We had a break down while on a trip to the area in our diesel truck. We called and had our truck towed here. Upon arriving we could see the Google review photos don't match the exterior of this business. After 2 days we got no call with any information. We were told that due to "ICE" he is low on employees, and should know something by morning. We wait...morning comes no call. We wait until evening no answer when we call. The 4th day the man has our vehicle he said he had to leave early because he had to take his wife to the doctor. He has checked some things, but still no diagnosis of the problem. We had rented a vehicle, and so the 5th day rolls around I suggested we drive over. We pop in, and no one is working on the truck. More vehicles have shown up, and everything is just sitting. There is one other employee. The man says he has been feeling ill, and feverish lately. He said he is having someone that knows diesel well come the next day by noon. We finally got a call after 1 week the one and only call!!! He had no diagnosis and no mention of this diesel specialist. We made an appointment at the dealer. We picked up the truck via towing, and had it diagnosed and fixed in 2 days at the dealer. This is not a legit business. Do Not Go Here! We paid our $200 for nothing! It's a waste of time. read more

Had an exhaust overheat issue on my F350. Also knew I had a small coolant/oil leak by radiator. Jose diagnosed all issues and repaired and replaced necessary items. Did have to replace the Intercooler which was expensive but Jose was more than fair. We are winter birds so was nice to find a service provider, and a great guy to work with an take care of my vehicle. Will definitely take to him as needed when we are back. read more

First let me say how greatfull we are to Jose. We are stranded for 10 hours on the I-10 eastbound. To make matters worse, we didn't get towed to his shop until 2am on Saturday morning. He came in to work on 2 other rigs, but stayed late to work on mine. After it was all said and done, he replaced 2 injectors and a new wiring harness. We were back on the road Sunday morning. Here is the craziness part, this dude had a family event on Saturday and Sunday, but he helped me out instead. I can't begin to tell you how much he charged me. Jose, the owner of the diesel shop came out to the RV Park we were staying at in Palm Springs area to diagnosis the problem on a Sunday. He acquired the part number to order parts in advance. broke down coming into Palm Springs. Having trouble with phone and no turbo on our 38 ft. MH towing a car. He stopped what he was doing and hooked us up to his computer. cleared the msgs. and said drive it some and be back in the AM. Allowed us to park onsite and said we would be safe. Located a piston for the pacbrake was broken/wore out and jerryrigged a fix as that part was not available. We finished our trip to Oregon and made it back to Phoenix with no further issues. Bounced my Dodge Ram 3500 through one too many potholes while camping on BLM land near Joshua Tree National Forest. Hit a small boulder and trashed my fan clutch wiring harness. I knew I needed a mechanic. So I limped my way to Indio and rolled the dice. Turns out I found the right mechanic. Jose diagnosed the problem quickly. He also pointed out the nice size dent on the bottom of my radiator! Lucky for me the radiator was fine. And even luckier, that NAPA had my fan clutch in stock. A few hours later and I was back on the road, thanks to Jose and friends at P&V. Five stars! read more

We broke down on Hwy 86 in Jan 2022. Our diesel truck was towed to P&V Diesel that day. 2 days later we were informed that we would need a new engine. The engine was ordered and it arrived in March 2022. Since then we have received very few returned calls about the truck. We have left over 20 messages but again, no return calls. We were told by Jose in April about the inability to keep the engine running so he was going to order a new pump to help get the fuel to the carburetor. Again, since June we have heard NOTHING from JOSE. DO NOT INTRUST YOUR VEHICLE TO THESE SCAMMERS. We are in the process of hiring a lawyer to help us with issue. Will keep you informed. read more

I had a breakdown in Indio with my Diesel Pusher. Tow truck left me with a disconnected drive shaft with no way to re-attach it. Jose came to my location and got the job done. Parents took their 05 duramax pickup into Jose. It has had one issue after another in getting repairs done. It's been 10 months and they still don't have their pickup. I was driving through Indio from AZ to WA State and had an engine issue on my Sprinter van- Diesel engine. I called first and they told me to come over and got right to work on identifying the problem (fuel filter). Right away they were able to get the 'hard to find' part over and started work. My family and I were traveling to the river in Parker AZ & had stopped in Indio for food when my BF noticed a leak in his truck. He & his dad assessed the issue & knew it wasn't a small problem , it needed to be fixed ASAP. He found P&V Diesel & thank God we did. They put everything on hold & spent several hours in the hot sun trying to get us back on the road as soon as possible. After fixing the first issue, they even noticed something additional that needed to be done and had the part there in 15 minutes. Jose made a promise to get all the parts for our motorhome and to call us on Tuesday the 28th to bring our motorhome in for a complete oil change and generator service. He never called us back went there at 5 o'clock tonight and he acted like he forgot he wasted my day. Waited around all day waiting for his call he just had that stupid look in his face when I went there .Would not recommend him at all!! Now I have to start over trying to find somebody!! read more

Recently had our motorhome in to this shop for an air leak which turned out to be very difficult to find. Jose spent many hours trying to find this leak, which turned out to be a hose that was almost completely hidden. Jose didn't have any of these hoses but had one manufactured for us. We were not only thrilled he found this leak, after many failed attempts by several motorhome dealers, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the total bill. Purchased a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3 with a check engine light on. Had to get it smog To change ownership. Dealership quoted thousands. Jose plugged in diagnostics computer and told me what the problem was and referred me to G and C smog in the same parking lot. They fixed the problem for a few hundred rather than thousands.
