I am writing this review because I wrote to the company twice thinking they would at least respond but that never happened. To be fair, I have purchased several appliances from them without incident. I purchased a new dishwasher (with installation). Had no issue until recently. The dishwasher wasn't draining. I checked YouTube for suggestions. Removed the screws and pulled the dishwasher out. To my surprise the drain hose was spliced to the old one with a rusty pipe, not to the T drain as stated on their website. So all of the dirty water was literally going back into the dishwasher. As I said, wrote to them twice. Not even a canned response. Check any installation from this shady company. I need a new refrigerator but not a chance I would buy another appliance from them. read more

My sister & I came to the north haven store to get a washing machine to replace her broken stackable washer. when we arrived in that department, we found 4 employees, 3 of which were on their phones & didn't look up or offer to help us. They seemed busy, the one gentleman closest to our age, who showed an interest in making a sale, tried to answer questions & seemed like he might be a little newer & was much friendlier than the rest. first we were told that she had to replace it with the same brand because they're stackable & have to be a certain size. We had a measurement & once we were told to remeasure, including the door in the front & back bump out of the machine. Once they realized that we did in fact have the right 32" the "manager" tried to say that even though it was 32", the bracket may not work. You have to get one specifically for that machine which meant she would have to buy a washer and a dryer and not just replace the Electrolux with another Electrolux. It just seemed that we were being steered away from what we needed into spending more $. once she decided on a different brand, she was buying the washer & dryer, we let them know we were trying to keep the cost down since now we had to buy two items. My experience with PC Richard in the past has been wonderful. I have several appliances & I've used the warranty department several times. which is why I recommended her to look there first. We asked if they match the price, yes they do, they weren't interested in looking up other places that had the same item we told them. We almost had the whole order completed, we asked if it came in white as the item would be in the closet & not visible. This is why we're doing the review. The manager seemed extremely agitated that we did that & we saved $50 per unit, which was a savings of $100 total. Then every single thing was an extra : removal of each one was a separate, delivery, stacking them were additional charges, as well as a steam cord she refused & a dryer cord, we opted to not get the plug, he was insistent on, keeping the steam one on the order? . He said you could return it later. He was slamming the keys on the keyboard after we made the change in the end. I believe his name was Ray. He was extremely unprofessional, dressed very sloppy, did not present himself as a manager & could NOT be bothered. NOT SURE WHY HES THERE. It was a disappointment. His attitude was " who cares if we make a sale today" ! We've had wonderful sales people in the past, and I believe feedback for customers to avoid this person as well that something like this matters when you're hiring people to work at your company! read more

This is for the service department only. I purchased a Samsung 30" low profile microware back in September. Within 3 months it started shuttin goff, changing the clock back to 1/1/2020, light coming on an doff whenever it wanted too, shutting down when pressing "add 30", to may problems. The service guy came on Feb. 5th to diagnose. He didn't want to listen to my list of problems. Only said we will order a new part to see if that works. Part caem in a few weekes later but it was the wrong par. Just got a call a couple of days ago to schedule an appointment. I did schedule today but they cannot show up for another 10 days. I do not recommend this microwave as PC Richards cannot service it to my satisfaction. We have spent several thousand $$ here and this product stinks and I'm not happy about the service. It would be better to take back the microwave and give me a full refund. read more

Had a truly bizarre, unprofessional experience at this store. I do not recommend that anyone purchase an appliance here, unless you are happy waiting for weeks with no communication or follow-up. Went in on 11/22 to purchase a new wall oven. Salesperson named Al assisted me. I selected an oven and set up a time for their installer to come to my house to take the appropriate measurements, which occurred on 11/26. After measuring, the installer stated that they could do the installation and that the sales team would follow up. This never happened. So, after waiting over a week, I called the store myself on 12/4 to ask what was going on. Al promised to call me back. He never did. So I called again the next day, 12/5. Al once again said he would call me back, and emphatically promised that he would do so before noon. I told him that I could not continue waiting (10 days now) and that I would have to go somewhere else if I did not hear from him this time. Noon comes and goes, still no call. Finally, two hours later, he does call. At this point, I am literally in the car on the way to Home Depot. Al offers no apology. No recognition that I have been trying for almost two weeks to fix a critical appliance in my kitchen. No indication that he even realizes or cares that he has broken his word to me for a third time, or why I should trust anything he says now. I live in New Haven and try to support family-owned businesses, which this store claims to be. But I do not recommend this store to anyone who cares about attention to detail, communication, or timeliness. Again, this was a truly bizarre experience for me -- I'm trying to pay them $1,000+ for a big appliance, and I've never seen a store so indifferent about following up with a customer to lock in their business. Fortunately, at Home Depot I was assisted by a very friendly and helpful associate. I purchased the same oven for the same price, and they even quoted me a cheaper installation fee! read more

Don't waste your money on warranty, they play the game until you lose your patience and buy a new one out of desperation. Then, after you buy a new unit, they tell you they'll give you a full refund...except it's too late because you already purchased a new unit. The northeast store in Philadelphia is my go to store for all my appliances. I recommend highly their extended warranty services. They answer the phone and set up appointments for all your needs and in this day and age never buy a product without a warranty. They are courteous, and set up repairs without any hiccup in the process as many stores fail in customer service PC is the best. read more

We are back to less than 1 star. After going through all that we have been through with this refrigerator, all of the back and forth with PC Richard service, service techs and visits to the store I thought this was resolved. We went to the store on Monday 3/31 because 1 month later PC Richard agreed to replace our fridge. So we decided to go with a different brand, and was told great they have it in stock and it will be delivered on Wednesday 4/2. I thought it was really strange that we didn't receive a delivery call, email or text message on Tuesday night giving a time frame when the delivery would take place. I was thinking maybe they are running late. Not the case. I called customer service this morning to find the delivery had not been scheduled! They then scheduled to delivery for tomorrow but said it was something that they did wrong at the store. So I went to the store this morning to talk with a manager. The manager Jason that we were dealing with was not in yet so had to explain what a mess this has been. I am blown away that he had the nerve to offer a $50 gift card after all we have been through. (It was a total insult to offer $50 gift card after loosing $1500 worth of food, all of the time it has taking to get the applicable fixed, all the time running back and forth to the store and dealing with managers that look at you like your the problem). I told him with all of the history, they should have checked and checked again to ensure everything was in order. I also told him to keep the $50 gift card because I will not be shopping at PC Richard again. If I had my way I would be getting the money back for the lemon fridge we originally purchased and I would go else where, but of course when you purchase there and they replace it you have to get it from them. So again they have you right where they want you. I will never shop at PC Richard again. POOR products, service and they don't give a crap about consumers. read more

Don't shop here! I bought a refrig/freezer here. I was lied to, damaged home upon moving new frig in/old out, scammed & deceived. I wish I could leave it at that but I'm sure the reader wants details. Problems started with the delivery. I knew something wasn't right when it took the delivery people over 2 hours to move the old frig/freezer out & the new in. After the delivery men left there were dings/damages to walls & door frame. I was told I had to get estimates for repair. The estimates are in the approximate $2000 range to repair the dings, dents, gouges, etc now PC Richards said they have to turn it over to the delivery peoples damage department because it's too much. I haven't heard anything. Next, When I bought the refrigerator, the manager said he was going to throw in this item that you attached to your washing machine and you won't ever need laundry detergent or hot water to do your washes. So it was free and I figured OK I'll take it. The manager told me that when the refrigerator would be delivered, the delivery men would install this item - they had no idea what I was talking about when they arrived. So I called the manager and I told him I don't even want this thing and he said if he took it back, he would have to charge me $300 more for the refrigerator. What??? You told me you were just throwing it in! So he said he would come by and install it. We set up a date and a time - no-show no call. Next I was charged $180 to change the waterline to bring the waterline for the icemaker up to code. The delivery man said oh you don't need this so we will bring it back to the warehouse. You're all set - I called looking for my $180 refund, I was told I would only be refunded for about $80 of that. Why is that? And also I haven't even seen ANY refund of that! Lastly, if you see another review from me regarding PC Richards, saying it was great that is because they get you to write a review before you leave the store. This is after they threw in free stuff and made you all these promises and everything was just great until you hit a roadblock. I would never shop here again. My walls are damaged. My door frame is damaged, but of course I will not relent until I get it fixed!!! Also, I will not relent until I get the credit that is due to me on this purchase. To sum things up if you want to be lied to and have terrible customer service if and when you have issues and then shop here. Very disappointed. read more

I purchased the extended warranty on a mattress with PC Richard and after 6 years, the mattress has been sinking and there is a hard metal like object sticking in my back from the Sterns and Foster mattress. I had called for a service call and they told me there is nothing they can do. I will never buy one thing again from them. They don't back up their warranties after pushing them on you. I am not a customer and will never be. Their driver backed into my mailbox when making a delivery to my neighbor, and cracked the post and mailbox. It is being held by a thread and the next windstorm will take it away. I sent pics and estimate to replace and they will not honor it. They said they will repair it which it is beyond repair. I am so disappointed with my most recent purchase. I bought a GE Profile Series refrigerator on June 5th and it was not available for delivery until last week. They delivered it on Saturday but it had a huge dent on it so they took it back. On Tuesday two different service guys delivered the new refrigerator. While it had no dents, the guys were thugs! First thing they did was tell me that since they were not taking away my old refrigerator, they would not make any money on selling it and so I needed to give them a $15-20 tip. Then I showed him where it was to be put in my basement. Next he looked at the water hook-up I had for the refrigerator and told me I needed a new pipe. I said I did not because the copper pipe I had worked fine. He was insisting that it was broken and called his boss. So he waited outside while he heard back from his boss. This guy's next complaint was that there were five steps up to my front door. I insisted that he needed to hook the refrigerator to the pipe I had. He then got more irritable and rude. He said he would not take my old refrigerator to the basement and he left it on my front lawn. After I signed the paperwork and he was on his way out, I was planning to give him a tip despite his rudeness, but only if he did the job I paid for which was to move the old refrigerator to the basement. I said, "so are you going to move the old one to the basement?" He said, "no." I said, "ok, thanks." He said, "That's how you are going to thank me?" I was alone in my how with my daughter and this guy became more and more threatening. I made my daughter stay in her room. I was concerned about these guys. I had my phone in my hand, ready to call 911. My final words were "don't you fight with me in my house," and he left. I called my salesperson at PC Richards, Irving, and while he was sympathetic, he kept saying let me call you back. I will look into it. He never did. I spoke with his manager, Wahid Zahidy. He was indignant, arrogant, and condescending. He acted as if I did something wrong. He said, "I'm not there. I am in the store doing sales. I can't see what they are doing (referencing the delivery guys). " I spent $3500 on this refrigerator and this is how I got treated. I have to say, I will never buy from the North Haven P.C. I was very pleased with the salesperson and surprised by the speed of the oven delivery. I was assured that the trim piece would cover the small gap. The installation people seemed surprised that there was no trim piece with the stove. I was told that PC Richards would get me one. Then I was told they didn't exist. Now nobody will talk to me about how to get one. No calls back. I would not recommend the North Haven, Ct store unless you are very careful you have all the pieces to your appliances before paying in full. read more

Where do I start! This is my 8th service call on a frigidaire dishwasher that is less than a year old. I've never seen such an incompetent organization in my life. Today they came and replaced a part that looks used (as you can see in the picture). The techs were here for less then 5 minutes and didn't even test the dishwasher before they left. This dishwasher has been leaking during every run for the past 5 months. All I want is a credit to go somewhere else and buy one because I would never purchase from PC Richards again. I've been told numerous times a service manager would call me and I've still never heard from anyone. I'm beyond disgusted with this company and will strongly urge everyone to stay away from them - they sell junk appliances and have the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. read more

Went in today to make an exchange of a microwave we purchased that was too big for our kitchen built-in. Was greeted at the door by John who was super nice and offered to find me a carriage for our child (who I was carrying around in his car seat). I think we were in and out of the store with our correct sized microwave in less than 5 minutes. John even went further to offer us a discount on a warranty. And to top that off, he offered to carry it to our vehicle for us. Why did I even think to try ordering my new fridge elsewhere? After a fiasco with *redactedname (lowes)* I turned to PC Richards. Even though I am in MA, they got me the same fridge and delivered /exactly/ when they said they would. My apt isn't an easy reach and I was worried about the fridge getting up to my 3rd floor home, but the guys from CT did a GREAT job! Even on one of the hottest days of the year they were pleasant and personable. Really cannot say enough good things about them, the service I received or the company. We wanted a self defrosting freezer and an online search brought us to P.C. Richard. They had exactly what we wanted on sale. I placed the order online on Wednesday and although they offered FREE next day delivery, we chose Saturday. We received several emails in advance as well as a call from the delivery men advising of their arrival time. They arrived as promised, installed the freezer in the basement, and were on their way.
