P-Town is located on the second floor in the downtown area of charming Pawhuska. The town itself is getting a much needed revival with repaved streets and new businesses. P-Town is owned by Ree Drummond who is well known for her show, The Pioneer Woman, on the Food Network. The menu has some tantalizing pizza combinations along with some old favorites. We ordered the steakhouse pizza. For a person that only eats traditional pizza combos- I have to admit this was the most flavorful pizza I've eaten. It was loaded with medium-rare beef sliced thin, mushroom chips, red onions, tangy sauces among other goodies. I definitely recommend it. They also have a full bar. I tried the ranch water- purported to be a favorite of Ree's and it was a refreshing addition to the warm weather. They also offer a selection of craft Oklahoma beers. The service was great. This was an enjoyable experience and I was a little surprised how good the pizza was. I ordered The Lots of Meat and would recommend it. My wife tried the newest pizza, the MARGHE-REE-TA PIZZA and she enjoyed it immensely. Service was great, the beer was cold and the restaurant was a modern rustic look. The steakhouse pizza saved the meal, very delicious from the tender steak to the crispy mushrooms. Located downtown on the upper level of the building. Cute exposed brick with a dining room open to the area that houses the pizza oven. The stairs leading into the restaurant seem like they could be dangerous after a few drinks, but there are handrails! There's a nice size bar, a couple smaller dining rooms, followed by a larger dining room and an outdoor balcony. We showed up a little after lunch time on a Friday afternoon and we're seated immediately. The server was at our table within moments of sitting and took our drink order. She explained the seasonal drink was a competition among the servers and she was "losing." She was very sweet about it, but I did feel pressured to try it, even though the lemonade was more than enough for me. On that note, the lemonade was delicious and perfectly sweet. The buffalo wings are maybe the best I've ever had. The skin stayed crispy and the buffalo sauce was spectacular. The pizza was made with fig jam, prosciutto, and fresh arugula. It was very good, but I think a bit of crispy prosciutto would give it a little extra texture. The crust was thin and light and just the way I like it. I have given this place a few chances in the past year and my last visit will be the last unless something changes. The food has gone precipitously downhill from a few years ago. The pizza has been greasy, missing ingredients, and then this last time I ordered a Margherita pizza and they literally made a cheese pizza and put basil on it. No fresh sliced mozzarella or tomatoes like anyone would expect. They are obviously cutting corners and at this point it's overpriced for what you get. The pizza is better at Casey's. read more

Tip number one go here on a weekday for lunch, there is no wait. In the evening when we went it was always an hour plus wait. The pizza is great and everyone who goes here raves about it. Our server was great and checked on us frequently. The cook ruined the Steakhouse pizza by dumping what had to be over a cup of mushroom chips on it. Ordered bacon and pepperoni on my pizza. They decided to do triple meat with out telling me and my pizza was so greasy that everything just slid right off it. Also got my meal 20-25 mins before my wife. Also made us wait 30 minutes then tried to sit us at the bar in stools. Then I had to complain and get back on the list for a normal table. The crust was thin and chewy and both pizzas full of flavor. Loved them both. Only negative was the cherries used in the old fashioneds...needs an upgrade from the usual maraschino cherry. Called to place an order and the boy taking the order was surly at best. He hung up on me without telling me how long before my order was ready so I had to call back. Still surly. I arrived (after navigating the road construction) and yep, he was still surly. I paid him and he nodded his head in the direction of another counter and said, "there's your pizza". I asked for red peppers, which he poured into a plastic drink cup. By this time, I'm irritated due to the lack of courtesy and decency. Ree Drummond's Mercantile restaurant across the street had a 90-minute wait. So, this also Drummond property became our second choice and afterwards we were glad the Mercantile was too busy. Gourmet pizzas here have fluffy, flame oven cooked crusts and inventive ingredients, such as mushroom chips--slightly crispy fungi slices that accented the meat pizza. Hefty pieces of chopped steak cooked to medium perfection were the main feature of that meat pie. Our server told us the Caesar salad was big enough for two so a couple split it. He was right. Much of the salad would have been wasted on a single diner. As everything Drummond is, this was a homey, casual, and comfortable spot. Note: the restaurant is on the second floor. Lasagna piping hot & salad came with a garlic knots. It literally was the best meal while I was In Pawhuska. The fig & pricutto pizza was ok. Wouldn't get it again. Not the pizzas fault. Just my mom's choice. Not mine. We sat outside the 1st visit. Then inside next visit. There are steep steps up to the dining area so definitely be aware there's no elevator to 2nd floor dining. The crust was thin and crispy just like the bar pies at the Star Pizza in East Orange, NJ but better. Best crust I ever had. Rest of pizza was great too. Ceasars with steak on top was fantastic too. The portions are huge. We didn't know that going in. Our table of four could have shared 2 small pizzas and a salad and still had leftovers. The food was delicious. It's unfortunate that our waitress didn't mention that there was a steak and potato special on the night of our visit as some at our table would have ordered the special. It was a beautiful day so there were a lot of people in Pawhuska. There was a bit of a wait but it wasn't bad, there's a lot of shops to visit while you wait. We ordered the Not Knots, amazing! The buttery garlic coating is subtle, the knots were fluffy and light, the cheese was chunky and full of flavor. We also had the pepperoni pizza, it was also amazing. Just the old school town feel makes everything about this road trip Great and This spin off pizza joint from the Drummonds was a fantastic choice for our first in town meal. Great location with both indoor and outdoor seating along with a great layout. Would make a great spot to catch a game. Service was great, fast and friendly. The night we arrived in Pawhauska was our anniversary, and we decided to eat at P-Town. Unfortunately, it was not the best choice. Staff was friendly, but the service was slow. We ordered the Not Knots, which were absolutely delicious! We also ordered the chicken wings and pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza. The sauce for the chicken wings was ordered, on the side. When they came out, the sauce was on the wings. The server offered to take them back, but we had waited so long we decided to try them but didn't enjoy them drenched in sauce, so we asked for them to be remade, which they did. They tasted okay but were nothing special. The pizza finally arrived at the table, we weren't a fan of the plain crust but enjoyed the crust that had the toppings. It was so extremely good and literally THE best restaurants I've ever been to in my life. It was extremely delectable, seasoned, and they don't skip out on the portions. The service was amazing, so nice and accomodating and even if you have to wait there's so much to do in town while you wait. It was well taken care of, cozy atmosphere with the fire oven right in front of you and the music was top tier country. I have gluten intolerance and indigestion so I thought ordering the garlic knots and pizza would do a number on me- headaches, bloating, cramps....I FELT BETTER THAN I HAD IN A WEEK. The first time we came it was delicious. The second and third time which was 6 months or more later had good flavor but the pizza was so greasy! I'm not sure what changed but if could get it back to less grease would still be good! Service was pretty slow when there couple weeks ago. We came in before the rush! We were absolutely bowled over by P-Town Pizza. We are frequent pizza eaters and are always on the hunt for new places to try. We came to Pawhuska for a getaway weekend and could not wait to try P-Town. So much so that we dropped off our belongings at our Airbnb and were out the door to find this place within walking distance! You do have to climb stairs if you approach this restaurant from the front and that was a problem for me because I have mobility issues. But, we did find out later that if you can climb the hill up the street in the rear, you can enter through that door instead. The food was AMAZING and the prices were incredibly reasonable. We shared Ladd's salad, a large pepperoni pizza, a triple chocolate dessert, and each had a refillable drink for under $40. Just incredible! We agreed that the pizza was the best we have had in a very long time. The thin crust was perfect and seasoned nicely and the flavors of the different types of pepperoni, cheese and sauce was just the best. The dessert for only $6 blew our minds. SO GOOD! If we lived near Pawhuska, we would probably eat here once a week - it was that good. To top it off, our server, Jasmine, was just the BEST !! We could not have asked for better. This is one of the best pizza restaurants we've been to. The employees are friendly and the environment is great. Regarding Wendy W's review, I was there the night she came in. She was extremely rude to the gentleman working behind the bar. He was professional and polite the entire time she was being hateful. I wouldn't have been able to hold my tongue. She shouldn't be allowed to come back to the establishment if she's going to treat the employees like garbage. In fact, the gentleman that works behind the bar is part of the reason we eat here. He always makes sure your orders are right and is very attentive. It's a shame petty trashy people can leave reviews as a way to try and hurt establishments and their employees. read more

I am one of likely fairly few people to visit Pawhuska without any previous familiarity with the Pioneer Woman. However, while staying in the area for a couple days on a road trip with a friend, we decided to have dinner at P-Town Pizza. We visited on a weekday in April, during a time when the TV show was not filming, and we were able to be immediately seated. As compared to the Mercantile, at which we also ate while in Pawhuska, the ambiance at P-Town Pizza is more casual and relaxed, and we observed more families dining here. My friend and I both decided on salads. At $8 each, coming from the Boston area, we expected them to be relatively small side salads. However, I cannot overemphasize how enormous these salads were -- we could have been eating them for days! I ordered the Caesar salad and was entranced by the concept of replacing croutons with full-sized garlic knots. No notes. We loved the flavored lemonade, which is available in strawberry, raspberry, or blackberry. I would also highly recommend the triple chocolate dessert jar, which was absolutely mouth-watering. My friend and I enjoyed everything we had so much that we returned the next day for a repeat! There's quite a bit of street parking immediately outside the restaurant, as well as a free parking lot just a few minutes' walk away. My one note of caution is that the entrance to P-Town Pizza is up quite a steep set of stairs, which could pose a problem for some. read more

I liked that we were immediately able to walk upstairs and grab a hightop for lunch with NO waiting. I loved the Not Knots. They were divine and I could have made a meal of these on their own. That sauce---a buttery, garlicky, Parmesan-ey heaven! Because of those Knots, we all ordered salads instead of pizza. The salads were just meh. In fact, no one at our table finished theirs. We tried the Wedge and the Italian Chopped salads. First, they were served on the same plastic "paper plates" as the pizza. Would have been better in a bowl. The dressing on the chopped salad needed some more zing. At lunch, our drinks weren't refilled. And, why the plastic cups. Seems like a lot of waste. We returned for a cocktail after shopping around downtown. We could not help but giggle at some of the cocktail names: Marg-a-REE-ta, Bloody Steer, and the ultimate laugh-fest--The Homeschooler. My friend wanted a margarita but hated to order the REE one. She did and said it was not as sweet and she was unsure about the cucumber and mint garnishes. I ordered the Grownup Cherry Limeade. It was sweet. I did enjoy it but both cocktails were strong. Only ordered one. The underaged member of our party had a Raspberry Lemonade. It looked delicious. We came on a weeknight and were seated right away. (It was a cold February night!) Everyone on the staff that interacted with us was friendly. Our server quickly came by to say hi and take our drink/appetizer order. The not knots were delicious covered in Parmesan cheese. They are crispy and light ...not doughy. Super tasty!! We ordered two pizzas, and both were delicious! The Pizza-Ree-A was light and flavorful. The All The Veggies pizza was loaded with cheese and veggies. The family ate every last bite! :) I liked the ambiance of the restaurant, too. It's located upstairs, so you do need to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the restaurant. Ambiance is nice. The place is cute. It does have a steep staircase so if you've got bad knees or elderly folks you may want to skip it. The OK: We ordered a Caesar salad which was very large. It came with a couple of the garlic not knots which were really yummy. I'd say the salad was average. Not bad but not the best I've ever had. The bad: I ordered the meat pizza. It comes with a LOT of meat. Good flavors with 3 different types of pepperoni. The crust was thin and completely undercooked. There was so much topping it could not hold the weight and just disintegrated when trying to pick it up. I ate one piece and gave up on the rest.
