to a bigger space...I think it is inevitable as they really have a good thing going. read more

I love oxygen! It is my favorite gym yet! I love group classes and it offers great variety with great instructors. They even make me love cardio. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and they push you hard! They make working out challenging yet fun at the same time. I was a little sad they increased the fee to join, but I'm happy to see that it's going toward updating their equipment and making the place even better. I do wish the increased price included something extra like guest passes to people who sign up for a year. I'd love to bring my friends or family to try it out. Additionally, I wish they had more hand weights. Sometimes I come to class and have to use weights lighter than I would like because they don't have enough. Visiting from DC and looking for a good workout. Oxygen was a great facility and staff were quite helpful. Love that they have hand-scraped HW floors and a lot of nice warm earth tone touches. Took the cardio barre class and definitely felt the quad and glute work on the bar, towards the end of class. Drop in was only $12, or day pass for $16 if I wanted to come back for hot yoga or another class. Only things to be aware of are the time consuming routes to get to the Surrey Plaza (where Oxygen is located) and that GPS takes you to the fast food wing shop down the street, so finding this spot is not so easy. read more

Sad to only be in Augusta for the weekend, and have to time for one class at Oxygen. This studio is absolutely beautiful! Large, amazing interiors, clean, lots of new/clean equipment. There are several bathrooms, and one has a shower. I always looks for this, as I like to be able to workout before work and shower without having to go home. A drop in class was only 15 dollars - not bad compared to the 20-30 I've encountered at other studios. The staff was extremely helpful and a sweet girl spent 5 minutes with me giving me a tour and explaining all the classes the studio offers. Participated in a Saturday 9am oxyblast with Cara. This was similar to an orange theory class, in that you switched between 5 minutes on the treadmill, 5 minutes on the floor. With 4 total rounds and great music, the class flies by. It was definitely a great workout, and an awesome way to start the weekend. Cara was clear, easy to understand, and upbeat. If you have a chance, check out oxygen! read more

Having recently moved to Augusta from Atlanta, I was excited to find a gym that offered all classes I wanted the opportunity to try - I could not be more impressed with Oxygen! The facilities are great, the schedule offers tons of class options throughout the day, and the instructors/staff are the friendliest, most welcoming group I have experienced - zero gym intimidation! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone, whether you live in Augusta full-time or are visiting for the weekend.
