Whole fish and chips

What a great restaurant in Pine Mountain. This was our second visit and like the first it did not disappoint. Our server Brook was fantastic, she was very attentive to our needs. Our food was freshly cooked and very tasty. As we were sitting next to we're the food came out, we were able to see many different items and everything look very good. We had the whole fish and chips, which was plenty for two people. The beer was nice and cold. The coleslaw was very, very good. We will return when in the area again.

The food was delicious and the service was good! The lobster and shrimp Mac n cheese was a must have! Shrimp boil was good and flavorful and they wings were huge! Would definitely stop here on the way to Callaway gardens!

This is the view from my seat... not quite the date night ambiance we were expecting

Service = excellent Food= good Ambiance and experience for price = awful: Loud :did you see where we sat- right next to the service line Cold: every time the front door opens you get a blast of cold air Tables look like they're from a diner or Waffle House Salmon plate ($28) looks like fast food. Paper towels on the table instead of napkins Just not what we expected for a pricey restaurant

First time visitors. Ample portions. Seasoned well. Indoor and heated patio seating. We sat on patio and our server Kelsey was very attentive. Not a long wait for food. We will def be back!

I've eaten oysters all over North America. I grew up on the east coast. This is the best on the North American Continent. Oh the Losber Mac is also a 10 on a 5 point scale. And the Manhattan is as good as any Flagship restaurant in NYC. Kendal is a fabulous bar tender. The har tender is jus Amazing The rest of the drinks are amazing. And on top of all that. Prices are great. Brittany service was 2nd to none. Finishing with a Key Lime Pie that would rock Key West

This place was great. Crab legs and shrimp were awesome. The shrimp and crab dip was just ok. Loved the outdoor vibe and had great service.

AVOID AVOID AVOID as if your life depended on it. I appreciate great customer service and am always…read moresure to tip very generously and review accordingly. When I search reviews on a business before going, I don't just accept them at face value, but rather, read them and determine if the reviewers are just entitled brats. lol Now that being said: here we go... ha ha This place was the worst experience I can recall with a business in nearly 50 years of life. It was very cold outside, and looking at the online pics looked like it was open-air seating only. So I called them to ensure there was also indoor seating at this cool looking bar. It was 8pm. The man reassured us there were indoor seating options. He then asked "are ya'll coming tonight?" I replied that we were. He then said "how long?" I then asked what time they closed. He replied at 10pm. A little perplexed, I let him know we were on the way. Red flag #1. I told my husband I didn't want to feel rushed out the door if they were trying to close early and didn't really get the vibe they wanted our business. He suggested we just give them a try anyway. When we pulled up, we noticed maybe 3 cars in the parking lot of this very big property. Red flag #2. As we entered the hotel, the gentleman asked us if we called about the bar. We said yes and he directed us to the entrance doors. The entrance was essentially the exit... to the outdoors. HAHA It was approx 40 degrees outside. As my husband and I looked a little perplexed, a female approached where we were standing, never even looked at us or acknowledged us in ANY way and said to the gentleman, "WHAT DO THEY WANT?" He informed her we were there for the bar. We asked where the indoor seating was. Y'ALL... this man took us back in the hotel lobby and pointed at the lobby area. You want us to eat a late dinner and have drinks at this cool looking bar, but in actuality we sit where patrons eat their continental breakfast and are served by someone who has all but said "why are you here?" What?? So... my husband and I said no thank you and went to Cowboy Town which is a very short drive away. Please go there instead. Great food and drinks with a super cool small town vibe, live music, and barrel racing most weekends. Maybe when the weather is warm and the pool is open, The View would be a cool establishment. But it needs to be seasonal only and absolutely closed the remainder of the year. Bless it. I do believe the reviews you see are mostly BS. Please pay very close attention to the details of them.

The burger was everything a burger should be. Service was friendly and timely for made it order food. They have a full menu of Chicken, burgers, shrimp, mushrooms, wings and more. We were super impressed and thankful we stopped. Open air to outside. Hours: Tues-Sat 2pm to 10pm currently.

The ambiance is casual barroom with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat at a hightop table inside. Sara, our server, was very attentive, friendly, and quick. To start, I had a bottle of Stella Artois. Sara asked if I wanted it in a chilled glass and I'm so glad I said yes. It was so cold and tasty. To eat, my fiancé and I shared several things and ate every bite: Caesar salad, tortilla chips with beer cheese dip, margherita flatbread, and Mediterranean flatbread. The Caesar was decent--nothing to write home about, but it got the job done. The beer cheese dip with the chips was super yummy, especially paired with the beer I was drinking. Both flatbreads were pretty good! We both favored the Mediterranean! If you're looking for casual bar dining in Pine Mountain, GA, this is your place! Lots of activities!

Then she had a bit of an attitude.

The menu had more drink options than actual food options. It was very chicken, burger, and salad heavy so not too much variation. Literally your choices were either a burger or a sandwich. I opted for the chicken ranch rap with a side of tater tots which was actually really good. I recommend getting ranch on the side as well too because the wrap was a little dry but not unbearable. The tater tots were delicious though. Lovely view of the greenery and decent service as well

It is in the building with the golf shop right next to the place where you start your golfing adventure. It is just to the west of Mr Cason's Garden. You have to pay to get into the park and you need a key card to get into the parking lot unless you walk. We were visiting the gardens and decided to rent a golfcart for a day. This location is where you pick them up and return them so we decided to get a bite to eat. That is how we found Champion's Grille. It was a little space next to the pro shop. There are a few tables inside and some outside. The one person manning the counter was very nice. The menu is pretty basic but they have the essentials of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings, wraps, burgers, fries and drinks. We ordered and got our burger and french fries very quickly. The burger was good although I was not a fan of the fries. The sandwiches and burgers were $15-$20 so it is a little more expensive than local but it was good. Overall, it is a nice place to get a bite in the middle of the gardens or before or after your golf game. Enjoy.

I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
