Nice home depot-good location. Received help from a few employees. They were really nice. However, the store operates very disorganized. Register employee signed my husband for the credit card but did not know any information about the discount earned for first time purchase. Was also told we needed to complete our transaction at the service center desk because we were paying for our Items but picking up later that day. Took a half hr to get our transaction processed. We hope future experiences are a little less chaotic. read more

Steer clear of an overweight, middle aged man of small stature in the Garden Department named Bill K. - After a simple request for assistance went ignored, as I walked away, Bill K. made an insulting comment. I felt compelled to challenge his rude and snide remark. Bill K.'s belligerence continued to the point of a co-employee having to intervene. Perhaps he was experiencing a bad day, but that is no excuse to treat customers poorly. I'll shop at the Lowes in East Brunswick - it's closer to my home. read more

Went to this home depot Memorial Day weekend. My first time buying an appliance here since I was told that my washer and dryer will be delivered a couple of days earlier than bestbuy. I received a confirmation on June 4 that my washer and dryer will be delivered on scheduled date of June 11 so I sold my old washer and dryer. Today June 8 got a message that my order got rescheduled to June 30. I called the 1800 number and I was told that because it was their mistake I'll be compensated $150 but if I don't agree she can speak to her supervisor I was on hold for almost an hour just to get disconnected. When I called back, the next person I spoke to was rude and even told me that deliveries are just estimates when it clearly shows in my receipt that it's not an estimate. He transferred me over to this Milltown store and I spoke to someone in the appliance department and I was told that I only have two option to cancel the order or wait for it. I told the guy to just cancel the order and I'll get it somewhere else. Never buying any appliance in this store or any Homedepot. In the email I received it did say estimate but not on my receipt. Update.. bought the same appliance in Best Buy and will get it next week. Went back to this store and I asked for a manager and the customer service lady didn't want to call the manager and keeps on saying they don't have control over delivery. If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible experience. 5 associates standing in a circle infront of the return desk and I ask them to find a Christmas item that I have the item number for. They said they would have to get the pallets down and use a machine for. I said okay isn't that how they got up there so bring them down? They say it's just not as easy as it sounds. I will never use this store again. I used them for a floor installation. They missed 12 items (floor muffler) from my order. After an hour on hold with some snotty associate who threatened to cancel my order when I asked them to prioritize the delivery (they were asking me to wait at my unfurnished office from 9am-8pm) I asked to just pick up myself in store. I was assured that all 12 would be waiting for me at customer service. Took them 40 minutes to find 9 and tell me I had to go to a DIFFERENT Home Depot for the other three. Friendly staff, smiles from the cashier, and the lines weren't long at either self- checkout or the regular registers. Had everything we needed -- my husband searched for everything online first to see what they had in stock, what aisles he had to go to, so we could save time. Once there, he was able to quickly navigate the store and find what was on his list. A couple items were sold out, but the website said to check in store as the items were not guaranteed. Some of the aisles were a little messy, things on the ground, and no one around to pick anything up/clean up. But there were a lot of workers milling around/walking around. They did appear to be assisting customers, or at the very least conversing with them. Would come back here for my future home needs. read more

I've never been a huge fan of Home Depot, or any other home improvement store. I always find these stores pricey, and dirty. Personally, I find Home Depot a very dirty store. Home Depot always makes me feel like I'm walking in a poor neighborhood, and people are littering. They do sell a great number of products for the house. Such as mailboxes, a garden center, paints lightbulbs sockets, and much more. It is a very confusing looking store, and they have way too many aisles. I wish Home Depot was a smaller store so I could find my way around. Not a huge fan! read more

Omg this store is a complete JOKE! I have several complaints 1. Cannot find associates in the aisles, when I do their response "not my department" SO tremendously helpful, how about pointing me in the direction of someone that can actually help? 2. Going to Returns: all I saw was some white haired lady yelling at people. I've been in this store multiple times and she's all I ever see. Probably might need to consider taking a vacation or going out for a smoke something to destress because lemme tell you. You stressing and yelling and taking it out on people makes them stress and then really how productive are they at the end of the day.Seriously consider that vacay I was talking about; I recommend Aruba or somewhere tropical. Then again with the pay y'all probably earn. Managment might also want to consider bumping her pay raise. 3. The plumbing department needs a serious shape up. Nothing is where it should be. On more than one occasion I've grabbed two different items on the same tiny space shelf when I'm looking for two of the same. Partially my fault I should look before I buy BUT should I really have to go hunting through thousands of tiny pieces just to find the right fitting? 4. Some of your cashiers need a serious attitude adjustment when someone tells them NO THANK YOU to being harassed multiple times for a store card. I had thought about getting one and decided against it when I learned what the APR was. Also there really aren't any benefits to it atleast not that I've seen besides getting you into massive amounts of debt. In all honesty I hate shopping at this location I've made it a point of shopping elsewhere but if I'm in a bind then I'll come to this one because it's closest to where I live. read more

I ordered a grille online and then it came assembled from home depot miltown. This grille must have been sitting outside uncovered it came with leaves and dirt everywhere....scratches, improperly assembled it was all loose and missing hardware and panels, rusty. Someone could have at the least wash it off before delivery. I called store to remedy this situation and the customer service is horrible. I can't get anyone over the phone to help. Went to this store yesterday in search of 100% vermiculite or perlite (non miracle grow). Could not find it and there was no workers to be found in the garden center. Asked the guy at the store entrance if he could possibly find someone for me. He called someone to the garden center. A man comes in yelling "who needs help in here?!" Rude. I tell him I needed to find those items and he takes me to them. Two options: huge bags or miracle grow. I ask if there might be another brand and he very rudely dismissed me, said "That's what we got, Miss" and walked off. Didn't care that I may have needed help finding something else. So. I generally like this store. The financing options are great. I just financed a floor for 0% for 24 months. I thought that was a very good deal. They have some talented old time contractors working here that can give some good advice for the everyday handy homeowner. The selection of HVAC products could be a little more diverse. Okay being that this is practically my second home I have no choice, but to update my review. If you own a home you will find yourself spending hours upon hours several days a week especially on the weekends going up and down the rows looking for items to improve your quality of life. In my case its usually lawn & garden items including home furnishings, fixtures as well of course light bulbs. Oh you lil led you. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful especially in the paint department. Now I ain't got no green thumb, but I aspire to be that guy someday. Perhaps a neighbor will knock on my door in search of home repair or improvement advice instead of the usual other way around, lol......probably not any time soon though. A home owners 2nd home away. So better to embrace it, besides it's always cool walking around looking at tools trying to figure out what the hell they're used for. read more

Today was a first time disappointment at this Home Depot. I've been a regular, faithful customer since it's opening. My home is a testament to this. After my CO2 alarm went crazy I brought it back to see if the 10 year warranty was honored by the store. There was 4 years left of a 10 year warranty. I had no receipt. I know that's a problem. But it's Home Depot. Sometimes they check your card and it's good. No luck. So I'm ok with that. The young man at the counter explained everything clearly about the issue. I understood him implicitly. When I asked him about the store not honoring the products they sell he said "I just told you. bla bla". Not once did he "Tell me" that theHome Depot was not honoring the product they sell. Yes he was on the younger side. The more mature men and women that work there are quite gifted when dealing with costumers. Absolutely knowledgeable and intelligent. This was the first time in over 20 years that I was spoken to so rudely. He never answered my question, another first. Simple yes or no would have been great. Home Depot visits seem to pick up more in the summer. This location is the only one in my area, so I go there a lot. They have everything you need and it has that great Home Depot smell. The employees are kind and there to help you. They are also very professional and experts in their individual field. People may be nervous but outdoor plants from them. However, anytime I buy an outdoor plant from other businesses, it dies 90% of the time. When I buy it from Home Depot, it thrives and lives on for many years. I would recommend Home Depot to anyone for plants, and I have purchased many. The only downfall is that the prices are through the roof for just about everything. They even have some front doors for sale that are $5,000. I would give this a higher rating but the over priced items issue needs to be fixed. Otherwise, I'm all in! read more

Ok, so I am updating my rating to 3 stars based on Home Depot's recovery. I give them credit for having an active social media team at Corporate that is monitoring social media, and for reaching out to me. In fact, the next day after I had the experience documented on my prior review, I did get a call from a staff member who informed me about the delivery date with information on how it would be coordinated. Since I was at a meeting, I was unable to have a longer conversation so I thanked her for the information and hung up. I later followed up via email to the social media team. The social media team passed it on to the Special Order manager, who took the time to call me. He indicated that if I ever had a problem, I could call him. I shared with him that I did request to speak to a manager during that first interaction and I was denied. I believe the employees need to be given the tools and empowered by management to recognize when a customer's interaction should be escalated. This is a management issue, not an employee issue. Clearly, the employee I spoke to had not been empowered. It is not her fault, so I hope she is not reprimanded for this. Put the right processes in place and the right culture in place, and the employees will do wonders. So I'm updating the rating to give them the benefit of the doubt - I hope Home Depot is able to work out the kinks in their process and ensure a better experience for future customer transactions! read more

Home Depot is another store (like the craft store) where I have many good intentions of finding something cool to do in the house. Well, unless it's Summer and I can garden my little heart out, I usually leave the store as confused as when I walked in. One time, had to get light bulbs for the oven range. Easy enough? Nope. There were all different sizes, watts and all I know of a light bulb, is that it "screws" in. Some of the choices even had little plug thingies on the end. I can never find anyone around to help when I'm on the verge of a breakdown either!!! I feel like I can never find anything I'm looking for. Again, probably just me. The guys in the paint department are really helpful however. Decided to paint a room red! Didn't work out so well! Had to go back and figure out how to fix that mess and the guy did take the time to help me out! Also, there garden section is a bit weak. Flowers and plants always look dead. I feel so bad for those little guys, that I usually end up buying a lot more than I wanted, just to save them all. read more

There is no worse Home Depot on earth. The ineptitude and surely attitudes of 90% of the people working there is just too much to bear. Forget the age of Covid-19. They were awful before, now they feel they have the right to lack any type of customer service. When last we left our hero, he was shopping for top soil. He loaded 4 bags in his cart. Thsre was a sign with a price on the left column and no price listed in the second column. One would think all the top soil was the same price unless otherwise marked differently. When our hero went to the cashier for checkout, he was charged a higher amount than the listed price. When he questioned why it was higher, the cashier asked the employee that was counting the number of customers in the store. His simple response was "What the hell do you want me to do about it?" Absolutely nothing sir. Keep your top soil and you'll never see me in ANY Home Depot again. We are all going through a tough time and your store is not essential enough for me to return to. read more

I love this Home Depot! When I moved over the summer to this area I was literally here every day. Obviously there's going to be different staff on a daily basis but every time I came, the staff was friendly and helpful. I've also done online orders and picked up here and customer service makes it really easy. Their plants/ flowers are really fresh and moderately priced. The parking lot is close to the front of the store but they don't have covered contractor parking for loading up like some Home Depot's. read more

Do not buy from here! Purchased a dishwasher and had it installed. It has not worked right from day one. After having multiple visits from some third party repair company, the dishwasher is still completely unusable. Went in to get our kitchen resurfaced through Home Depot. Never again. We were given a 4 week completion date and they didn't finish until 7 weeks later. The people they outsourced made several mistakes on our orders and still to this day, 2 months later, we keep on getting new bills saying that we didn't fully pay yet. Of course, they cover all this up with an "estimated" price up front so that they can continually justify new bills. Next time, save your money and time by going with an independent contractor. I do like the store as a whole, but do not use them for any kitchen remodeling. read more

I remembered I had a gift card at home and a coupon and figured I would come back to the store to have the receipt adjusted. Went back to the store today and all I can say is WOW. I was treated in such a disrespectful manner. This woman named Dawn (trust me I'd love to call her another name) says to me 'you expect me to return all these items on the receipt and adjust this? Well I'm not doing it' I told her lowes does it and she replied 'well that's lowes!!!'. There were only 5 items on the receipt. Home Depot disappointed me for the very last time! I was supposed to have a clothes dryer delivered and installed today. I requested that it not be delivered in the late afternoon, but of course the automated call came in last night stating my delivery time was 4-8pm...not the worst thing that happened but not happy about it. So I drive in from New York to be there on time.The installer saw my laundry room and said that I should have disconnected my washer and move it out of the way. I assumed that this would be done because they were taking my old dryer out anyway. Nowhere on instructions does it mention that the homeowner should do this. So I volunteer to do it, considering it was only to unscrew two hoses and slide it out, but the extremely rude delivery service person told me he had no time to wait for me to do this...maybe under 5 minutes? But he had time to tell me he could leave it and I should schedule a service call. I quickly opted out of that and told them not to even take it off the truck. Keep in mind that this item was prepaid. Oh, and customer service told me it takes 10 days to have my Visa credited. Lowe's is farther away from me, but I will have no problem going there for anything and everything from now on. read more

I had a terrible experience with Home Depot at Milltown, NJ. I had both washer and dryer from here and also got the installation services. The installer installed the washer and dryer on the wrong sides. Washer was installed at the right and dryer at the left, which should have been the other way round. I tried contacting home depot and I also visited the store more than 5 times to report the issue but there was no one in the appliances section. Finally I got in touch with the appliance rep. but it was over a month after the installation and now they are saying that the installer cannot go back and correct the issue its safety issue and against their policy. If I want to correct it I have to hire someone to fix this issue and pay from my pocket. read more

This is my go-to Home Depot, and is generally OK. But they really failed on the lawn mower repair, or shall I say non-repair. Bought the machine there some years ago, so figured they would know how to re-seat the cut-off switch that got caught on a branch and dislodged. Asked them to service it while I had it in (oil, air, blades). Paid their required $30 in advance for them to look it over and provide a quote. They were supposed to call within a couple of days, but didn't, so I called them after a week. Hadn't looked at it. They did call a few days later and said it needed oil and the cylinder only provided 50% expected compression and further, they couldn't start it. Said it needed engine overhaul and recommended a place to take for that. Didn't even re-seat the cut-off. I took it home, added a bit of oil, primed it, and it started right up. Pretty clear they didn't know what they were doing. Took it to the pro, who fixed it in 2 days, no engine problem, did the services, for $100. Waste of $30 and a couple weeks taking it to HD. Do not go tot his Home Depot. They mess up on huge orders, fail to take ownership / responsibility and worst - mistreat you! They are racist and biased in their dealings. Most of the employees were nice but the Management sucks. I received several broken items for my projects which delayed everything and cost me a lot more money but the final straw was when they ordered 2 pallets of incorrect tile for us, despite us telling the employee that different #'s mean different things. They then proceeded to act like we didn't know the difference between die lots and actual difference in color. The 2 that I dealt with also severely mistreated me due to my last name and obvious religious affiliation and to this day have yet to fix or rectify the situation! Please don't go here! Go out of your way to a different Home Depot if you'd like to be treated with any dignity or respect. read more
