For years we have purchased appliances. Most recently a Fisher Paykel built in refrigerator. We experienced a loud buzzing noise. They sent a repairman who cleaned the compressor and charged over $350. Shortly after I noticed interior screws were coming out of the door. I called and they said within a week someone will be over to repair it. That did not happen. I called again and they scheduled the service. I asked to be the last stop. Around 4pm they called to cancel. This is when I thought they were on their way. He tried to say it would be too late for me. I told him I was fine with them coming at 7. He put me on hold forever. Said there would be a charge. When I argued that it was not my fault. He hung up on me. These are the rudest most unprofessional people in the "service" dept. Disrespectful and arrogant. I have to say, even though I've had to call for issues with the appliances I purchased from Eatontown TV, they've always come out promptly and fixed everything that was wrong. They are crooks and liars. Buyer beware!!!!!!!. I paid them over $2,000 to fix my high-end bbq. Let's forget the fact that they lied about the cause of the fire. He put my entire family in danger. His response to this was this was my fault because we cleaned the grills. We took the entire bbq apart and loosed a burner? Right, because that is what someone does who just paid thousands to fix it. The owner said. it's going to cost over $5,000 to repair and that was "IF" he could even fix it. I kid you not.. He tried to upsell me to just replace it with a new bbq at $12,000. They did not repair it correctly nor were they qualified to repair my bbq. I ended up fixing the bbq a year later for $425 not $5,000 like he said it would cost to repair. The cause of the issue? They did not tighten one of the burners correctly causing a gas leak which we are lucky didn't blow up me or my home with 5 children in it. Please trust me. Do not buy or deal with them. read more

Ordering, delivery time and installation all went very smooth which was a relief when making a large purchase. Installation guys were very careful with my new appliances and my home. Being my condo is brand new the installation did take some extra work especially with the dishwasher but, the installation guy was very professional and did a great clean job! I wish I could've purchased my washer and dryer from them. Unfortunately, what I wanted was on back order and so I had to purchase elsewhere. What a nightmare that process was! dont use this company I was an employee of Eatontown TV/Eatontown TV and Appliance/Eatontown TV & Appliance for about a year. In that time I had learned alot about how not to run a company... how such a once successful company can be destroyed when placed in the wrong hands the owner of the company is manipulating manufacturers to get paid for warranty calls (and parts) when no warranty work was preformed (or parts replaced). During my employment with Eatontown TV, I was instructed to do exactly that. for example, like on many occasions, if I'm able to remove an obstruction from a drain pump, allowing it to operate again I was instructed by the owner to write on my invoice that the pump was bad then, by documents submitted by Eatontown TV, the MANUFACTURER is forced to pay.... for my labor, and for the new pump ( which is put on a shelf to be resold ) warranties are only valid by the business who issues it so... "Eatontown TV" can close today "Eatontown TV & Appliance" can open tomorrow clean slate this company is not what it once was stay away I hope my feedback helps put this man out of business read more

Ask yourself if it is worth paying over $700 for a TV that is cheaper elsewhere. I paid $450.00 for the installation of a TV (literally hundreds more than another quote). Pretax I paid $947.00 for a TV priced in 3 different stores for only $500. The total bill with installation was $1589.55 for a $500 T.V. And if this overpayment is not bad enough, I had a small problem when the T.V. started talking to me whenever I made any changes; it needed an adjustment. I called the store twice and spoke to two different men. The first stated that someone would get back to me. Two days later no one called, so I called again and was told by the second person that this required a house call because it was a "technical" issue. When I asked if someone could just tell me which adjustment to make over the phone I was told that someone would have to be out there for a house call. So three days later no one from the store called. I called a friend who, over the phone, talked me through adjusting the TV in 10 minutes. Yes, over the phone! The store employee that sells TVs for a living told me that this could not be done on the phone because it was too technical. So I paid over $500 more for a TV with an alleged guarantee of service for one year that they refuse to provide just 3 months after I got the T.V. This store is overpriced and fails to provide services according to their alleged warranty. There is no way to justify this. And I didn't know which TV they would provide until the installer arrived because they needed to ensure the TV fit the area properly (so I didn't have time to price this TV elsewhere). Buyer beware is my only comment. I would rather have donated that much money to charity. Over a $600 loss for me had I gone to buy this anywhere else. read more

I don't know about repairs/service calls, but I can tell you that they are excellent for purchasing appliances. My kitchen is such that. have to have a very specific, and very limited size fridge. I called Eatontown and spoke with Tom about a Blomberg fridge. He said they have two in stock, and he'd put one aside for me. He quoted me $500 less than anywhere else I called. The fridge is very tall, and the delivery people came and checked our elevator and entry way to ensure the fridge would be able to get into our home. Delivery would have been free -- but again, the fridge JUST fit into our elevator, and through our doorway, so we had to have more people than normal deliver the fridge. 4 men came and delivered the fridge, they were all very nice, pleasant, and courteous. It was a difficult delivery, and they remained patient -- and careful -- as they worked to get the fridge in place. I would definitely purchase from Eatontown again! Nothing like dealing with a local company. read more

Purchased my applicances at Eatontown TV. Wild oven, sub 0 fridge . The oven went out xmas. Has them come in for service/repair. Sadly the repair man performed a series of test to the oven. Told me the control panel was not working. The guts of the oven. The fee was 2200. This oven is 6 years old. I had another company come in for a second opinion. Had service done on my Speed-queen Washer, The People answering the phone were super helpful. Tec Came out fixed the problem, and explained everything that he did to the unit in depth. Also gave me tips on how to clean and take care of this unit and my other appliances. Very Happy with the whole situation so I bought a Weber BBQ from them, and Delivery was fantastic! We bought all LG kitchen appliances from here 3 years ago. The water in the refrigerator stopped working so we paid for a technician to come out. At first he said it was the filter but after a while he said a valve needed to be replaced which had to be ordered. We ordered it and replaced it but the water still didn't work. Eatontown TV wanted to charge another service fee for the same technician to come out and re-diagnose the problem again. We will call another company for a new diagnosis. read more

I coordinated the replacement of two air conditioning sleeves for my mom. I worked with Tom. All was well until I saw the charges on the credit card, which was two hundred dollars more than the cost we discussed (even factoring in tax). When I called to discuss the discrepancy, I was told that I wrote down the installation fee incorrectly. I most definitely wrote down every word he said very clearly before agreeing to the project. Totally my fault for not requesting a written confirmation. Tom's reply when I questioned his costs: "I don't make mistakes. I'm very thorough." Well he is an exception among humans to never make a mistake. He charged me an additional $200 and stands behind his error with a lie of being perfect. I went into the store to look for additional appliances when I asked the repair guy why my Freezer may not be as cold as it was a month ago. He said to try turning it off and On again before calling for service. He told me that it was $125 charge to come out and it would go towards any part or labor. NOT THE TRUTH I called to make an appointment the service guy came out. Wearing a mask which is Great during this time. I tried asking a few questions but with the mask on I really could not understand. He did say the freezer was fine it needed to defrost someone may have left the door open and because of this the top was not cooling well enough. GREAT ! Small job nothing wrong. EXCEPT FOR THE $435 bill . When I saw the bill I questioned the technician again and he told me this is what his Boss Jimmy says the bill is and that he told me. Is that what he was saying.? really under a mask why would I think no parts the bill for looking at my freezer and defrosting it would cost this amount . I obviously didn't understand him. Don't get me wrong the technician just came to do his Job. But because he had to call up JIMMY to ask how much to charge. This is not his fault but that jimmy needs to feed his horse racing habit. I needed to pay $400 to defrost my freezer. I called the store again in front of the technician asked the repair guy how much to look at my freezer. His comment was $125 with Labor if u need a part it will be more if not part only $125. So I said then why Am II paying $345.00. He told me to hold. Which I waited for ten minutes until I hung up and called again this time asking for Jimmy He immediately was loud and almost yelling at me telling me his technician was there almost all day. (He was there for 2 hours). Yes but why? to build up the charge of another $198 to defrost my freezer. I hung up the phone when JIMMY continued to yell at me. BEWARE when buying from this store and getting repairs from this store. I know owners are hurting because sales are down. but ripping off people to make up for lost sales. I called back to ask questions with no response. Looked around, was going to change but someone said to me give it another shot. No one ever calls you back. No one is pro-active in the sale. My dryer won't heat properly. I bought a "non-returnable" part for it from Eatontown TV on Route 35, that I was assured would fit. It DIDN'T. Never shopping for anything there EVER again. The parts man was sexist (I asked a question, and he turned to my fiance and answered it) and refused to deal with me, and was just interested in selling me an overpriced refurbished dryer. I have been a customer for over 25 years and absolutely no issues. I purchased my house new and was given advise on what appliances to buy. Most of those appliances were changed because I wanted to update the look but they were still working fine when they were replaced. Very little service was needed but, their service department responded a few times and I was completely satisfied. I have recommended them to my friends for years and everyone is happy. You may find cheaper prices in the big box stores but you will not get the same quality, knowledge or service like you get from Eatontown TV. read more

Definitely the place to go if you want to get stuck with bloated repair bills and pay for over-priced parts for stuff you've bought there. Making money on retail sales isn't enough, Eatontown TV needs to profit multiple times. They represent their repair estimates as "discounted" but I did some research and eventually plainly demonstrated to them that not only was I paying for their repair Tech. (actually a good guy) but they were more than doubling the cost of the parts for my LG Refrig. Jimmy (owner) finally returned one of my calls (claims he never got prior messages) and while he wanted it known that he has a right to make a profit on his repairs he promised to look into my matter and get back to me. Of course he never did. Having a house full of appliances we had bought counts for little, they still misrepresent their repair bills and take you for a fool. I have given them more than enough of my money AND more than enough time for them to get back to me to come to some aggreement. Now as I visit here, Pissed Consumer.com, Complaints Board.com, Complaints.com, etc. they'll learn a little about Google's algorithm and how it accentuates negative reviews in it's search results. I waited all day Friday for Eatontown TV service tech to "call me 2 stops in advance." It was supposed to be a morning appt!! The office guy finally called at 4:45pm & said "he's on his way." When I asked what time he'd be there the office guy changed it to "oh, he's in the driveway now!" I had gotten out of the shower to answer the phone!! Since he lied & was 5 hours late I told him to call me back to reschedule the appt. Naturally, I never heard back!! So, I called Better Housekeeping today. I've dealt with them many times before for myself & other clients & know they're honest & very reliable. I have appt for next Monday - and I'm sure they'll show up on time! read more

Horrible place, I purchased several electric stoves, fridges, a commercial washing machine and dryer for my apartments over the past few years. The washer and dryer cost $3800. Up front and were on order for about 2 months. Then they sat in my basement waiting for over 4 months for their technician to set the coin slots. They gave me such a run around. Tom the owner said why don't you look it up on YouTube and you can set the coin slot. I then looked it up, but the dryer comes up a different dryer, I then typed in the model number the same thing. I said to Tom, no I paid for the machine you take care of it. I think he had some nerve telling me to set it up. I then called Tom and plus, your delivery people never gave me the key to open the front of the machine. There is an additional key with a different lock cylinder, but it doesn't fit the front of the machine. I don't understand what this is for. Tom didn't know either. He then said we must charge you to come out. I said I don't care charge me. Tom said the technician will call me. I waited 2 weeks nothing. I called Tom again. Okay I will have him call you. 2 more weeks nothing. I called Tom again. Where are they? Now Tom tells me they need to get the key from the factory. I said you waited all this time to tell me this you need a key from the factory, this should have been ordered over 2 months ago when I bought the machines, how long will this take. Tom said a week or so. Over an addition month went by and the tenants were getting anxious to use the machines. 5 weeks went by I called and really complained. Then 1 more week I called and complained again. I also said you were fast enough to take my money but when something happens you don't take care of it. Finally, a technician came out and set the slots. I also said the oven I purchased for my mother you yelled at my mother saying don't yell at me like you yell at your son. Where did you Tom get this from? Tom said she was yelling at him. I don't believe him; my mother has been asking him for a manual for the oven for over 6 weeks. Come on where is it? Tom hung up the phone on me. I called back he refused to talk with me then I was transferred to Joe. Joe said as soon as he picked up the phone -- don't be intimidating me and yelling at me you are the type that's likes to complain about everything. I know who you are. You yelled at me when I came over. I said are you the guy that was walking all over the property. He said yes. I said you had no business walking 100 feet away from the house down by the garage. So, I called to you to come up to the house. I then got in an argument with loudmouth Joe. You have no business walking all over my property the machines go in the basement not the garage. This was so strange; I was like what is he doing down there? I had to re explain everything to Joe because Tom was too lazy to. On the delivery on the machines, they did not have the proper socket sets to remove the lag bolts the machines were bolted to the crates. I explained to them the size they needed. Joe was standing around waiting for the other guy to tell him what to do. He was like a grunt worker not knowing anything at all. He just investigated space and wondered around with his hands in his pockets. They said we normally don't do this type of work. I said Tom sold me the machines, what are you talking about? I also told Joe all the appliances I purchased from them, and this is how you treat a customer. What do you expect of course I am aggravated? Joe said we will call you on Monday. I also said to Tom regarding the warranty since the machines were sitting you need to extend the warranty for 4 months. He said he can't. This Tom makes promises and they go south quick. Do not buy anything no matter what Joe or Tom tells you. Shop around. He over charges then puts his money into horses for betting at the racetrack. 1 star is to good for this place. read more

End of March, we called another shop for repair of a U-Line Ice maker. The owner was not cordial and after charging me $135 for the service call on 4/8, said the ice maker needed a new ice making unit and the overall cost would be about $250 to $280 additional. He said he'd send me an estimate. I have never heard back from him as of 5/5/16. So on 5/3 we called Eatontown TV and they fixed the unit yesterday w/o replacing the ice making unit. He simply adjusted the spring tension on the arm that shuts off the making of more ice. The charge was $107. The service was the day after I called them. Paul, the technician is very personable and explained what he did thoroughly. read more
