We had a king room, which was nicely furnished, had lots of surface space for luggage, a desk and comfortable chair, an easy chair, and 2 ottomans. There was a floor safe inside the armoire. The bed was comfortable and there were choices of firm or soft pillows. Each of the nightstands had outlets, and there were wall-mounted sconces above the nightstands. The room and bathroom were very clean. Toiletries were Dove brand. Breakfast was better than at many similar hotels. There were more choices of hot items (for example, turkey sausage and pork sausage), and the cinnamon rolls were wonderful. The coffee was dispensed from Costa machines that are always available in the lobby, and it was actually good. Both decaf and regular coffee were available and ground freshly each time. The person taking care of the breakfast area was very diligent in keeping it clean and well stocked. There was a reasonably-priced guest laundry on the 2nd floor. Quarters are needed, and these and detergent are available in the lobby. My only complaints are that the self- closing room doors were quite loud, the bed was high (be careful getting out!), and our room was on the first floor adjacent to the pool. The lighting at the pool was on all night and impossible to completely block out with the curtains. Also, hot water supply was lacking between about 7-7:30 am both days of our stay. All in all, we had a good stay and would consider returning if in the area again.

He arranged that extra pillows and a roll-away bed were put in the room for us before we arrived. When we entered the hotel lobby to check in, Rhett and his staff were very friendly, gave us a warm welcome, and made us feel like special guests. Our room was clean and quiet and had a great view. The wifi worked great, the a/c was nice and cold, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of delicious choices, including a waffle-making section. They had complimentary USA Today newspapers, and they had ice-cream novelties for sale for $2 each if you wanted a midnight snack! We are grateful for everything Rhett and the staff did for us to make our stay wonderful! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Our room was as expected for a typical Hampton Inn. The bathroom had some slight issues such as a rusted drain and light stains on the walls, but other than that, everything else was fine. The bed was comfortable, tv and small fridge all working , and everything else in good , presentable condition. All in all, this is a good choice for Winter Haven and Legoland visits. There are lots of places nearby to eat and grab necessities.

Here is the best part...when I went to the 2nd floor for my complimentary breakfast the next morning I got scolded for grabbing an orange and apple to go. The Room: there was a smell of men's cologne. I immediately called down to the front desk and explained and requested a different room. I was told they would send Maintenance up to check and evaluate. He came up with a can of Febreeze. He told us that there were no other rooms available and offered to spray the room. I expressed my concerns of the cleanliness of the room since a dresser had dirty drippings on it and showed him. He wiped it and that was that for him. After he left I tried to settle in and went to plug my Phone charge in the wall and it fell out. The outlets are so old/worn it would not stay in. I checked the only other outlet I had access to and it wasn't even working. I called down again and when Maintenance came up I showed him and he didn't have an answer. I asked if they had a powerstrip to provide since I absolutely needed access to power. He provided that and at least one issue was resolved. My wife was very upset with the condition of the room. It was very unkempt, patchwork walls, stains, ceiling tiles discolored (moldy, maybe). She went in the bathroom and at this point refused to go in again and this made for an even more uncomfortable night. I was blamed for picking the worst hotel in Winter Haven and used the pictures from your website as my defense for not knowing the truth. It was too late at this point to find another room in the area as when we called around they were all booked. The fan for the AC was SO LOUD and we needed it on to keep the air circulating since the Door was not aligned properly and the smell from the hallway was getting in the room. I put towels at the door to block off the air from getting in as much as I could. This made for a bad night's sleep. To make it even worse, we were woken up to the sight of a Roach walking on the bed. After we left our room we were once again met with the smell of weed as if the person was smoking outside our room and just left. Breakfast: The only almost good part of the stay was breakfast but that was ruined by "Pauline" watching over everyone's shoulder and it was so uncomfortable. Her unpleasant demeanor as she walked by every minute complaining how she was in at 5 and is only open from 6-9 and turned away a family of what looked like 8 at a few minutes to 9. One vacationer complained that the Milk tasted funny and Pauline said "not possible, I just replaced it. It must be because you brushed your teeth and that will through off the taste." She used that excuse for a couple other people that complained about other things. I took pictures. I will forever be blamed by my family for picking this room and being put in this situation. I promised them this will NEVER happen again because we will NEVER be back to this Hotel and possibly any other Choice Hotel after this Experience. No effort was made to make it right before it snowballed by the Staff. *Pictures on their site are either OLD so they look nicer or I was there after some Cataclysmic Event because the Hotel looked Run Down. Nothing like the Pictures and People should be informed. **I did send this to post this for the Quality Inn & Suites, Winter Haven, FL but they did not Post it on their site as of this posting. Our room had a king bed, a round table with 2 chairs, a very long counter under the TV with 2 stools, and a small sectional sofa. While the bed was very comfortable, the seating options were not. The sectional had a pull-out bed. The king bedside nightstands each had ceiling- hung lights, 2 outlets, and 2 USB ports. All worked, but outlets showed signs of getting loose. We appreciated that there was excellent lighting in the room and bathroom. The bathroom light had a motion detection feature that might be a problem for those who awaken during the night to use the bathroom. It's like a wake up call. We didn't see an easy way to disable this. We liked the perimeter-lit mirror and walk-in shower. The shower floor seemed slippery at first but was fine once wet. Breakfast was just so-so. Within a walled-off space there were hot options of eggs, sausage patties, and seasoned potatoes, plus a yogurt machine, pancake maker, juice machine, and coffee machines. No waffle machine, though. Within the eating area, there was a Bunn coffee brewer for single cups. Internet was acceptable, with no major glitches in our room. This newer hotel could be an excellent value for a family visiting a nearby theme park. We enjoyed our one-night stay.
