I had a scheduled appointment for my 45000-mile service, (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) at Rivard GMC on Adamo Drive. Rivard is where I purchased my 2015 GMC Canyon, All Terrain truck in November 2014. They are the only service facility I have used for the last 9 years and four, (4) months. I made a specific request for the service team to check the under carriage/suspension for anything that could cause a "thumping" noise I hear every time I turn left on a road, or I go up onto my elevated driveway. When I was told my 2015 GMC Canyon was ready, I asked my service advisor if they had found anything that could cause the thumping noise. He said, "we put it on the rack and checked, and we found nothing wrong". The oil change and tire rotation went well as expected. The thumping noise worried me enough to seek a second opinion. I am leaving in three weeks to travel to mayo clinic in Jacksonville, which is 448 miles round trip. I called P&M Automotive in Tampa on South 90th street and got an appointment. When I took the truck in, they drove down their service road and made a series of turns and verified the clunking noise. They put my truck up on an elevated rack and used inspection lights to examine the under-carriage of my truck. They immediately found that my Sway Bar Link on the left side was damaged and needed to be replaced. They ordered two new sway bar links, and I scheduled this Monday morning to have them installed. I just left the P&M Automotive shop after the sway bar links, (2) were replaced. On my way home to Valrico, Fl, I have to make several turns and also drive up my elevated driveway on Miller Road. I am pleased to announce that the "thumping" noise is no longer. I would like to give a shout-out to the owner, Mr. Meuret and Chris, his lead mechanic for figuring out the problem with the thumping noise and then completing an excellent repair by the replacement of both Sway Bar Links. I will no longer go to my dealer for service. They should have noted the obvious damage to the sway bar link, I was shown the damage while the truck was in the air. I am no mechanic, but and I could plainly see the left sway bar link was damaged, when they showed me the difference in conditions of the left and right sway bar link. I have no confidence in my servicing dealer due to the fact that an obvious "defect", (damage Sway Bar Link, (left side), was totally missed. read more

Went here a few times for oil changes. Pros: Gave realistic reviews on how long certain parts have until they give out, seems honest and helpful to their customers. Cons: Expensive. Synthetic oil at most other shops is cheaper than they'll give you for regular. read more
