The driver was nice, however, he did not inform me I could have my car towed to my house right down the road. So, my car ends up in their so called "impound" which is actually right in the front parking lot of their business. I had wanted to get my car towed from Talon to my house, so I was not paying storage fees, and was originally told by Talon, just after the accident, that I could do this and the total charge for Talon's original towing would be $157. However, when I called back I was told by their phone rep the "impound" is closed on Sunday and I could get my car Monday morning, and I would be charged the $157 plus $25 storage for Sunday. However, I was there when they opened on Monday morning and was charged the $157 PLUS TWO days of storage ($25 x 2) PLUS a $40 "administrative fee" PLUS $7.41 for using a credit card, for a total of $254.41 for Talon to tow my car and have it on their lot less than 24 hours (2PM Sunday to 8:15AM Monday)! Do yourself a HUGE favor and DO NOT use Talon. I called Affordable Towing to tow my car from Talon to my house, which was more miles than Talon towed my car, and it was a flat $140, and Affordable Towing even put my car in my garage! If you have an accident and ESPECIALLY if you do not have towing coverage, be sure to call the towing company of your OWN choice and make sure it is NOT Talon.

I was traveling from Punta Gorda to Clearwater with my daughter and her friend. We were just about…read moremidway when the car overheated. I was reluctant to pull to the side of the road on Rt. 75 so since I was close to an exit I decided to say a prayer that the car would make it to a safe place to stop; I was hoping for an AutoZone or O'Reilly's but when I saw smoke coming from under the hood we ended up in a CVS parking lot at 6 PM on a Friday evening. I'm an eternal optimist and even I thought I was crazy thinking I would find a mechanic at that hour but lo and behold there was the Sarasota Mobile Mechanic. The owner/mechanic (along with his daughter in training) was there within a half-hour. Long story short the radiator was low on fluid. Upon inspection, he found no leaks and said it looked like it was due to the radiator cap that wasn't factory original and didn't fit properly. With the radiator now sufficiently filled he said we should be good to go. He wasn't even going to charge me anything, I had to offer to give him a little something for his trouble. We got to Clearwater with no further issues in time for the second half of the high school football game that we were going there to watch. We drove around Clearwater on Saturday then over to USF on Sunday and back to Punta Gorda without any sign of overheating. Wanting to write a review, I almost thought I wouldn't be able to find the business because part of me believed he was an angel and only existed long enough to help me and my precious cargo.

On Oct. 17, 2016, at approximately 7:30 pm I blew a tire on my rental car. It was a very harrowing experience, as I was alone and on the side of the road. The kindness of the Sarasota police, a lady and her husband who stopped, and my neighbor will not be forgotten. But most of all, the tow truck driver & his wife from P&J Towing were especially helpful and comforting. They apologized for taking so long, although I didn't think it was too long (45 min.). They loaded up my rental car on their flatbed tow truck and took me and my car to the Sarasota Airport for no extra charge. The tow truck driver walked with me into the terminal to the Alamo counter. There, I secured another rental car. I can't say enough about this wonderful young couple who helped me out in my time of need. God Bless you and your family. After being on the phone for about an hour with State Farm to be told that I did not have Road Side Assistance, I called P and J Towing Service. I placed the call at 9:00 and by 9:35 my son's car was picked up. The tow truck driver was wonderful and was even able to give my son some tips on how to keep his Q45 Infiniti car running. I will not hesitate to use them again. It turned a frustrating evening into a great one. P and J really did work with me and my son. I was broken down 2 hours south of my home, emotional and scared. The driver Riley took care of me and my car. He was friendly, calming, professional and courteous. He made sure I was secure in his truck and then took care of my car. He had a cold drink waiting for me and the air on after I waited 3 hours for AAA to find a company to come and get me in 95 degree weather. These people care! Oscar was great very helpful and friendly highly recommend P&J towing. I ran out of gas I put gas in Injectors were not priming he came and we tried a few things even called the dealer to ask if they had any tips and tricks. Here's why: Our alternator decided to die in Bradenton, of all places on the Manatee River bridge, so we spent a HARROWING hour on the side of the interstate, trying to diagnose the issue and ultimately calling a tow truck. We were stuck standing on a narrow strip of concrete between the truck (in the breakdown lane) and the side of the bridge watching cars going at 70-80 mph, many of them veering into the breakdown lane (likely distracted by looking at the water or their phones) only to notice at the last minute that we were stalled there (with no electronics and no ability to put on hazard lights) then swerving back into their lane to avoid us, it was unnerving, to say the least. We called a tow truck, and, in short order after placing the call, an angel of a tow truck driver arrived - Scott, of Scott's Towing. Scott immediately ushered us to safety in his tow truck and had us handled and off the interstate in a matter of minutes. We coordinated a drop-off & next-day repairs with another really nice young man at a repair shop (Cameron at Tire Choice). Now, my husband can fix anything mechanical, and had we been near his wide array of tools, he could have done the work himself, but that's not how the story went. So, after depositing our car outside the repair shop, Scott spent another 45 minutes or so with us, loaning us what tools he had and helping us to determine if there was any quick fix that could be done. When we concluded it was the alternator and could not be fixed on the spot, Scott insisted on driving us to a hotel. He thoughtfully helped us to select a lovely and historic Hilton/Hampton Inn downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and other places we might need as we waited out the repair. His towing fee was SUPER reasonable, very fair, and though we tipped on the tow, Scott refused our offer of an additional tip for his continued kindness and assistance. Scott is one of a kind in the world of towing and beyond - just a really good human who really cares about helping others, and we highly recommend him and his business if you find yourself in need of a tow.
