I'm writing this review based on the delivery service we received today. We have always loved P.C. Richard & Son for our appliance needs as we've had pleasant interactions with the sales staff. If I was writing this review based on the store I would give 5 stars. But the delivery on our washer today was horrible! 1 star for delivery. We were the first delivery this morning for a 7AM-8AM window which I didn't mind because it gets it out of the way and you're not waiting around all day. They arrived promptly around 7:05 AM. I specifically bought disposable booties for the delivery men to put over their shoes. The snow has not melted for weeks and my laundry room is quite a ways into the house. I asked if they could please wear the booties to track in less dirt, slush, and salt. The delivery men insisted they would be in and out quickly and would not need them. They then proceeded to go in and out of the house over 3 times to put the new washer in and remove the old one. It took about 20 minutes. And now there is a trail of salty snowy mud in my house. I don't understand why they couldn't use the booties as I had purchased them with my own money and had plenty for them to use. read more

Formal Escalation - Customer Service Failure & Rebate Disclosure Concern To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally escalate a matter involving one of your retail locations that has left my family deeply disappointed. My spouse and I purchased over $30,000 in premium merchandise from your store, including a full suite of LG Studio appliances (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, six-burner center-island range with oven), an LG ThinQ washer and dryer, and four high-end Samsung and LG televisions -- including a 2026 LG C-Series 55" model with soundbar for our master suite. As part of this purchase, we qualified for a $1,100 LG rebate. At no point during the sales process were we clearly informed that this rebate would expire within one year if not utilized. We only learned of the expiration after attempting to redeem it. When I attempted to address this matter, the store manager, Ryan, failed to return my calls. No proactive support, clarification, or resolution was offered. For a customer making a substantial investment in your brand, the absence of follow-up and engagement is unacceptable. This issue is not solely about the rebate. It is about transparency, accountability, and customer respect. Clear communication of rebate terms is a fundamental part of ethical retail practice. Additionally, leadership responsiveness is critical when concerns are raised. As a longtime consumer -- and someone who understands brand reputation at a national level -- I believe this situation warrants review. I am requesting: 1. A formal review of the rebate disclosure practices at this location 2. A written explanation of why management failed to respond 3. Run far, far away! The sales persons are great when they want to make money. If you purchase a warranty and need to use it however, you'll start to feel like chewing on nails would be a more fun project. The customer service representatives are incompetent, replacement parts take unnecessarily long, if you end up speaking to a supervisor they will say they will call you back and won't. Absolutely horrendous experience any time I've used my warranty. It's been weeks that my dryer is broken. I've spent more having my laundry done elsewhere than I paid for the warranty. 12/2016 my dryer went to appliance heaven and the washer {top load}, well wasn't far behind. These two hard working machines came with the house we purchased, so I am guessing they had been around a long time. Suffice to say they pretty much ran everyday with our laundry requirements. So hubby does what he does best, we went online to find the best possible deal and it came down to P.C. Richard & Son. Husband purchased ( hey I am excited) Electrolux front load washer and dryer, we didn't get the extra stands because they are already the perfect height for me and well I just didn't want to spend the extra money. So ordered and scheduled for delivery in 3 days and husband went on his business trip and I thought, it was all good since he paid additional for home delivery and set up per the Installation Information on the website was to be included-- But wait- not the case exactly- although it did include haul away- and the installation information says: WASHER: * Disconnect and haul away of your existing washing machine. * Install manufacturer-supplied hot water, cold water, and drain hoses to code-compliant existing plumbing * Connect the electrical cord to your existing outlet * Level the washing machine on solid floor DRYER: * Delivery is included with this installation. * Disconnect and haul away of your existing dryer. * Installation of a new semi-rigid exhaust vent to your existing wall cap. * Connect the electrical cord to your existing outlet. * Level the dryer on solid floor. * Install a new gas flex line to existing code-compliant gas service Electric * If necessary, we will convert your existing aluminum wiring to a new code compliant electrical outlet. But not the case-- I called the store and they said NO, unless I buy "all the accessories", Should have bought the dang stands I guess huh?! AND evidently "I didn't look at the correct information on the website" WELL that blows. Especially since I had no washer and dryer now for 5 days because hubby was still out of town and I don't mess with gas lines. He had to come home buy new gas flex, dryer vent, braided hot/cold drain hoses, U vent because where the dryer was to the left and washer to the right, we had to switch, due to the doors on the new machines not being able to be switched - although the website clearly says it can- delivery guy said no. Sigh, so another $200.00+ later on parts needed, (hubby was pretty ticked at this point) but he got them running. So I looked all over the site, I am not sure what we missed, but no one at customer service really explained to me, in fact it was a quick- "no that's not included you didn't pay for that- have a nice day". What??? Anyway- what I did find was the delivery guy was super nice at least he took the time to go over the basic stuff how to hook up the appliances, what I would need to get, how to clean etc.. I appreciated this since I have never had new washer or dryer or front loading at that!!.. YES! he was super nice and understood my frustration. My Sub Zero Fridge is pretty old, So would I go back to PCRS-- not sure, maybe, gotta think about it. read more

This is a tough one. The people that work here are great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are decent and they have good sales. The problem is that appliances are made like crap. I'm on my 3rd dishwasher in 4 years, two purchased here. Bought pretty expensive washer and dryer here. Junk. I'm so sick of buying appliances every couple of years. I suppose that's not PC Richards fault. The nonappliance stuff I've bought here has held up well. And, as I said, great staff and competitive prices. read more

I went to P.C. Richards in Manalapan and was extremely happy with the expertise help I received from Ryan. I needed a refrigerator, gave him some measurements and he listened to what I was NOT looking for. James later accompanied the sale and between both of them it was a miracle to get out of there under 20 minutes. When the delivery comes next week I will rate the installers and will say another prayer for the same service I received from the two men who completed the sale. Highly recommended! read more

Will NEVER make another purchase from this store again. I bought a refrigerator/freezer with a warranty. When there was an issue with the unit and the refrigerator stopped working, they told us we needed a new fridge. Except, they wouldn't make an even exchange and just give us a new unit. Nope. They made us pay the difference between what we paid then and what it retailed for now. So... $700 later, what was the point of the warranty? Three years later, we have a similar issue. Ice maker broke. They kept sending the same repairman who didn't know how to fix it and kept ordering new parts and spent the entire time on the phone with LG. Well, after four visits (and six weeks), he said we needed a new door that would take six weeks. Except this last time, both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working and we woke up to spoiled food. And guess what? Had to shell out another $700 for a new refrigerator because they wouldn't just give us a new one of the same model. If we weren't already nearly $5500 into two refrigerators in FIVE years, we would have walked out. Terrible service. Even worse repairmen. And they do NOT stand behind their products, even when the damage is the fault of their employees. Do. Not. Buy. read more

We had such a great buying experience. We met Bryan K who helped us out through our entire process. We bought all new appliances for the kitchen (fridge, oven/range, dishwasher and microwave) but we're fitting them into our existing space. We discussed options and they suggested having a survey done - which was so helpful. Then they receive the information in store where we then were able to go thru everything to make sure what we wanted would fit perfectly as it should. Bryan K and his manger Ryan were fantastic about getting us the right price, beating other stores like Home Depot and giving us the service we needed for a big purchase such as this. I am writing this review since PC Richard and Son knocked it out of the park three times. First, I purchased a 65" TV and Sonos sound system and the sales associate was professional, knowledgeable, and the experience was outstanding. Next, I shared how awesome my experience was with my boss and she ordered a stove, and it was as painless as painless could be. Thank heavens! And, third, my mother researched a dishwasher model for a rental property online and comparison shopped. The store that had the lowest price was unable to deliver the dishwasher for 4 weeks. PC Richard's was just $2 more and able to deliver within 2 days. On top of that, the sales associate offered an $85 rebate towards installation which was received 2 weeks after. Went here to check out some new kitchen appliances. Was my first time at this location, and I was not disappointed. The salesman was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure we were aware of all the current sales going on and did not once try to upsell us on anything. He really made sure we were getting the most for our money and worked within our budget. We haven't yet made our final decision on what we're buying, but will very likely be coming back to this PC Richard very soon for the items we looked at tonight. Edit: I went back the next day and bought the appliances my husband and I picked out the day before. We shopped around, but with the sales and rebates, this was definitely the best deal. I will never step foot in another PC Richards again. The installation manager was rude, refund was sent for poor installation on dishwasher, however did not recognize issues with installation problems on all the other appliances. Manufacturer is sending the missing part from dishwasher directly to me . The PC. Richards installer tried covering up the fact piece was missing, mgr would not or could not admit to poor job done by his crew. Hey you want my advice? Go to an appliance store that knows how to treat customers not some high volume discount store that accepts zero responsibility for issues caused by poorly trained technicians. Let's not even get started on the ongoing situation on my refrigerator I have lost count of how many times they have been out to "fix" it. Best shopping experiance ever. A great team to help furnish my new home with my appliances and electronics. Nick, our salesman was great. Went well beyond expectations to make sure we were satisfied. He stayed in constant communication with status of order and when we had a small problem with an item, he personally picked it up and had a new one delivered within days. I have to say this was the best electronic buyig experience I've ever had. I can't speak for every department in the store, but I was looking for a new tv and dealt with Alex. I did my research in models and prices and basically knew what i wanted and what i could get it for. I brought my buddy with me who as been an audio/video fanatic since I've known him. He also happens to do it for a living. We talked for a while and within a few minute we knew that Alex really did know his shit!! That's a rare thing in the world of audio/video. Any way, I told him what I could get the set for and he spoke to his manager. Came back right away and said "OK" I didn't have to argue. Didn't have to listen to any bullshit stories. Just a straight up negotiation and sale. I was so happy with the way things went, I went ahead and bought a few extras I needed to go with the tv. On the day I picked it up, I met the manager Goodman. Very nice guy and seems easy to deal with. I am now in need of a new 3D blue ray player, and as soon as I get the chance, I will going back to this PC Richards to get it !! A very well run store with a good selection of products. Like most of the majors, they will beat or match other prices if they can. I even ended up getting the warranty, which is something I almost never do. The price usually doesn't justify it, but their warranty was very reasonable. I can't speak for all of the items they carry, but if you are looking for anything video, ask for Alex. Been buying over last year several years TV's, Appliances, gas Grill, and stereo equipment. Pricing was always lowest compared to any other store including Best Buy. I am very impressed with sales associate Jeff, who has taken care of my needs this year. He was not only so accommodating and patient with me, but very knowledgable about the products and specifications. I recommended my son to also work with him for a TV and a dishwasher and Jeff took great care of him, even though he lived in New York. Also great service department! Had an issue with our washer recently under extended 5 year warranty. No hassle - they scheduled their service technician to my house very timely without any disruption to our use. I am a customer for 23 years . I never had single problem with customer service. We bought a Stony TV in July 2016 and the tv went dead in June 2017 after 11 months then they send the service and fixed it !! Bored was gone then in January 2018 same thing happened a gain !! Same problem I requested exchange since the service mane said there are so many problems with this model!! Then after long conversation with the service manager then he said NO. Made an appointment for a "survey" at the MANALAPAN NJ location to measure for new appliances in my new house. Two appliances were completely broken, so time was important. I called and set it up on a Tuesday....Monica tells me they will be out on Thursday and call to confirm. No phone call....and no one ever showed up. So, I call and some other employee answers the phone and says Monica just input the order, charged my card and then never entered a description of the services or put it on their schedule. The employee did not blink twice when I told her they put me in a bad way by wasting a week of time AND now lost about $12,000.00 in sales. Anyway, she gladly said she would enter a refund and no one ever called to follow up, apologize, nothing. Here I am THREE WEEKS LATER and they still have not bothered to call or issue a refund. I called yesterday and was told Monica was the only one who could talk to me since she entered the initial order, and that she "is busy and is going to be for a while but she will call you back." Still waiting on that call back and a refund. In other news, Better Living Appliances in Jamesburg showed up on time, did fantastic work and most importantly provided CUSTOMER SERVICE. Best $12,000 I could have spent and glad it went to a Mom and Pop shop instead of PC Richard, who could not care less and think its okay to steal money I guess? My wife and I went to several competitors and priced out a refrigerator and a washer and dryer. I had never shopped at PC Richards before, but a friend recommended them so I figured "why not." As we wandered around, a salesperson named Rorie came over and asked if we needed help. She showed us several options and was incredibly friendly, fun to deal with, and knowledgeable. The prices were BETTER than what I had expected and we sat down and ordered everything immediately. Rorie is a very rare type of salesperson that has your best interest in mind and treats you as though you are part of her family. No high pressure, no stress, just a real pleasure to deal with. PC Richards installers were here to hookup a washer and dryer. while here they stated I had a water shut off valve leak so I needed to get it fixed or for extra $$$ they could do it.... That left a really bad impression with me so I reschedule delivery. The following week I called repairman to come in the morning to fix the shut off valve. He told me there was nothing wrong with the valve. There must have been residual water when they disconnected the line. I had already rescheduled delivery for later that day with P C Richards for the second delivery. When they showed up in the afternoon within minutes of entering my home they refused to install the gas dryer stating I had propane gas. They were wrong AGAIN. I have natural gas. I called the repair man back immediately and he showed up to connect my gas dryer. My family was without washer/ dryer for several weeks because of misinformation from PC Richards. So PC Richards cost me a couple hundred dollars more because of their inept workers and I will never purchase anything from them again! I DO NOT TRUST THEM! read more

I've never felt sooo fucking discriminated in my life we first dealt with a tall white man who asked if we needed help then as we asked questions he past us on to a man named Andrew before getting to us both looked frustrated and unmotivated to help us we we're given attitudes when asked about the TV (we asked questions cause it was a display tv) and we also got answered with an attitude if you look like you have no money in this place be prepared to be treated like crap. The customer service and treatment we get, especially from our sales person Mike Lozado has been truly exceptional. We have had issues sometimes after delivery, but the way Mike helped us in resolving them, is what keeps us coming back to him and PC Richards. Being in retail myself, I know a good company when I see one. The great after sales support when you need it is what makes the difference. Jeff showed us several units and went over in detail the differences between each model. Thus we went with the Samsung. Jeff did an outstanding job from helping with picking the unit to ensuring a timely manner for delivery and installation. We will be back to see Jeff for future needs. Bought a tablet for my son, a Nexus 7, the price was no different than the price of any other store, since the tablet is just about 230$ I wouldn't expect to save anything, but I preferred PC Richards. The "Replacement" Plan was 69$, mind this is about a 230$ tablet, so I walk out happy and satisfied after 300 $ spent on a tablet. Well, every single other store (even amazon's replacement plan for about 30$) provides drop and spill damage, this one doesn't, but nobody ever cared to make sure to mention it, and of course you wouldn't spend half hour in a store reading all the fine prints of the "Replacement" plan, so I spent 300$ on a tablet with an extra year of warranty, nothing more. Well, the day comes after a little over a year that the tablet's screen cracks (it's probably the only thing it will ever brake on a tablet) and guess what, I got there, and a very rude lady with a very annoyed attitude informs me that they can't do anything. Well, I have to buy a new one now, but you can put your hands on the fire, it won't be at PC Richards. You want peace of mind, choose another chain to buy your electronics, in the past Best Buy replaced a piece of equipment on the spot, no questions asked. UPDATE - 9/28/2014 You all will be glad to know that I received absolutely NO ANSWER from PC Richards. Not even a reply to my email to tell me "sorry you should have read the fine prints". If you have to buy equipment that can easily break STAY AWAY from PC Richards. Their protection plan is a joke. read more

I recently purchased a washer/dryer here. First let me say that the prices were the best I found. However, when it came to customer service, to say I was disappointed/frustrated is an understatement. I had asked before purchasing if the dryer door could be reversed for space reasons. I was told that it was equipped to be reversed but there would be a $25 charge. The delivery people were trained and would do it at the time of delivery. That was a lie. The combo was delivered, and after an hour of trying to reverse the door the guy said he couldn't do it so he left it the way it came, which does not work in my laundry room. Called the store manager who sent a tech a few days later. He would have been able to change it had the first guy not stripped the screws. Instead of ordering new parts they offered to exchange for a new dryer. Well, the new one came a week later delivered by the first delivery guy, with the door still on the wrong side. When my husband called the store manager to complain that not only was it wrong, the delivery guy was learning how to switch the door from a youtube video. The manager hung up on my husband. After more than 2 1/2 hours the guy was successful in switching the door. The recording (while you wait to speak to someone) touts the expertise of all their people. Hah! I will NEVER shop at PC Richards again...not because of the appliances or the prices, but because of their abhorrent customer service, rudeness and lack of expertise. read more
