Both my friend and I were pleasantly shocked by this lovely little joint. We were supposed to go to the thai restaurant across the street but for some reason it was closed. We ended up just popping in here.
The ambiance is romantic and the seating is limited. We ddin't make a reservation, coming in at 8pm but we were lucky and got seated right away. By the time we were eating, the restaurant was packed full.
It's a very typical French restaurant. All the appetizers are 10 EUR, mains are 17EUR, and dessert (8 or 10 EUR) If you do their price fixed, it's about 25 Euro for two selections (app+main, or main+des) and maybe 30EUR for all three. Some dishes cost a couple Eur more.
We had a ravioli cassoulet for app, which was tiny tiny ravilolis drowned in creme fraiche. It was so good. And then for main, i had a chicken with couscous. It was incredible. I very rarely see star anise as a spice in food, and they used it perfectly. The portions were huge as well. I could not finish my chicken! My friend had a cheeseburger and she really liked it as well.
Service was great. No issues whatsoever.
I would definitely recommend this place. read more
