I am extremely disappointed with the delivery service I received on the morning of 3/18/26. Both my washer and dryer were scratched in multiple places during delivery, and my basement stairs sustained a significant wood chip. When I was documenting the damage, the delivery person made a dismissive comment about the front door being easier to use. I clarified that he never asked to use the front door, but he insisted otherwise, which was untrue. Most of the damage occurred while maneuvering the appliances down the basement stairs. Additionally, during installation, the washer hose snapped and caused water to spray everywhere. The delivery person simply taped the hose instead of properly fixing it. At the end of the delivery, he asked me to sign on his phone, but I refused due to my dissatisfaction. Later, I received an email with a forged signature and a statement refusing responsibility for any damage claims made after signing, which I never agreed to. I contacted the store and was only offered a $200 refund or a replacement, with no extension of the warranty despite my concerns about the damage. I also expressed my discomfort with having their delivery team return, so I accepted the refund to avoid further damage. They provided a contact number for the house damage claim, but I remain unsatisfied with this resolution. To make matters worse, the delivery person called me on his personal phone after I filed my claim, asking why I reported the incident to the store. I explained all of the damage and how he forged my signature and all he said was, "Yeah..". Now I'm being harassed on top everything. This is outrageous! read more

We've been patronizing this P.C. Richard's store for about 20 years. First was a washer and dryer, TV's, BBQ's , and on and on. So our dryer began making noises which got louder and louder. Time for another trip to PC Richard's for a née one. The washer has outlived it's life expectancy for might as well make it a package. Our salesman was a little older man. Very nice, but I'll just leave it at that. Our purchase was in August and we were promised a two week delivery. Two weeks, no delivery. I kept calling but kept getting put off. This past Sunday we made a trip to the store, and I'm ready for a throw down. I want a manager and I want him now. Here comes Trevor. Very easy going and very understanding. It's all the supply chain issues due to Covid. I get it, but Trevor made no excuses. After checking with the warehouse he says "Mid December but I wouldn't count on it". Now what? Trevor goes to work checking inventory on all washers dryers. While he's checking he politely asks us to look at their models and maybe we'll see something else. Also sends another salesman, Michael, to help us. They come up with a slightly better model and Trevor works as much magic as he can to keep the price as close to the original. Bonus, it will be delivered on Wednesday, thats today. Yes three days after this fiasco Trevor, with an assist from Michael, have solved our problem. Washer and dryer were delivered today, hooked up and are Looking and working great. Thank you Trevor and Michael for the save. You have restored our love for PC Richard's. read more

I used to order order all my electronics here, spending thousands. They would give me a delivery window and they would never arrive because my products arrived at the wrong house - one was even fully installed!!! There is no address in my town with the St house number that's mine so they delivered to the Avenue that was two numbers off and 4 streets away. The items were always signed for and I would be here furious. I'd call and they came with it saying how sorry they were with damage to the purchases that I would call and refuse to take. Everything was unboxed - something they do as a curtesy but unboxed at the other house... and the installed item they said they wouldn't replace since it had been installed and I moved. Uhm, no. I, at that point, went to the store found various goods that were used or returned for sale and I had a "nice interrupted chat with the manager".He said no refunds since I moved (same day and within hours? dumb--.). So I went to corporate, they refunded me all the money. So the morale of the story... Thanks Lowe's - lower prices & same day delivery to my house. Imagine that! read more

Extremely disappointed with our recent experience. We have dealt with Irbrahim for many years, and purchased a dishwasher with him recently. Upon delivery day, delivery was canceled because hoses were not in stock and had to be ordered. We received an email stating the hoses were ordered and delivery could take up to 7-10 days, but we would get a confirmation when they were shipped. We never received a confirmation, or the hoses, even though another delivery date was set up for the following week. We ended up canceling the order. As loyal customers, we were never offered an alternative or resolution, he just let us cancel the order with no apology. read more

In December 2021, I purchased a washer and dryer for my home. I paid the FULL price in store the date of purchased left the store looking forward for the delivery date. I was eventually charged an additional $54.32 without being made aware. I just spoke with a manger in training and he said that in the sales reps notes, it does not state that I was even notified about this new charge (this apparently is due to a change in color for one of the machines). The manger also stated that I should have received a bill from the installers the date that my washer and dryer were delivered.... I had not. The phone conversation ended with "looks like you're going to have to pay that charge." I have purchased many appliances at PC Richards in the past and have been VERY satisfied with their customer service.... however, I have never been to the store in Stony Brook and do not plan on returning. I can't thank you all enough for getting me a new refrigerator within less than 24 hours when mine died! I called and spoke with Ibrahim. He was very helpful and knowledgeable! Took my order right the phone ( I did my research on their website) and he looked up my PC Richards credit card as well. Being most stores are closed at this time and I rather not leave my house this was so helpful to me. Ibrahim called the warehouse to request a next day delivery being I had no refrigerator. We stocked up during this difficult time and couldn't imagine losing everything we bought! We got delivery at 8am the next morning. The men brought the new fridge to my front door. Its the same product as the larger, big brother corporation. Lemme ask you something, does the other stores throw you a free HDMI cable when you purchase anything? I can't even give them a star, but Yelp makes me. We ordered for my elderly uncle, a washer, dryer and microwave from them. Their driver/installer broke my uncle's stove when putting in or taking out the microwave. The driver covered it up with cardboard, while my uncle's healthcare worker was in another room with my 98 year old uncle, who is a WWII veteran and asked her to sign a paper. She signed, noticed the cardboard and asked the man to remove it, when it was removed the whole stovetop was shattered. The aid got into it with the driver, he claimed to call the dispatcher and they would call back to replace the stove. Instead the liar told the dispatcher the aid dropped a thermos in the top. Really you can clearly see it was a heavy item that was dropped on the stovetop. We have been fighting with P.C Richards to do right by our elderly uncle and they refused. Two things to keep in mind this is not customer satisfaction and would you want this driver/ installer in your home? He has probably already done this before. Very disappointed! After picking out a TV, Ron the salesman says he has to take the TV out of the box and see if the screen is damaged so they are not held liable. Ordered a dryer at the store on Wednesday 6/30/21 and agreed for it to be delivered Saturday 7/3/21. On Friday I received a text message confirming the delivery between 9am-11am. Woohoo!!.... 10am Saturday Ibrahim calls to let me know they have no more inventory of the dryer we purchased and there was a mistake in the system. Ibrahim also mentioned perhaps they have it but it's behind other inventory? I was annoyed BUT he mentioned would sell us the one on the floor and take $200 off the initial price. We agreed. Needing and expecting a dryer on Saturday, I was then told the delivery drivers would try to come that day (7/3/21) if not Thursday??....which is 5 days from the initial delivery date. Again annoyed but hopeful. Around 1:30pm I called to inquire about the status and received a phone call letting us know they would be there within 30 minutes. After about 40 minutes, I placed a call back and spoke with Ibrahim who informed me that it will be delivered in another 30-60 minutes. It never came :-(. We were lied to multiple times by not having inventory in their warehouse and delivery time. I can't complain about the products and prices they have, but the salesmen...horrible. Sleezy cars salesman feel. The second you walk in immediately bombarded. To be specific Dillon J was our salesperson, so unprofessional. He should be lucky he only got our sale because we came into the store already knowing what we wanted. He was so dismissive and rude, LITERALLY STALKED US AROUND THE STORE WHILE WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE A DECISION ON A TV. He had a weird rude comment for everything. He TRIED, and I emphasize try, to sell us on a warranty and hdmi cable with the tv and was so pushy when we said absolutely not 10x. Absolutely nothing but a hassle. I had to fight them initially 3 years ago to honor the free installation that they promised me after purchasing our air conditioner. 3 years later our dishwasher is experiencing an issue and I merely wanted somebody to come out to look at it. After calling Steve the manager at this location he passed me off to the central service facility to which "the best" they could do is 25% off their $150 fee just have somebody look at it. Mind you this will not cover the parts to repair it bringing my total up to more than the unit cost brand new. At just three years old this is completely unacceptable. I am currently looking for a new dishwasher at Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, Sears, and several other online Outlets. I will never do business with PC Richards again, neither myself nor our company. read more

If I could give this company -5 stars, I would. This joke of company is ran by scam artists and cons. Do not shop here by any means. ESPECIALLY RIVERHEAD/LONGISLAND PC RICHARDS. TWICE my poor elderly parents bought a dryer in 2019 and the installer refused to hook it up unless given $50 dollars to "clean the lint trap". Was actually going to LEAVE the dryer unhooked and the old dryer to the side and leave if they didn't pay up for him to 'clean' it. WELL today... the second and last time, they bought a refrigerator WITH installation included (ON THE RECEIPT, by the way). Once the installers unhooked the old refrigerator, they claimed to refuse to complete the installation and would need to call a plumber to turn off the water. We ourselves turned off the water and they claimed it would cause problems. It in fact, did not. He stated he worked for the company for 15 years and 'knew' he couldn't complete the installation due to this and insisted we needed a plumber (knowing a plumber would cost well over a couple hundred for a small task that we untrained people could easily turn a spigot). When we did turn the spigot, they went on to state "okay, now the old copper pipe won't fit the new fridge" and that we needed to either call the plumber or give him money to 'fix' the copper water pipe to connect it. With that, he cut the pipe, didn't add any thing to pipe wire and inserted it and that was it. He requested money to fix this to 'help us' avoid a big plumber bill. It was metaphorical mugging at gunpoint. Basically pay me or I'm leaving you without a working fridge. A COMPLETE JOKE. and now our sales lady PAT who works at Riverhead PC RICHARDS is claiming there's nothing she can do because her CON ARTISTS INSTALLERS are stating a different story. Here is what their slogan reads: "100 years of honesty, integrity, reliability...the company you can trust since 1909" oh please. of all the PC Richards i've been to, the salesmen act shady. and the most recent experience makes me think they wrote their slogan on opposite day. the only reason to finally write a review is because we ordered a tv, we waited a month, and it still hasn't come. they have offered a replacement tv, which basically means to me that they know the product is not coming. it must be one of those things in which they have a wonderful sale price, sell more than they actually have, and leave you in the dust if they run out and don't even bother to tell you. i just need to make sure they credit us the thousand dollars they charged us a month ago. final note-- might be a good place to go to check whats out there and buy whats in stock. but if you hate feeling duped and waste a month wishing you had your fancy new tv, beware if they say they have to have it shipped in. read more

NEVER EVER GOING BACK !!! Since I had purchased from them before when I decided to buy my first home computer I went back. BIG MISTAKE ! I was told I needed to purchase a security package. I did not! It came for free with the computer& thru the cable company. I asked if I had to do anything to activate this security package & I was told all I had to was fill out a rebate form on line. Turns out I had to install the new system & uninstall the free system. I then had to print a copy of the rebate form (no printer) make copies to mail in for the rebate (no copier) So after spending 2+hours with tech support & making 2 trips to library-to print & copy I was finally able to send in my rebate. This salesperson was either incredibly ignorant regarding this product or he flat out lied to make a sale. If you need an knowledgeable sales person when buying a computer (or anything else) my experience would say go elsewhere. Do not trust PC Richard - In the past I have found PC Richard very reliable- when I redid my kitchen 4 years ago purchased all my appliances and paid for a 10 year extended warranty for them. Since Sept 2020 they have not been cooperative in fixing my Samsung Showcase Refrigerator - 4 visits and the ice maker is still not functioning properly, the top frame was bent, the frig was never pushed back. They replaced the door and left it for me to dispose of - repairman told me it was my problem. I just made my final call to PC Richard to get it fixed and put into place - and once again I will sit here all day waiting - spoke to Samsung and my only recourse is to pay them to fix it - which is ridiculous since I have a 10 year service contract - need appliances - shop elsewhere read more

PLEASE SEE ADDENDUM AT THE END OF THIS REVIEW!!! I purchased a service plan upon buying my refrigerator. There is a crack in my ice maker bucket and water is leaking into the bottom of my fridge. I called P.C. Richards, and they set up a service appointment-a tech was sent to my home a week later. The guy looked at my fridge and said that the ice bucket needed to be replaced and he would order a replacement part that would be shipped to my home. He took out a tablet, appearing to place an order. Fast forward to almost a month later, never received the part or heard from anyone from P.C. Richards. I placed a call to customer service and was told by a very defensive and rude woman that the part isn't covered under the service plan because it is "cosmetic". I told her that "the technician said that it was covered. Was he not telling the truth?"She replied nastily"I guess so!" Not once did I raise my voice or was negative toward her, I expected the same respect. Guess I expect too much..... Hmmmm. Is the puddle of water under my dairy drawer "cosmetic" as well? I wouldn't be as upset about this if someone from PC Richards at least had the decency to call and let me know this at the get-go. I would have even accepted a follow-up call a week or two later to inform me that it wasn't covered, but instead they were probably hoping that we would forget and never bother to inquire. The service plan is not a cheap one, you would think that I was at least owed a follow-up phone call and explanation for the price. Not good business practice at all. I have followed-up by placing a phone call and have written two emails and have not received a reply regarding this. Very disappointed and insulted by the treatment I have received from them. I will think twice before buying from P.C. Richards or recommending them to anyone. Review update: I was contacted last night by manager Rick-not long after I posted this review. He was very apologetic and looked into the matter right away(mind you, I posted that review rather late last night). He is replacing the part and adding in a gift card. Bought a wall mounted A/C from this store a few days ago. Cirilo, (the sales associate), was polite and professional. The transaction was quick and efficient since I had done my homework and came prepared with a printed copy of the A/C I wanted which I had gotten over the internet which included the item's model #, specifics and price. The one discrepancy I encountered was the delivery charge which was listed as $25 on the internet for my location, but was listed as $49 on their computer. Luckily, since I had the printed page with me the manager was called over and he overrode their system's price. - All was well. The reason for the minus 3 stars is simple, the installers. The installers were very quick, but just as sloppy. A cracked outside tile, dust blown into the house from a diamond saw, a small bend in the plastic housing just where the A/C latches on to the sleeve, and a gap in that same spot which is obvious and just doesn't look right. *Mind you, this was an installation to replace an A/C which was 1/4 inch shorter on just one side than the new one I had purchased. My front screen/ glass door which had been working fine for the last 10 years refused to lock after they left, seems some considerable force was exerted on it and it bowed a bit. To top things off the A/C was not secured to the sleeve by the 4 retaining self tapping screws, I found this odd and checked the box they left on the curb. I found the screws along with other hardware completely sealed in it's plastic pouch and I secured the A/C to the sleeve myself, (after patching up the broken tile, vacuuming and adjusting the door so that it is somewhat what it was before they arrived). If I could I'd give the salesman five stars, but the installers barely deserve a one. Definitely not the type of installation that is worth $145 on top of the price of delivery. Total installation time took less than 15min. Motto: "If you can do it yourself do." Unfortunately the A/C was a bit too heavy for my wife and I to handle safely and we were worried we might damage the unit during the install, therefore we opted for the store's installers. Next time we'll have the item delivered and if need be, find someone else who is careful, conscientious and not trying to beat the Guinness Book of World Records for an A/C installation. Addendum: Within 24 hours after posting this review the manager of this PC Richard contacted me. He offered me his apologies and compensated me for the installation and delivery charges. Additionally, he sent a second installation crew to assess the initial installation. The second crew determined the A/C had been forced to fit and the A/C housing had been irreversibly damaged, however to re-do the installation would likely make matters worse. A total of six screws had not been used and essentially overlooked. On their suggestion which screws needed to be inserted, I proceeded to do so. The second crew suggested that we specifically ask for them for any future installations since they would be more conscientious with the task and not rush the job. In light of the store manager's follow-up and the reversal of charges I'm changing my initial rating of two stars to three stars. I cannot give a four or five due to the fact that I incurred damage to my house, the time wasted to address the problem and I am still left with an A/C which evidently was forced to fit. To summarize I will still remain a customer of PC Richard due to the Manager's conciliatory efforts. However I am now understandably wary of anything I purchase in the future which requires an installation. read more

Don't expect service, you won't get any. Don't expect an on time delivery - not happening. Don't expect decent treatment from anybody except the salesman while he puts his hand in your pocket. Do expect lip service only. Do expect to be unable to call a for a service appointment. Do expect to be treated in the most shabby manner. Do go to Lowe's instead where their extended warranty includes appliance replacement, not just excuses about unavailable parts. Do avoid PC Richard like the plague we're in the middle of now! Good grief - can it get any worse? Now they tell us the parts are in but they have to find two technicians willing to work together! He made an honest recommendation for another unit, which I was actually also considering, and without being pushy, enabled me to make the better choice for my purchase. Their Manager James, who was also very pleasant, sealed the deal by matching the great price I had already obtained from Costco. Delivery and installation was two days later and that too was a great experience with two very professional and personable gentlemen. We've been dealing with PC Richards for the past 20 years. The last 10 have been with the Lake Grove/Stony Brook Rt 347 Store. We've bought appliances for us, as well as other family members. In each instance I have had complete confidence because of the way that we were always treated by them. All of the purchases for over the past 10 years have been through Steve at the Stony Brook Store. He has always treated us with courtesy, dignity and respect. Steve knew that several of those appliances (gas range, refrigerator, microwave -to name a few) were going specifically/ordered/sent to our 90+ mother living in Bklyn. In each instance, he made sure that she would be taken care of, and at the same time he wanted to insure that her needs would be met without hassle. He succeeded in every instance! Our most recent purchase was for us. It was for a replacement stand-alone Freezer. When I went and explained the situation, the response was totally devoid of any heavy sales pitch. No haggling, no fuss, no dickering. We got what we needed. Got the warrantee that would address all of our needs, and there was NO pushing on his part. Their delivery system works well. We got an email with a link providing a delivery window, plus a phone call from the driver 30-40 minutes out. This is our go to place for major appliances, (Washers & Dryers, Plasma) and we are happy to say it. read more

I'm currently standing in P.C Richards and even though our salesman is very sweet, when asked if they could throw anything in since we were buying a decently priced grill they offered 10$ off the 60$ grill cover. When my boyfriend asked if they could do better the salesman asked his boss( a shorter older man with light hair and blue eyes, he wasn't wearing a name badge) and he said no. It's a 60$ grill cover and not expensive that that was all he could do. So my boyfriend said never-mind he can get a cover cheaper elsewhere so the boss walked away and started mumbling it's a lousy 60$. Not being able to discount I completely get. But the side wording completely left a bad taste in our mouth. When we come to a store to make a purchase especially over 500$ the last thing we expect is one of the employees let alone what seemed to be a manager to judge what we think is expensive or not. We purchased the bbq because we needed one but we were also looking at a washer and dryer purchase because our dryer is going. Sadly we won't be purchasing it here in the future now. P.C. Since April I bought a refrigerator, computer, and this week a wall over and a LED TV. If this were two years ago Best Buy would of had my business. Because of helpful sales people and managers I have been back four times to purchase electronics and appliances at P.C. Richards. Best Buy could learn something from P.C. Richards. Especially how to treat customers. Something they forgot how to do years ago. read more

Customer Service Sucks. The delivery and installation guys LIE N ripped me off. told me I had to pay additional for something n over charged me. Most places don't charge extra for hoses, and brackets but PC Richards does. a 400 dishwasher came to 700 with additional BS. Never going there again. read more

Once again I am disappointed with P.C. Richard. I bought a gas dryer last year and just like the flat screen tv that we purchased, it too broke! I went to use the dryer last night and it wont turn on. I called their Service Department only to be told again that they dont service Medford. They subcontract out to someone else to fix the dryer and they cant come uintil Tuesday! I have learned my lesson. I will never again buy from P.,C. Richard. I have been a customer since 1973 and their new business practices are terrible. They used to have good Customer Service and good products. read more
