I also loved the location; there's a Waffle House right next door, a Burger King literally steps away (perfect for those late-night Hershey's Pie cravings ), and plenty of nearby stores like Target, Ross, and more. If you have a late flight, I recommend reaching out to the hotel ahead of time. They don't normally offer late-night check-in, but if you contact them, they can accommodate it. The staff was respectful and helpful, and since we were out exploring most of the time, we didn't run into any issues during our stay. We didn't really take advantage of the amenities, but on our last day I spent some time by the pool to relax and tan. It was quiet, peaceful, and I had the whole area to myself. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again in the future!

The door to the room had gap between the floor & bottom of the door. That explains the spider getting in. The WIFI didn't work in my area/room. Total dead zone. I jad watch cable all 4 days. Front desk was no help getting connected to the WiFi either. Night Two: Discovered the shower bar that usually hold up the curtain was severely warped/bent. Good luck trying to keep the floor try. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Someone steps out & slips & cracks their head. Day 3: Disruptive neighbors. Their children were loud & inconsiderate. Banging on my door & window. I nearly started a fight with the parent. Day 4: Apparently there's a time window to wash clothes. The owner of this place is trying to save dimes & pennies on water utility by not letting people waah clothes after 7:00pm. But yet people can shower in the rooms for as much as they want. SoOoO that doesn't make sense. Hot day? Wanna swim in the pool that you saw before you booked the room? Well you can't because its disgusting & hasn't been cleaned. Again, because the owner refuses to give the money maintain it. I will never take my family on a vacation to a DaysInn ever again. And this place is owned by Wyndham? That's embarrassing.

They do have a laundry room.However, people will move your clothes and go through them.I have gotten into altercations over this issue. Lots of suspicion activity. Most locals know this place for its drug activities. This is almost every motel from here to dundee I am a local and I only use this place when I absolutely need to.They do offer weekly rates which was my main reason.

We thought we might take this first year to look around both coasts to possibly move the following year. That didn't happen....we fell in love with the people here and loved all the activities and events happening in the park. There are so many things to do here: Bingo, card games, dances, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, an AWESOME New Year's Party, tons of day trips, overnight trips to Key West and New Orleans, cruises arranged by residents in the park. We have a mixed chorus, karaoke, golf and bowling!! If that is not enough, how about line dancing, water aerobics, and pot luck dinners?? And only about 20 minutes from Disney World, where we purchase resident annual passes at a discount !! The best part about LaCasa are the people. We have met many, many new people who have become lifetime friends. We all visit each other in the summer, traveling to Canada or the Midwest this past summer. We hosted three couples at our home, allowing us to keep the friendships fresh. We love this place and have no intention of moving to another community. I stumbled on to the State Motel Thanksgiving weekend and I'm glad I did. The friendliest front desk staff gets you in your room fast and with a smile. The room is huge, yet warm and inviting. It comes with mini-fridge, micro and what might be the most comfortable beds in Florida. At a great rate I know I'll be back for many stays. In fact, I'd go out of my way to stay here. It's Great !

The carpets are in desperate need of being replaced, the desk chair and other chair in the room were covered in stains. The bathroom FOR SURE was NOT cleaned prior to our arrival. The faucet in the shower dropped all night. Long black hair everywhere and pubic hair everywhere...super gross!!!! The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because I did speak with management and they did make sure our room was cleaned properly the following day (there were no other hotels, we would've left trust me). They offer free parking and the breakfast isn't the best but it's not the worst either (pancakes, biscuits& gravy, assorted cereals, yogurts, muffins/donuts, coffee, juice). The pool area seemed ok.
