I accompanied my sister and her kids to his new office in New Jersey the other day. So THIS is a modern dentist's office looks like! A Wii station for kids in the waiting room. Colorful prints, murals, and canvases on the walls. Even personal LCD panels at each dentists station so you can get your Netflix fix on while you're getting your teeth fixed. My my old dentists office, we were just happy when we got a kids toothbrush. How times have changed. They've also stocked the office with the latest dental equipment and technology--new cleaning tools, digital x-rays, and comfortable chairs for the patients. This office is in a word, amazing. Highly recommend! My daughter loves Dr. Chang! Dr. Chang was kind and not at all intimidating for my very shy daughter. He smiled through the whole exam and cleaning, and explained each step so there were no surprises. He also made it a point to tell me what he was seeing and ask if I had any questions. The office is new and approachable for little kids. I was really happy to see how relaxed my daughter was through her whole visit. Loved this place. Dr. Chang was very courteous and helpful. He did a good job, despite my little one doing a lot of screaming and crying during the cleaning (he stopped as soon as the cleaning was done, so no harm done). Dr. Piccoli has seen both kids since they turned 1. Dr. Piccoli and the staff at P&C Pediatric dentistry are kind and friendly to the kids. We saw Dr. Chang during one visit and he was also very friendly. The doctors are actually great with the kids. The office it self, is the kid friendliest Doctors office we have been to. They honestly thought of everything, from the wall decor, to the kid friendly shows, the office is perfect for kids! I arrived yesterday at 9:30am for my 5 year old daughters FIRST EVER trip to the dentist and MAN did I pick the perfect place. I walked right in and was shown to a room, there was NO wait, which was honestly almost disappointing because the waiting room looked like a lot of fun. They had a TV with cartoons on, another screen lower down (in a little "kids corner" type area) hooked up to a Wii, and an iPad screwed to the wall with more games than I could even count. We went right into the exam room and I was given an iPad to fill out all the first time paperwork. Front desk staff was extremely pleasant, which is not often the case with medical offices. The nurse was very sweet and polite and attentive, and within under a minute Dr. Chang was in the room and ready to go. I have never been to ANY kind of medical establishment for myself or otherwise, where I haven't had to wait, it was absolutely incredible. Dr. Change was so kind and patient with my daughter, he let her see each of his instruments and explained what each one was for and how it works etc. The nurse let her pick her toothpaste flavor (vanilla, chocolate, bubble gum, and like 3 other options) which I thought was really nice. They had another TV on an arm above the chair so that patients can watch tv while they have their cleaning done! As soon as my daughter hopped in the chair the nurse told her that she could pick whatever she wanted from Netflix, and of course we have Netflix at home ourselves so she knew exactly what she wanted. The cleaning went smoothly, quickly, and without any incident or complaint from my daughter. She was given a new toothbrush and mini toothpaste and we were on our way. I had to stop in the waiting room and fill out the registration paperwork AFTER she was all done, because I had never had the time to fill it out since everything went so fast! I was in at 9:30am and heading back to my car by 10am. Absolutely wonderful experience, great atmosphere and staff, the walls are bright abstract colorful murals and artwork, the nurses all seem happy to be there and eager to help. I will never be changing dentists if every visit continues to be this pleasant. I picked my daughter up from school yesterday and she asked if we could go BACK to the dentist soon!? Thank you P&C team for taking great care of her and making her first experience so positive. I don't know about other people, but this was DEFINITELY NOT what I remember the dentist being like as a kid. read more

Going to this dentist was the WORST experience ever. If you want a decent, kind and understanding dentist... DO NOT go to Dr. piccoli. He did work on my daughter who had some dental issues, some cavities and crowding. He made me and my daughter feel very bad about her dental issues. He spoke very negatively all the time and always made my daughter feel bad and uncomfortable. On my last visit, he harassed and confronted me about skipping an appointment which I told him I called and canceled but he insisted I did not. Theres many more rude things which he said also he pressured m to do procedures I did not want to do. And the staff was the same, extremely rude, THEY DO NOT LIKE when you cancel appointments. and they would ask for payment before we even saw the doctor. If you go here go to dr. chang, stay away from Dr. Piccioli, The absolute worst. read more

I tried Dr Chang for the first time with my five year old this fall. Everything went very smoothly, and the insurance covered everything. Xrays, cleaning, exam and floride. I am only giving 4 stars bc it was a first visit and we had no extraordinary circumstances. But everything was pleasant. The waiting room has some kid-friendly media. Although I thought it a bit too modern for kids tastes. In the exam room they have cartoons that my son could watch and so it kept him very still for his first cleaning. It was quick, and efficient. Greedy!! Very greedy! We have excellent insurance, which leaves us with a copay of a little over a hundred dollars per child. They didn't allow us to make a payment towards the copay..they wanted the entire balance upfront! We have more than one child so it was a little inconvenient and not so practical to make the entire payment for all of our children! We then had to cancel our 5 year old daughters appointment to extract a severely infected tooth, bc that would be another copay they would need upfront! So sure they called numerous times to "check" on how our kids were feeling, and happened to mention the very fair review we left on their website ( that they went ahead and removed) so what is the purpose of a review if they are just going to delete the ones that they don't approve of? So we had to pick up our children's records for an emergency extraction, that they again agreed to give to us, without mentioning once they expected full payment before they would hand them over, this is with them knowing our daughters current situation, they told us they can't fax it bc X-rays can't be read, what they meant to say is you need to take care of your bill in full, guess they couldn't find the words.. Probably bc the non personable staff didn't have much words to begin with..guess their training only persists of how to collect payment! They should all be ashamed of themselves! Whatever happened to putting children first! Again, we have excellent dental coverage, so they in no way were being underpaid! Unbelievable! The only reason we are giving them one star is bc the dentist was decent while handling our children, our new dentist allows a very convenient payment plan! read more

We had a very bad experience with this clinic. I was able to make an appointment with their dental staff. Before we went there I had made sure that they are accepting our dental plan. As we arrived to the clinic they turned us down because we have an HMO plan, that we need a referral from a general dentist before we could see their dentist. After three days later they have called us that we could actually see them (without any referral)and make another appointment. They also told me that maybe I was confused with another clinic because my son's appointment is not in their records. It is such an embarrassing situation and waste of time on our part by going to their clinic. Unfortunately, I can't remember the staff who made an appointment for us. I just hope no one would experience this kind of stuff again. read more
