the salesman was very nice and explained the washing machine fully and clearly. However, the machine doesn't drain well and I have to use extra spin cycle for every load just to get a regular spin of the clothes. the repair guy has been out to our house several times to take a look and verified that it does use more spin time and blamed it on the soap saying 'you can't use soap powder' and he recommended pods so i bought pods and had the same problem. I don't think i should have to keep using so much electricity for the added spin for my laundry especially the price of everything including the machine itself was 650. I have called the manager and get nothing except and appointment with the repair guy just to come out and say it's my fault somehow when this is a machine and it should not be that sensitive to laundry powder. i also confirmed this info with my brother and few other guys and it's not right to sell me a machine that doesn't work properly. read more

After my first appliance order did not show up, (internet order) I called the store in Milford. I spoke to the manager named Dan. I have bought many appliances from this store. (I manage properties) Dan said he would place the order for me and set delivery for the next day. Mind you, my tenant already took off one day of work. A confirmed text was sent from PC Richards with a delivery window of 7:00am - 10:30am. 8:45am a person from PC Richards called to confirm delivery this am and the address. Guess what DID NOT happen!!! CORRECT no delivery!! I called the number that called me- the gentleman I spoke to basically stated that I was still 4 stops away and he saw a different time window. Not sure why when I have it in text. And nothing he can do- what did I want from him. I got a ton of pushback when I asked to speak to a supervisor. Eventually I was put on the phone with Dan the store manager that I placed the order with. Shockingly, I had the same attitude from him. Not his problem appliance was out for delivery and if I don't like it, I can cancel the order. At the end of the day, I was not looking for anything. I called to see what was going on with the delivery. A simple apology that this issue had taken so many sideway turns would have been great. Instead, I was met with an "oh well" attitude. I have to agree with Julio G (review Feb 21, 2025) that their customer service is not good and they definitely do not value their loyal customers. We don't shop anywhere but P.C. Richard for appliances, TVs, etc. The store offers plenty of brands and options with good pricing. We are always well taken care of by Justin M to assist with what we need, and he has done so for many years. Bill S, the Manager, runs a good store with a really pleasant atmosphere. I went into the store in February as a returning customer that had a good experience in June the prior year. I should've ended there. I knew exactly what make and model of washer and dryer that I wanted/needed for my space, I told the salesman, and he somehow ordered the wrong dryer. This was not discovered until it was being delivered at my house. It was also not discovered until they had half torn out the other set. Those two delivery men were kind and told me what was going on and how they would fix it. This still involved me having to call the store. I called the store and the salesman ordered the correct dryer. He did not really express anything toward me for ordering the wrong dryer and inconveniencing me. The next week comes and there are two different delivery guys delivering my washer and dryer. It was raining out, which I know is not their fault, but they tracked mud water throughout my entire house and didn't even try to wipe their feet on my numerous mats. They took out the old washer/dryer and the closet where the new set was being put is caked in mud. They did not allow me to come and clean the area (or even tell me that they made a huge mess) before they put the new set in, so now I have a laundry closet that I cannot access to clean that is caked in mud. On the cake was that they damaged so many things taking the old set out of my house. They broke a door, scraped and gouge my brand new wooden stairs that were just refinished a month prior, scratched my brand new flooring, took chunks out of the Sheetrock of corners of my walls, and scratched the walls and my stair railing. Only one of them spoke English, and he tried to claim he didn't cause the damages and when I called him out, he tried to downplay the whole situation. I had to be the one to call PC Richard. I was given a email address and told to send photos to it. I sent over 30 photos to this email address. I didn't hear anything from anyone for several weeks, I called them again and I was referred to a claims department. I called them and left a voicemail, I called them again and spoke to someone that sounded like a drugged out 20-year-old who didn't give a crap about anything, and he told me I had to wait and that someone was looking into it. He could not give me their contact information. I continued to call and complain. I finally received a call from the contractor that does their delivery. This woman also sounded half drugged out and there were children yelling in the background. She told me that she had tried calling me several times, I have zero calls from her, and I've never received a call from her or from her company. She told me I had to send her photos of all the damages. I said I've already done that months ago. At this point, she said they don't have them. I said this is getting ridiculous, and you can go find the photos, I'm not going to be the one to put all the effort into all of this when my house was the one that was damaged. I call her again several times, and had to leave voicemails. I finally received a call back and she told me they would be offering me $250 to cover the damages. I was perturbed. They caused way more than $250 of damage to my house. She told me to send the photos again. I sent her the photos. It is now May and I finally received a call back from her last week that she sent my information to the claims department, and they claimed they can't provide me with more than $250. I feel this is 100% alive, as I work in insurance claims. This is not how all of this works. I finally just agreed to the $250 so that I can put this nightmare behind me, it's going to cost me a lot of money to fix my house that I had recently just completely redone. I am very pissed off at both PC Richard and at the delivery service they contract with. None of these people are professionals. Save yourself the time, the money, and the damages. I bought a refrigerator from P.C. Richards in Milford about 3 weeks ago and to be honest I really wished I read these reviews before I even walked into this store. You better believe next time I will do my homework and stay away from this store. I bought a GE refrigerator and about a week later I notice my refrigerator was freezing my food and I had the setting on 3 which is the recommended setting. Then I noticed the fridge is very noisy and I can hear water sometimes dripping from the refrigerator. I contacted the store and asked them if I could get a different refrigerator because I am not happy with my purchase. I was told if I could bring the refrigerator back to the store then I could possibly get a different one. Hey I am in my 80's how in the heck can I get a fridge back to the store. I had P.C. Richards deliver this item and the delivery guy took paint off my door, scratched up my place and seem to care less about it. These guys even expected a tip for scratching up my place why in the world would I tip anyone for that. I feel the store should let me come in pick out another fridge and when they bring the new one take this crap I bought. The worst buying experience ever. Our refrigerator stopped working on 6/18/2024 and after shopping around we decided to go with this company even though the cost was $200 over Home Depot and Lowes. Wanted to give a small company our business. We were guaranteed a delivery date of the GE refrigerator model GNE25JYKFS for 6/22/2024. When we called on 6/21/2024 to check on the delivery window, the sales lady said our order was not scheduled for anytime soon. After escalating to her manager who was of absolutely no help and had no management or customer skills, we figured out this company was just out for our money. Very disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for a long time. My last 2 experiences were horrible. I called them to have my dryer fixed and after they "fixed "it they obviously didn't check it because the first time I used it the noise was worse and louder and called the store and got the run around and ended up calling customer service and had to make another appointment and have to take another day off from work. Then I bought a new stove and they basically brought the stove in plugged it in took all the plastic off except one panel that was dented and the stove is obviously tilted one way because they didn't level it. so now I have to pull it out and fix it myself. Where do I start. So many problems here in recent years. First a Premier store that was sold to me without insulation or a thermometer so the oven would not stop heating up. If you touched the exterior you would be burned. Even after the thermometer was installed, it still sucks the air out of the apartment to the point guests complain about it. So, I have to serve filet mignon instead of a prime rib at Xmas etc. Bought a fridge at Trumball CT store and delivery guys beat it up bringing it. Banged up paint job, freezer door never closed. So many problems. GE sent new doors but in the wrong color. Made at least 9 stops at the store to complain. Got $40 bucks off the price and a second year of my warranty extended for free ( not from them but from GE). I Purchase a LG washer and Dryer from PC Richard about two years ago. When you purchase these appliances, they do not come with Electrical cords. SO they Have to sell you theirs or they wont make the connections to the appliances when they deliver. For Liability Im sure, However, these are just delivery people, apparently not certified electricians. Or able to under stand what's entailed in making the safe connections. I just had my Dryer serviced by a private contractor and he found: The wire (plug) entering the rear had no chaffing protection or an electric wire clamp connector. The wire had shown wear from chaffing against the dryer. Also the 4 wire plug was not wired properly. Very disappointed and thankful nothing dangerous had occurred. Unfortunately, it has come to me to write a review regarding my horrible experience with P.C. Richardson. I purchased a brand-new refrigerator from the Milford location 3 years ago with a warranty. The refrigerator went out on me, and I have been in communication about fixing it for the last month. They have come out to my house four separate times to repair it, and it is still not working. Three additional times, they were to come out and end up canceling due to the parts coming in damaged. I am beside myself that this is the customer service they offer knowing a customer who bought all my kitchen appliances from them 3 years ago. My wife and I purchased several appliances for a remodel of our condo. We timed the delivery to coincide with the construction. We scheduled delivery and confirmed delivery of all the appliances for January 6, 2023 with our salesperson Manny. On that date the truck arrived without the oven (which we needed to have so the counter top could be installed). We were NEVER notified that the oven was not included in the delivery. We called the store to find out why. We were told by Manny the oven was damaged and could not be delivered. We were later told the oven would not be available until late January or early February? I visited PC Richards during a tent sale and got an amazingly good deal on a new fridge - the sales person was really helpful and nice and the pricing was the best... I had just gone to the Sear's Outlet in West Haven the week before to see what they had and the inventory was much much nicer at PC Richards, and the sales person was more knowledgable. We got a "scratch and dent" fridge that has the tiniest little dimple on the VERY bottom of the fridge. The ones at Sears Outlet looked like they'd been through a war zone. We liked the fridge so much we actually went inside and purchased a mattress as well - again, really nice sales people and the store was very clean. My girlfriend and I went into the store with the intention to replace our current mattress, which was giving her terrible back pain. We met with John on our first visit - we weren't ready to buy then, and made it clear the purpose of that trip was research, prices, types, etc. John was completely accommodating, walking my girlfriend and I though the various mattress types, construction materials, firmness and prices we had in mind and had us try them all out until we found two that might have been what we were looking for. At no point in that visit did I ever feel rushed or sold to - and we both used to work in retail! John was friendly, attentive and adaptable to our feedback, tailoring his responses to ours. On the second visit, we made our decision out of the two finalists and walked in looking to buy. John remembered us and the two we narrowed it down to, and we notified him that we settled on an S&F - definitely not the cheapest option, but by far the best for us. We finalized everything on a Tuesday, bed could have been delivered Thursday (not good, we both work office hours) so Saturday it was. We got calls from the store Friday night and Saturday morning to confirm the delivery and to narrow down the time. We live in an apartment building, 4th floor and the delivery showed up as agreed and the guys quickly carried the low-profile boxspring and mattress upstairs, no issues at all and set everything up for us. (lucky for them, it fit into our elevator) Until the bill comes in a few weeks...everything went as perfectly as it could have - John was completely knowledgeable and uncomplicated and we really appreciate the help. He even spoke in spanish to my girlfriend's Peruvian grandmother, who was with us when we bought it went out of his way to make everyone at ease. Before we went to P.C. and bought the new one, my girlfriend was waking up every morning with back pain no matter what she does, she's tried stretches, met with a chiropractor, it was becoming clear that our old mattress was the direct cause. A week later, my girlfriend's back pain is markedly less. The new mattress works well with our existing furniture and really pulls the room together. Overall from research to purchase and delivery, it was definitely an "A" experience - we would definitely buy from John again - although we don't expect to need a bed anytime soon. If this employee is in-line for any kind of promotion, bring him up! He is really good, and like I said before, with my girlfriend and I both spending time in retail, we can tell when there's a pitch being worked in and when somebody is being sincere; John is that difference and we do appreciate it! Online but with questions and nobody to talk to; and at Sam's Club with zero expertise and marginally better pricing. I ask a lot of question when making a major purchase. Came out to replace a fan motor in our LG refridgetor. Installed it incorrectly, took them greater then 24 hours to come fix the problem they caused. Some things in our freezer arent capable of sitting on an ice bed in a cooler (breast milk, so that went bad). Told us they wont refund the food that would go bad, because it's not "part of our plan" even though the food went bad because of an error on their end. Asked to speak to a manger, was told they all work "remotely and they have to send out a request". Which I find weird, that you don't have a manager working their required hours.
