You customer is rude and obnoxious. I ordered a refrigerator and they said I needed someone to measure the doorway. I told my salesman Abu I know the measurements of the door but he said it's store policy. That's where it goes down hill. I was given a time of 10:15 to 1:15pm on 12/3/2025. At 1:32 pm I call customer service and the gentleman was rude. He said I should have known that my appointment was changed a later time and if the tech wasn't here I should have know he was delayed on a previous delivery. But no one contacted me. I would never buy an appliance from them again. Taking time off work for a 5 minute appointment is ridiculous. When the guy gets to my home he wanted me to open my gate for him. He came in to measure the doorway and I had to stop him to tell him to start measuring. After he measured the doors and my broken refrigerator he asked me if I want a refrigerator. I am puzzled because I had to buy a refrigerator and make an appointment for them to measure the doorways. So I wasn't sure why he asked if I want a refrigerator. So I get a call the next day. I was told the item wont fit though my door and they guy didnt submit the measurements. But they will still deliver. I wonder what is your Net Promoter Score. read more

My 2 cents! I after a month-plus, I have yet to use my washing machine & the TV i bought, does not work. I decided to write this review after calling a supervisor minutes ago. I told what my issue was and his reply was pretty much it's not my problem! I paid to have all installed! Washer/TV. For the washer, the seller DID NOT explain to me that i needed a certain connection under the sink. I paid for installation & had to find someone to install: $1500 down to $500! The installer was a pos! Tmi but it took 3-4 weeks after a faulty install & I don't know if it was installed correctly! PC Richards came to deliver the washer & pedestal & they had to come back because the washer pedestal was not level! Installer says it's the floor when you can clearly see it's the pedestal! TV was used one time! 1 month-plus later, i am not happy! TV & washer no use. I have to wait to fix the electrical outlet & i have to extend the water drain house which I'm forced to pay again because the machine does not fit in my kitchen. So the waiting game. During a Labor Day small sale I asked how much the discount was for first responders. The salesmen responded very defensive and said it didn't apply during Labor Day. I said how much is it on a regular day and he questioned my verification and looked mad when I showed him my ID. He continued to be hostile and passive with me while I worked with him. I understand his sales depend on commission but if he only wanted to sell during the sale there are other ways to lead your customers to that result since I actually wanted a product it wouldn't have been hard to actually work with me. Very disappointed at the customer service interaction as I was with my family. Can't forget about the sellsman leaving you every 15 minutes because he wants to make a sale with 5 other people. It's like hailing a taxi trying to get them to come back to you. Will rather go to Best Buy or even target and not deal with this. Nobody should have to negotiate a microwave with sensitive, disrespectful and disorganized workers. This business is run very rouge. Visited P.C. Richard at Bay Plaza on 9/30 because my mom needed a new refrigerator. The salesperson was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. We also asked if we can get the water and ice maker hooked up. He stated that based on the location it would be an extra $250. That is fine we paid for it. When they came to deliver the refrigerator, the delivery person tried to charge an extra $100 to hook up the water and Ice maker. When I said I paid for that already, he then said " you needed a boggle." and you didn't pay for that. I said, well let me call the store and see. They then said, Forget it we will do it for free since you paid $1700 for the refrigerator. After they left I called the store, to let them know about their service. I am still waiting for a callback. This is unacceptable. They need to do better. Customer service SUCKS! read more

I recently had a delivery for a refrigerator back on July 09,2021 and the refrigerator was dented and the fridge stopped working . I called to have the fridge replace. An order for a replacement fridge was issued .However, in the process of having my refrigerator delivered and replaced, the delivery guys damaged my cabinets and kitchen doorway in the process. Buyer Beware: if you've purchased an item from this location, make sure you check your receipt for inconsistencies and extra charges because the environment is obviously one that promotes getting the sale, by any means necessary. I'm disgusted with how the employees here are allowed to gouge prices and charge fees to otherwise, unknowing consumers. My MIL and I were shopping one Friday afternoon at Bay Plaza, in PC Richard & Son. We found what looked to be a good oven for us. The salesperson, Francisco, set up the sale and was supposed to set up delivery for 9/04/20. He tried to talk my MIL into purchasing a warranty (by showing her broken oven parts in a storage room), to which she agreed, assuming it was a 2-year $60 warranty. I never thought to check the receipts, because everything was specified during the process. Little did we know, Francisco was acting deviously. Fast forward a week later, when the oven was supposed to be delivered and still no stove. My MIL had an appointment in place for the gas line to be connected on the following Wednesday, based upon the delivery of the stove. Upon calling the store, Francisco explained that he failed to set up delivery of the stove and even worse, the stove was actually discontinued (he probably sold her the floor display). My MIL complained to the manager, Jason, who asked her to come back, in order to make it right. You would think that the manager would have taken over the sale to ensure that she was taken care of properly, but noo... Saturday, we met up with her to make sure they didn't try anything funny but by the time we got there, the transaction was completed. They were supposed to find her a better model that was in stock for the same price. What happened instead, was anything but. Luckily, hubby asked to see the receipt when walking out of the store and noticed that the "upstanding" salesman, Francisco, charged her almost $400 extra for an 8-year warranty, a tactic I'm sure he's used in the past. Hubby questioned the charge and Francisco apologized for the "oversight" and proceeded to correct the "mistake". He went over the warranty terms available and the cost of each. We chose the 2-year warranty and he completed the transaction, acting as though he added the warranty. Again, upon further inspection of the receipt, it was obvious that he didn't even add the warranty. Instead, he removed it completely. He likely realised that, he would be able to honor both a reduced purchase price of the oven as well as a warranty, for the original purchase price and instead of just being honest and bringing in a manager to assist, he again decided to be sneaky and underhanded and almost had us walking away thinking the oven had an extended warranty that he never even placed on the transaction. Note: hubby and I are both former RadioShack employees and we are well aware of the incentives that are given when you get a consumer to purchase an extended warranty. Francisco obviously operates in ways that only benefit himself, even when under scrutiny. At this point, everyone was over the BS and requested the manager come at once and take over. Enter Jason, who was visibly perturbed by what Francisco was attempting to do. It's obvious that Francisco is no stranger to taking advantage of customers and whatever sales he's bringing in, most definitely is a positive for the location as well. Apparently, he must get away with overcharging older consumers, so maybe this is the reason he is allowed to continue working in this location, with the company. I'm sure everyone is well aware of what he does to make his sales. Jason ultimately made everything right, providing my MIL with a mild discount which I think was small potatoes, compared to the level of deciept in which Francisco was trying to overcharge her. Ultimately, she received a $90 savings for all of the trouble and inconvenience, while Francisco was attempting to overcharge her $400. Had he not effed up with the delivery, we likely would never have known that she was so grossly overcharged, or even that the oven originally had an 8-year warranty. He even tried to blame his, "son being ill" as a justification for his oversight; even the supervisor didn't accept that was an adequate excuse. I don't accept it as an excuse either because, if your child being sick causes you to be dishonest and shady as a result, you are likely the one that needs to seek medical attention. His son being sick last week may have caused him some mistakes but his actions show that he was trying to make sure that he benefitted with each transaction. I hope his supervisor and the upper management take note of this review because I will be notifying everyone with whom I can reach. Please assist your parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents and other family members when they are purchasing items from stores such as this. Sometimes the employees just don't give crap and by the time you realize you've been had, it might be too late. read more

I hate to sound pessimistic from the get-go, but I really don't like stores like P.C. Richard. As much as I love shopping for things like food and clothes, there are certain things I dread buying - cars, furniture, appliances, even suits - it's something I never look forward to. I needed to buy two air conditioners for my apartment. I had a general idea of what I wanted, and after browsing for a few minutes I picked the two I wanted. The only thing I needed to do now was find someone to service me. Hmmmmm...I thought these guys works on commission, usually they're ready to strike as soon as you walk in the door. Alas, this was not the case this trip - it took about 15 to 20 minutes to get help. It was worth it though, because our associate was really great and I got a good deal. One suggestion for PCR though - they really need to update their technology. Their entire computer system (including the point of sale) is run on a DOS-based program. One of my credit cards was denied when I tried to pay, but when I called they said everything was fine on their end (coincidence?). It's 2017 - maybe it's time to upgrade to Windows 95. My visit ended positively though, one of the employees bought both ACs out to my car in a timely manner - I didn't even need to bring my car up to the storefront. Overall - meh. Maybe you enjoy shopping for stuff like this, but I don't. You can probably do worse than PCR, but the real question is can you do better? I got a good deal and besides the long wait to get serviced everything else ran pretty smoothly. So for me, that's a solid 3. read more

Worst customer service ever!!!. I ordered an air conditioner for curb side pick up. My husband goes to pick up and they tell him the person placing the order with the credit card they used needs to be present. I've bought from them on previous occasions and this has never been an issue. I look online at their policy and it says an authorized user with a credit card in their name and an ID can also pick up the order. I tell my husband to ask to speak to a manager. He then puts the manager on the phone who repeats exactly what the sales person said. I then read to him word by word what is stated on their website and he proceeds to say well it depends if it's something expensive then I won't do it. My husband shows him the email with the order details and he says no. The person has to be present. What's the point of having these policies that the customers have to adhere by if their own staff don't follow them. What if this was a gift or an elderly person putting in this order??? This is ridiculous. They don't even try to help. Never again will I purchase anything from this store. I don't have these issues in Manhatten only in the Bronx! read more

He made sure I got all the connections I needed for the best performance of my new set and talked me into a Bose sound bar, "which I always wanted but was afraid to commit" and I love the sound it fills my family room with. If i had written this review 3 days ago the rating would be 1 star. But as i am writing this now my feeling is happy to had settled a return/exchange issue with an item I bought. I recently moved and needed a lot of items due to covid19 i was left with limited options to physically go in-store to buy. Long store short i spent around $5k at PC richard. 1 of the items was a mattress that my husband and i liked when we tested it in store; we inquired about the return policy and was told we had a 90 day guarantee. Fast forward to 2 nights after delivery and i'm having serious pains in my neck and back. 4 nights of sleeping on this pillow top left me with a bruise on my leg. This was not the soft pillow top we had tried. We go in store to see about a refund as the store had no other models we liked; we are shocked to now be told its an exchange only. I asked for a manger (thank the heavens for getting me Jason Burgos) and was told that it would only be an exchange for another mattress. Jason was willing to spend time with me to address my concerns. I explained how we hadn't even taken the mattress out of the plastic and that it just wasn't a fit for us and that we had already bought a new mattress elsewhere. He allowed me to vent and didnt pay me lip service by making promises that he couldnt keep. He kept in contact and advocated for a compromise, a store credit to buy other items. 72 hours later after so much back and forth my credit has been approved. There should be more store managers like Jason. Willing to go above and beyond for a loyal long time customer. I sincerely appreciate all that he did. PC Richard should be aware that if not for his actions I had planned to return all the other merchandise and close my account. I suggest that if you have any complaints/concerns while shopping there talk to Jason, he's a straight shooter and gets 5 stars from me. read more

Let the buyer beware! Went to PC Richard to get my mom an air conditioner . Her wall unit just stopped working. Found a nice floor sample that would fit the sleeve in the wall. Being this was a floor sample we asked the sales person if he could please plug in the air conditioner so we could test it and see if it was to meet our needs we asked him this three times and he just kept saying over and over again all floor units are tested before they are put on the floor well we decided to take a chance and got it with a two-year warranty that we added to it so we took the unit home to my mom. We had to put the unit in the wall which is 6 feet high to get it into the sleeve wasn't an easy job but we get it all set up plug it in and hit the button to turn it on. Well you guessed it nothing happened right away we called PC Richard and spoke to the sales person and told him it did not work we told him we would bring it back the next morning they gave us a little bit of a hard time my husband asked if they could have it fixed in two days and he said no so we returned it special note test all floor for samples buyer beware!!!!! this is a good way to lose some good customers PC Richard to get their act together and be courteous and kind all we asked for you to do is plug it in I bet if I went back there tomorrow they put that same unit I returned on the floors to be sold shame on you pc richard read more

It was not Khalid's responsibility to resolve the issue: PC Richards is fortunate to have Khalid to compensate for ineffective service / warranty group of PC Richards. Without Khalid, PCR would have lost a customer. The reader should in no way interpret this as an endorsement for PC Richards. Extremely disappointed, I've been using Winston for over four years purchasing all my appliances including three large screen TVs, dishwashers and refrigerator. The last TV I bought in 2017 came with a one year manufacturers warranty in addition, I took the extended two-year warranty. The TV now does not work and I do not have any coverage. Evidently when you take the extended warranty the manufacturers warranty doesn't matter. You get the two-year warranty but it's not an extension to the manufactures warranty. It's total nonsense. It's a waste of money. And I will never go back to PC Richard UPDATE: after speaking to Diana S , social media manager, I am happy to report that PC Richard will extend the courtesy of providing a service call free of charge with parts and labor. Hopefully whatever is wrong with the TV will be fixed and the issue resolved. Diana S was very helpful in resolving this problem. Once again I thank you! read more

I bought a wall unit air conditioner from the baychester PC Richards. I've been shopping at PC Richards for 30 years and they were my go to for electronics. I was told by the pushy salesman that this unit was universal and would fit my sleeve. I gave him the dimensions of my sleeve and he assured me it would work. The unit gets delivered and surprise it doesn't fit. When I called the store, they tried telling me I needed to take it up with the manufacturer (fridgidaire). The air conditioner was perfectly fine, it was just the wrong size, then they put me on hold and transferred me to different people who would either drop the call or put me back on hold, sometimes for over 30 minutes. I eventually got the salesperson on the phone and he told me I had to bring the unit into the store myself to get a refund. The AC is large and weighs 90 LBs. Annoyed, I put the AC in my car, drove to the store only for them to tell me the computers are down and I'd have to come back tomorrow. I told them that was unacceptable and after being treated terribly by the staff, miraculously the computer system came back on and after standing in the rain for an hour I finally got my refund. I will never buy anything from PC Richards ever again. Avoid this location at all cost, they're the absolute worst. read more

Typical bait and switch - they promise inventory of whatever model you want, but you need to come into the store to pay and lock in a delivery date. I purchased a washer and dryer from PC Richards during a huge labor day sale in 2015. I followed some advice from a few internet sites suggesting measurements of every entry way in the home. Luckily, PC Richards has a service where they conduct this survey so the customer knows what units will fit. With that said, I ordered a survey and knew which models would fit through my doors. I ordered the LG washer and dryer. When the units came, they were 2 inches too wide and the delivery guys looked at me like I did something wrong. We ended up ripping out the door trim to get the units in. I was obviously displeased with the fact that my property was damaged even after obtaining a professional survey. However, it is important for me to mention that I contacted PC Richards HQ and, along with the management at PCR Bay Plaza, they reviewed my claim for property damage and processed a reimbursement check within two weeks of opening a case. I'm grateful for PCRs customer service and commitment to excellence. I plan to continue patronizing PC Richards for all of my appliance needs. read more

Well, I'd say those writing here must be related to BestBuy. I don't even want to go into what happened to me at BestBuy. I rather keep my joy! PC Richard is my local store and I NEVER had any of the problems written here. And I did return there a number of years ago when there was a problem with a Sony CD Walkman. I purchased a service contract and PC Richard made good. They did try to get another one as I wanted what I bought, but they did not have it and they refunded my money less the contract, which is customary. It did take a bit of time from what I remember as they tried to get the identical item and could not find it. I do remember they had me try a different model and I did not like it and they took it back with no problems. One needs to speak up when they go to a store. Ask for a manager! There are rules like in any store. IF you do not return something in the return period then it is up to any store to either take it back or not. It would be illegal to make everything a final sale. It does not even make sense. All I can say is, I've never had the issues you speak of here. The store is clean, well laid out, and when you need help you ask for it. If you do not like the person helping you, you have a choice to choose someone more to your liking or who you feel is more knowledgeable. read more

Recently purchased a refrigerator from this location and my mother purchased a A/C. The salesman was great kudos to Anthony L.and he was very helpful and honest took good care and took his time. My only complaint with P.C. Richard & Son is you must make sure that everything that you purchase and comes off that truck has to be brand new with no defects, you have to check it out before it enters your home/apt do it people, my first fridge was damaged with dents /scratches and even the delivery guys were like no way don't take it call them back and get a new one, which I did for the next day. Now so far all is good . Now my moms air conditioner was installed wrong and she was flooded with water inside her apt she put in a call to our salesman Anthony L. and my mom's A/C was repaired immediately and now it's all good. read more

I believe I was racially profiled at this "PC Richard & Son", and it was during an attempt to inquire about an "expensive" professional camcorder. I'm an African American male, and while there believe I was dressed decently. I'm in my 20's. I was inside one day, was spotted by a younger male clerk, wasn't approached, and decided to approach him. I wanted information about a "Canon" professional camcorder valued at around $5,000-$6,000, heard it was available there, and wanted to handle one, find out more about it's specifications, and advice on it's performance in comparison to others of the same quality. When I approached him I inquired about the camera, asked if it were in stock, he told me it was, became disinterested in continuing discussion of the device, and immediately tried to redirect my attention to cameras on the store floor. I stopped him, notified him of not being interested in the cameras on the showroom floor, told him the brand and model number of the camera I had in mind, he stated it's availability again, it not being on the showroom floor, and that in order for him to show/bring it to me he'd have to retrieve it from a stockroom/backroom area. I told him it would be fine for him to do, and that I wanted him to do it. I also stated that I'd wait for him to return with it in no dismay. He grumbled, refused to do it, attempted to redirect my attention to the cameras on display once more, I stopped him, and restated my disinterest in them. I also mentioned it being wise to show a customer what they've brought to a sales associates attention, as they're a customer with something specific in mind and seem to be on a mission to purchase something definitively. After that he stated the price of the camera being $5,000-$6,000, and that it'd be unusual/unrealistic/senseless for him to retrieve a camcorder of that magnitude for me. Shocked I became withdrawn/unresponsive, he chuckled, rolled his eyes, nodded his head to me presumably in self-affirmation of believing he's made a "valid" point, shrugged his shoulders while bothered and walked off. As he was walking off he stated I should notify him if I have any interest in anything more feasible. I presume he believes it's nonsensical to pull items for customers, when he has a belief of most/them not being financially capable to afford them. He didn't know me personally, so I don't know how'd he could come to a conclusion such as that except for judging someone by their appearance. I felt distraught afterwards, haven't been back since, and if my presumption is correct I don't recommend anyone go to this or any "PC Richard & Son". read more
