I got the Brand New Samsung Washer and Dryer. When I first try dryer did not turn on and washer start shaking and whole physical unit started rotating in different direction with huge vibrations. I had technician came out to fix the washer instead of that they sent technician for dryer and he left without touching dryer and run some diagnose cycle on washer and said do not use high spin and other setting (if we not suppose to use that then why Samsung gave that option). And in last said it is fine now it should work. After that I tested next day and issue remained same with washer and dryer. Had another Technician came out today fix the dryer and also try to fix the washer and he left after starting the cycle and said it should be working fine now. But after some time in middle of the cycle it again started shaking, vibrating, spinning and loud noice. I reached out to them again and have to make another appointment. During this period of time my physical unit had some dent and scratches on the body due to rotation of physical unit and wall next to it. For new appointment I always have to wait for 1 week to technician to come out. ----bottom Line: In my case their services are overmuch below average, person over the call and person at their store was rude and made fun of me (personally) because of my English and speaking skills (specially the person from the store). I do not recommend East Brunswick store and this P.C. Richard & Son ever in my life to my colleagues, friend and family and all of my known persons. They are not professionals and must say after purchase service and response are making them unprofessional. After posting this review I received their response via comment same day. And then very next day guess what? I got to know, they don't have any availability till August 23rd next week. Also I had appointment which I scheduled yesterday for August 17th. They canceled that appointment, still I don't know when did they informed me about this, upon asking what I received in returned is they hung up the phone. I mean amazing. Then I was handed me off to another employee. I asked if they had anything similar. She pointed and said "There are some over there" Basically pointing at the rest of the store. Great. ZERO STARS. ZERO. I purchased a Friedrich through the wall Air Conditioner, about 14,000 BTUs, back in 2011. I have had several of these units and they are sturdy and last a long time. One lasted for 25 years. I cleaned that one and had it serviced, old school where the unit was taken out of the sleeve and given a chemical bath to clean it, back in the 1990s. The one I bought in 2011 turned off last night and I wondered why. I unplugged it, plugged it back and and pressed reset. It would not turn on. My son worked on it today and got it running. BUT, several years ago a unit like this one caught on fire. Luckily we were home and saw the smoke. We unplugged it and the insurance company reimbursed me for it. I don't feel safe just turning this one on and letting it run. PCRichard voice ads say that they service everything they sell. THEY DO NOT. I called numerous PCRichard numbers today. I was number 137 on one call and I chose to have them call me back. The woman who called me back was working from home with children screaming in the back ground. I could not get a YES or NO answer as to whether they had a service man who would come over and look at the unit. They also claim to have two service centers and that some items are serviced in the home and some at the service centers. NOT TRUE. They refused to connect me with a service center to make an appointment with a technician who could come here and service my unit. I am willing to pay for this but they won't help connect me. When this was originally installed they told me that they frame it and finish it. NOPE. They installed a frame around it made up of beaten up wood kind of white but mostly scuffed up. I had to climb up on a ladder and sand and finish it myself. Don't buy appliances here if you expect any kind of professional service. Go elsewhere. I'm 74 and I've bough many appliances throughout the years. The last refrigerator I bought came from an appliance store in Elizabeth where you pay only half of the sales tax. They delivered it and did a very nice job. Most local HVAC places only service central air, not window or through the wall units. read more

I had heard great things about the customer service and warranties at PC Richard so when our washer died I popped in. Andre, our sales representative, was helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant and gave me all of the information I needed to confidently make a choice. I ended up picking a brand that not many stores so that was another reason PC Richard was a solid choice....or so I thought. We ordered right before the 4th of July so we did anticipate a wait for delivery. The day the washer was delivered it came to off the truck without a box, without the yellow energy star sticker on the front and marked all over with dings and scratches. I looked it over and refused the delivery. It was clearly damaged or a return they were trying to pass on to me. I later learned that the yellow energy star sticker is not to be removed by anyone other than the owner of the machine after purchase. I called the store and was validated that they had not moved any inventory of my machine from the NY warehouse to the NJ location as they said they had to, (hence our longer wait) and I was livid. Andre made sure a new machine was being transported for me and we had delivery about four days later. I am so thankful for him. The NEW new machine came in a box, wrapped and with all the appropriate stickers and labels. The wait for the machine was infuriating and cost me another $100 In laundromat services. I purchased a dryer in July 2022 along with installation and a washing machine in November 2022 along with installation. In the case of the dryer, I was charged an additional $120 by the contracted installers. I had no choice but to pay since they were in the middle of the installation and wouldn't continue unless I paid. I felt completely ripped off. I called PC Richards and complained. For my washer installation, the installers got the old machine out and then informed me I needed a valve and it would cost $250! Again, I had no choice but to pay. I called PC Richards and complained. They did split the cost with me, but the issue is the contracted installers and ripping people off. I need all-new kitchen appliances and there's no way I'd ever buy them from PC Richards because I am confident their installers will totally rip me off again. When I bought appliances in the past (from Seemore Appliances) I never had to pay over and above the installation cost I paid to the store at the point of purchase. I would recommend people stay away from PC Richards if they are seeking installation. If I could give zero stars, I would!! read more

I have rarely been more satisfied with a retail transaction than my latest experience in purchasing a Weber grill at PC Richards. The experience was enhanced by dealing with the salesperson, David Schneider. Dave proved to be knowledgeable (which in itself is rare these days) but went out of his way before during and after the sale was completed. Seeing that both my wife and I were physically challenged, he willingly suggested that he would visit us at our home after hour to help set up our grill, specifically to fill our purchased gas cylinder at a local gas station and attach it to the grill. He also volunteered to remove the old canister which I was unsure whether our township would accept. This kind of service was reminiscent of what you would get from a professional at a top mom and pop store years ago, but is sadly lacking in todays environment. Contacted the store a little over a month ago to ask some questions about a new oven. They were courteous and answered all my questions. Subsequently, I visited the store two days later and spoke with a different sales rep. We scheduled an appointment for a survey (though I was pretty sure the new 36" wolf would fit in the same spot as the 36" thermador (which stinks btw), I figured better safe than sorry. Did the survey two weeks later (my scheduling issues); it took about 5 minutes and confirmed my belief. Went back to the store to purchase the oven and was able to schedule delivery for the same week! On delivery day, there were some miscommunication issues as the delivery team didn't realize I had also paid for installation and removal of the old oven but that was quickly resolved and the installation team arrived about 10 minutes later. Another issue occurred because of a door handle on the old oven, they weren't sure they'd be able to get out the old oven without damaging some door frames. After a bit of back and forth, finally figured out how to get handle off, old oven was removed and new oven installed. I would definitely return to the store for future appliance purchases (oh btw - this was my second big purchase - bought a dryer from them in 2015/16 - can't remember - that went well too). read more

The staff kind of gave me a cold stare when I walked past them.I'm surprised that their couches were only 200 and their televisions were for 400 which made this a cool saving money experience. Shopping with this place was an awful experience from start to finish. They gave me a 3 hour delivery window which, of course, they did not make. When I called the store to find out what was going on, I spoke to a manager named Egypt who could not have been more unapologetic and rude. He made excuse after excuse and told me "sometimes people get stuck in traffic". Really? Thanks for that gem of wisdom. As was the case with my appliance, there were at least 4 or 5 other places where I could have bought from that had the exact same price. Next time I will not be choosing them. We bought our refrigerator (french door Fisher and Paykel) and it arrived with a broken display and ice maker -- which we figured out was broken an hour after the installers left. It took one month, and 2 days off work to get the parts and get a service call (they still haven't come). Their policy is to move you to the end of the cue for any reason, so first visit: 5 minutes to say we needed a part. 10 days go by to order/receive it. The second time they were supposed to come they called and said they couldn't fit us in, needed to reschedule, and could only commit to 7 days later. And no time window, just take the day off and wait-- no, hope-- for the guy to call. Again. I'm amazed they can run a business this way. My business is suffering just by buying a refrigerator from them! read more

It took over a week to get a service call response and another two weeks to have it repaired. On my way to college, I saw a sign outside of the East Brunswick store for mattresses & decided to check it out because I needed a new mattress for my apartment. When I went in there I got nothing but excellent service and the selection of mattresses were incredible & they were able to deliver within two days. I never would of thought that a store called P.C. Store personnel were helpful and I got a great price on an Electrolux water and dryer. The installers were awful. They couldn't attach the units to the pedestals. I read the instruction booklet and showed them how to do it. The gas line for the dryer did not fit the gas pipe, and I had to go back to the store to return it. Then they refused to install the washer, saying my water valves were rusted. They would return after I had a plumber make repairs. The plumber said there was nothing wrong with my valves, and he installed the washer with no leaks or other problems since. But the plumber and assistant cost me an extra $248. read more

Removal of old Dishwasher (Which I pretty much had everything ready to go) and install of New Dishwasher took maybe an hour. Ran a load of dishes last night.
