Our family was in the market for a vehicle & we were just shopping around online. We found the one we loved on Chavez Jessup GMCs website. My husband decided to take the ride out to Indio to check out the car since it was over 100 miles away from us. (Yes, that's how much we liked the car lol) Long story very short, everyone we came in contact with was professional & respectful. They were not "pushy salesmen" like most people are used to at car dealerships. They made us feel welcomed instead of just a sale to them. Upon inspection of the car, we did notice something was broken. They acknowledged that they missed it & fixed the problem without any issues. When we got home, unfortunately there was another issue with the vehicle that we immediately brought to their attention. We had to drive back in for service on the initial broken part, so they looked at the new issue too. Everything was fixed according to the service dept. We got home & realized unfortunately the 2nd issue was not resolved. We called them & they set us up to be taken care of at a local repair center due to the distance from our house to the dealership (they did an exceptional job btw) All in all, even with a few hiccups - we couldn't be happier with their service & professionalism. Things happen & nothing is ever going to go perfectly smooth, that's life- but, wow. They made sure to make things right & went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of, communicated with us & never left us wondering. **side note - the facility was clean, the restrooms were kept up & clean, they had waters, coffee & vending machines for you while you wait. Run, don't walk away! Terrible service from these incompetent liars. A simple oil change turned in to a 4 1/2 hour lying session. After even having an early morning appointment, they still stole my time and worse. Upon receiving my very new Yukon back, I noticed a small ding and fresh scratch on my right front fender. Unfortunately it wasn't until I got back home. It was as if their incompetent technician dropped a tool or wrench during my oil change. Not only will I never purchase a vehicle from these very shady and dishonest people again, but I will tell 20 more people! Own up to your short comings! Shame on your pathetic dealer. read more

I purchased Sierra Denali for 70K, while driving down the freeway a plastic piece on the front of the hood broke. To prevent it from breaking completely off I had to tape it to the hood. The dealership has told me this piece was not covered by warranty. It's a 70K truck that had a piece of plastic break while I was driving down the freeway. At a minimum this was a defect, they should take more pride in their products and take care of their customers. They questioned everything I told them about what happened and came up with every excuse possible to try to change what actually happened so they wouldn't feel obligated to take care of it. At a minimum do not buy any of there ve, they fall apart while driving down the road. read more

Didn't purchase a vehicle but I used them for service. They've had my truck for over a month. Their lack of communication and follow through astounds me. This it has to be a direct correlation between the associates and management, Corey. In order to get any updates I have to reach out. It's been literally like pulling teeth to get anything out of them. They refuse to call you back, however they will text you back at 6:00 p.m. at night. I can only assume they're afraid to actually talk to anybody on the phone because of their lack of customer service. Each step of the process I have to check in to ensure that it's being done accurately. They even forgot I had a warranty... after having my vehicle for over a week. I will never bring my vehicle back, and I will never purchase a vehicle from them nor anyone in my family. And locally my extended family has already purchased three new vehicles from them the last 2 years. read more

I was overcharged for incomplete repairs. I went to LA Quinta Chevrolet to complete the needed repairs. I also contacted Buick customer service and received a partial refund from Buick after I complained about Chavez and their repairs and service. It seems that with recent ownership changes, the quality of their service department has gone down. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service department. I brought my Terrain in for repair on the sunscreen to the sun roof. The sunroof worked fine itself. After multiple days I received a call stating that during the repairs of the sunscreen, now the sunroof itself did not work any longer. It worked fine when I brought it in, but now it doesn't. I was told this repair would not be covered by the extended warranty due to a "dirty track". After "discussing" this with the "Director of Service" named "Eric" I was told that their work on my Terrain causing the sunroof to no longer function, I would have to pay for. I find this to be unacceptable. After my service advisor (very pleasant, good customer service) spoke to the Director multiple time, the Director felt he needed to be "fair" and I ended up paying $500 of the $1600 they were going to charge me. Although it far less than the $1600, I do not believe the error made while repairing my Terrain causing the sunroof to fail was in anyway my responsibility to pay for. I had to pay the $500 to get my Terrain. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Jessup, Chavez, and GMC Corporation. This entire encounter has fully turned my away from GMC in total. I will share this information with anyone and everyone I can, to encourage them to stay far from Chavez Jessup GMC. I'm a very disappointed and disgusted by this encounter. read more

This dealership is truly amazing! I purchased my new AT4 truck from Jose Herrera in 2021. Whenever I bring it in for service he greets me as if we are best friends. The level of respect, kindness, and professionalism is next level. However, it's not just him, it's Jorge in service, Matt in sales, or Brian and John in the management department. Everyone stops, greets me with a smile, handshake, and a brief conversation. They all know I'm just getting service on my vehicle and not buying anything but it doesn't matter. Whatever business model or edict class they attended is paying off.. Or it can be they are just great humans with a great appreciation for PEOPLE!!
