Not a super relaxing setting, water was cold, and it was noisy. I do like to relax and have somewhat of a spa experience, but the results were very good which is more important. read more

Y'all are absolutely horrible!!!! You lack customer service experience, I've called and so did a friend of mine in order to get holiday hour information. And when we asked about the weekend hours someone from your establishment replied with "it depends" when asked about weekend hours. We were both floored with how lazy of a remark to say to a potential customer..."it depends" wow just wow. All I can say is I don't know how in the world this place is still open... y'all come off as lazy and freaking rude af over the phone and i for one am happy that i will NEVER go there ever!!!! My wife frequents this location. This is a great little place in the area to treat yourself to a pedi, mani or fill. They are very reasonably priced....$25 for a pedi...a little extra if you want French, but that is pretty normal among all who do nails. They do a great job on nails as well as my wife has had her acrylic nails done there a few times. If you are driving from a distance, just be sure to call ahead of times as there have been cases where they will close due to various reasons so just double check before you drive. As well, they can get super busy and be backed up so you may want to schedule the time to go in and ensure you don't have to wait unnecessarily. Overall, it is a great little family owned business that has always treated me well and done a great job. We'll continue to go when we are in the area. read more

They were 15 minutes late opening. Do not take appts as they are "too busy". Everything hurry hurry rush rush. Had to ask to have the rough edges she left after finishing the polish smoothed. Never trimmed the cuticle. Never had us wash our hands. No lotion applied, I had to ask to use it. I will not be going back and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Tim is a perfectionist when it comes to a good manicure. This place only does solar nails. Is very busy on weekends, so try to go during the week if possible or expect to wait (or come back.) Ive been to a bunch of places in brownsville & I drive to port isabel because this is the best. read more

Not bad at all, for the price and location. We needed a little R&R and we couldn't make it to Mexico, so we hit the new Dollar Tree and then went for the pedicures. The two male manicurists were a little freaked out about doing another guy's nails, they wanted to make either me or my GF's dad wait until another girl arrived, even though she was "stuck in traffic." We persisted and they dealt with it. The massage chairs were really great, full body, adjust the speed and strength. They also used a lot of the exfoliating salt stuff with a pretty thorough calf/ankle massage, and finished up with some substance that smelled like Ben Gay but acted like Icy Hot. If you have 5 hours to wait for your toes to dry you're good. It is clean, but that's all it is. Was told after waiting to be shown to some type of drying apparatus for 20 minutes that I could leave at my own risk. Guarded my toes for like 2 hours, it still got all messed up. Never been to a nail place that doesn't make sure your nails are dry. Or at least put you at a dryer and advise how long to stay. read more

During my brief residency in Port Isabel, this was my nail place. Extremely affordable, almost never a wait, & everyone there is super friendly. After my most recent nail experience up here in Austin, it's one of the few things I miss about south Texas. If you're around these parts, go get your nails done here. And ask for Norma! I would give them zero stars if i could!!! This is the worst salon I have ever been to!!!!!! The lady doing my pedicure scrubbed my toes so hard with the brush that I wanted to kick her!! OMG. The absolutely WORST pedicure ever. It was more like a butcher job than a pedicure - cut my big toe nails all the way down to HALF of the nail ( not a good look) and telling me the reason was because of toenail fungus. I have had some toenail fungus for quite a few years and I have had many many pedicures and never ever has anyone ever handled it in this particular manner. Also they took off my old nail polish with an electronic device which is usually used only to trim the end of nails that stick up. I left for a few minutes looked at my nails and really became Furious, so I went back and requested my money back. The owner originally started to give me my money and then said he didn't like my "attitude" and wasn't going to give me back my money and threatened to call the police if I did not GET OUT of his shop. What a charmer! Wow and I have had my nails done there in the past, three and four years ago and had nail fungus at the time and did not have this experience. If they don't want to work on people with nail fungus, they should let them know when they call up to make an appointment, which I did. I think this would put them in a difficult position as I would say at this time of year probably 50% of the people in my age group have some kind of nail fungus. read more

Don't plan on making an appointment. Waited 30 minutes after the appointment time and finally left. I have had my nails done there before and they were ok but not as good as some. There were some ridges on the nail bed that were not there before. And, plan on hearing all their wooes about help and family members (not a big deal if If the nail job is good) but not very professional? Haven't decided if I will go back ~ I have always tiped well in the past but may not after this. I am researching other places in the area. Life is to short to be treated that way! If they want to give an appointment time it should be honored ( I'm not unreasonable 10 or 15 min late ok) but 30 min. and not looking like done anytime soon is unexceptable! I went to pi nails and received the best treatment. Tim and his wife Le own the place and made me feel so relaxed and of course I like people with a sense of humor , well they have it! They are located on hwy 100 right next to subway in port Isabel. The service I received was a regular pedi and a full set. Well let me tell you that my full set is still in tact and it has been 2 1/2 weeks. Maybe by the full 3 1/2 weeks I should be ready for a fill. my pedi still looks great. My husband and I were on vacation in South Padre Island and we wanted to get a pedicure. We called ahead and were told to come in right away. When we got there, the lady, who I would assume is the owner, came over to us nervous because her new chairs only had a 200 pound weight limit and she was afraid we were going to break them and they were new and very expensive. She was trying very hard to be nice about it and I was also was trying to be very understanding. My husband and I are both pretty heavy and not wanting to cause any harm to anything we left. She was very thankful we understood and hugged me and told me she loved me, which was beyond stupid!! We have both gotten pedicures before and never ran into this. It was very humiliating and I am not sure why on earth anyone would purchase chairs with 200 pound weight limit...it's completely ridiculous! I have no knowledge if they do a good job or not, but I was hoping to save someone the humiliation of going through the same thing we did. read more
