P S Fine Stationers is my go to for special gifts and unique items for myself. Sometimes I find things there that I always wished I'd had but didn't know existed. Sal and his sister run this family owned business and one of the two of them are always inside when it's open. They have helped me with invitations and with choosing gifts within my budget. One example was that I was looking for "Evil Eye" jewelry for a couple of gifts and Sal showed me items ranging from $25 to $950. that were all unique. I'm sorry but there's no place like this. I have a set of heavy leather TV/lap trays that I wanted to give as a gift but couldn't part with. Jeweled photo frames, scarab jewelry, artistic pieces everywhere and just being in the store with room scent sprays and little chocolates makes me smile every time. This stationary store has a good selection of cute and quality printable invitations and notecards. They have a lot of stock and pretty good stuff. I would go back. My only complaint about this place is that the whole time we were in there (both times), the staff was on the phone constantly and didn't acknowlege us until we walked/checked out. When they were talking to us though, they were nice. Wish I had asked about their return policy... but I didn't need to use it anyway. read more

This sweet treasure in Branford is the perfect spot for fun gifts or just a perfect spot to browse around and take in all the beautiful things. I guarantee you cannot leave there without a smile on your face! My friend and I came across it one day and have been going back there ever since. She travels all the way from Stamford to meet me there and I come from Mystic. It is a treat for us to have a late breakfast and then just get lost in the joy of this awesome boutique. Hi. My mom brought me to Branford and took me to Sal's shops on the Green when I first arrived. While one store is closed his P.S. Stationer's store is a convenient location, but that's not the best part. He has gifts of all kinds and beeeaaauutiful cards for a range of budgets. If you want an expensive item, you are sure to find it here. And yet if you can only afford a trinket, you can find that as well. WE LOVE SAL! And have gotten to know his family -- great bunch of people. I love Sal's convenience. I can always call him and he acts like a personal gift shopper, being sensitive to my budget and what I can afford. One of the Shoreline's Best Kept Secrets is that Sal, the owner of this store, coordinates a small number of weddings and events each year. He served as the wedding coordinator for our wedding on October 1 and finding him was the best thing we did. Sal helped us with everything: invitations, finding vendors, flowers (unbelievable), setting up the room, adjusting for a last-minute indoor ceremony due to weather, and dealing with the venue coordinator. He has impeccable taste and made sure that every single detail was perfect. I, as the bride, never had to worry - I knew that Sal was on it, and this decreased my stress by about 1000%. My guests are still raving about his floral decorations --- gorgeous. lots of nice stuff but thru the roof expensive! you can find everything in there cheaper elsewhere. also, staff was very judgemental and condescending. it was clear that they only catered to the rich people of branford. staff never came from behind the counter for me but as soon as someone came in that had a fur coat on, they were like flies on shit.... i would go there again for ideas only, then i would order the item from somewhere else much cheaper read more
