I did the claybar and ceramic coating myslef but I needed to do a partial front PPF. I was referred by my brother's friend to this shop. Spoke with Scott and made a reservation. I had my car done this morning, front bumper and headlights only. Waiting wasn't long as I was the first customer at 9am, and it was done in less than 2 hours. Super clean product and installation. Scott and Sam did a great job!

Where can I start? Scott is amazing he is friendly and lighting fast with his work. From start to finish I have nothing but a compliment for his amazing work. He is the legit guy that you go to if you care about the car, no one in OC can beat him at his work. I would recommend everyone to come here and get your tint and ppf done, he will explain every little single details about the job he is about to perform.

Conflicted writing this review. 4stars for tint 2 for the clear bar on the front hood Why the conflicting stars? -overall Scott the main guy is very responsive and very friendly on the phone. 5stars great customer service!! Took my brand new Red Tesla Model 3 there when it was not even a week old after reading plenty of yelp reviews of shops in the orange area to get: -3m tint on all windows -clear bra on front, sides, door step -cost was very competitive, his pix on his site are awesome. -scott said it would take 2 biz days... no prob Note: their shop in Sep 2018 is undergoing major renovation so there was a lot of dust and construction in the front of the shop. (That should have been a red flag for me to wait to get this done). Because of all the dust. When I picked up my car a few things were a total bummer: Tint Job: All windows 35% and 1 sheet tint for the back (you dont want it to be a split sheet for the back window) 1. There was water spot overspray all over my car after the tint job -all other tint places i went to in the past..they cleaned my car after so it was like or better than when i dropped it off post tint. 2. There was white stuff that looked like dry drywall white residue on my brand new black car mats from from going in/out for the install from their shoes. -again they could have wiped that off before I picked it up.. thats just being professional. 3. The overall tint job itself was very good. Even cuts around the window, no bubbles at all. Very happy with that part. Clear Bra: 2 star. -front wrap -side doors -door steps Why 2 stars?: -they Had to do the front wrap twice (second time because I asked) -they scratched my brand new car hood all over the place 1. The day I took my car home, I turned on my garage florescent light in the evening and there was circular scratches ALL over the front hood of my brand new model 3. And it stopped right at the clear bra top. The scratched were obviously NOT there before... my car was brand freeking new. -i was super pissed -i took some pix and sent scott videos and he said to bring it in so he could buff it out. So what looks like happened is someone who cleaned my car prior and after the clear bra install had some debris all over their microfiber cloth (maybe from all the dust of their front renovation or poor washing of their application cloth?) it scratched my whole entire brand new hood. -scott said he would buff out the scratches no prob. -1hr later he said he would have to take off the clear bra, buff all scratches underneath and put on a new one. Thats what i suspected needed to happen in the first place. So I picked up the car the next day. He apologized for this and paid for my uber. Its unfortunate that this happened overall. Scott's a nice dude. I would not go back or tell friends. -i can still see some circular scratches on my hood under florescent lights... im not bringing my car back there... -This maybe a different experience for others prior to their renovation or after....

Took my car to get partial front 3M. Amazing job. Only Nobert from Crystal Auto Shields can do the clear bra wrap like these guys can. No bubbles, no particles trapped inside and the installation was flawless. Good job Scott and your team.. props!

Alright, from other reviews you'll see that Scott does awesome job. But what about after service is over and you have issues? Well that's me. After getting my clear bra and windows tinted, two weeks passed and I went to go get a car wash. After car wash, I pulled out and heard a small "clink" noise. I pulled over right away and realized that i hit a metal object on the road. Then I look at my front right bumper and saw a dime sized damage on headlight area (pix). I cried and cried inside and mad as heck for not seeing a metal object on the road. I took few photos and sent it to Scott. He called me within 10 minutes and told me to bring it in. He said the "cut" is too deep so he gave me few options. Following morning I took the car in and he went to work. He patched up the damage and put another clear bra around the damaged area. When I went to pick up my car, the damaged area looked unnoticeable!! Unless you go to inspect the car in detail, it was invisible! He did a fantastic job! And he only charged me for a small, I mean small, labor fee. Scott said he totally empathized with what happened and he would've been upset about the situation. So he wanted to help fix it. Dude, Scott!!!! You made a life time customer out of me!!! Thank you so so so much and still appreciate what you did!

When it comes to anything related with the car.. I AM picky. Very picky and I'm very much alright with that. With that said- Scott hands down is a person whom I trust, whom I can bring my car to- without hesitation at any moment when necessity arises. There are many "skilled" people and choices out there, but he is different. Special. Sincere. Responsible. Detail-oriented. So on.. You name it. Never have had an issue getting my windows tinted at this business. Quality of film tint is GREAT! I had my windows tinted on one of my previous cars at a different location before I found out about this business and was disappointed because the film that the other location used, within a couple of years it faded pretty bad. You do pay a tad bit more here BUT it's worth every penny, film won't fade in time.

*** Dude, I bought a bra last year that I wear everywhere now! *** That is what I tell all my friends. It really is the new "wonder bra". It supports, it enhances, it's sheer, it's inexpensive and it's clear. That's the best thing about it - nobody knows I'm even wearing it. So now I wear it everywhere I go, and I am damn proud of it! (lol) How much is this "wonder bra" for guys, you ask? It is just $300! Introducing the "Clear Bra" paint protection film for your beloved. It was originally made by 3M, but there are other manufacturers. Auto enthusiasts from coast to coast look for a good shop that can apply this bra technology well. Advance Auto are experts. How it works: a transparent film (like a heavy duty shrink wrap) is applied to your ride to protect it from rock chips, bugs, and tar. They apply it to which ever part that you're concerned about (like front bumper, fenders, hood, head lamps, air dam, side mirrors). Film is cut to fit car contours then applied to adhere permanently. They even sell a $10 spray-on that protects bra from UV sun rays. The result: no paint chips, easy cleaning, no touch-ups necessary. *** So fellas, get a bra and wear it well. You'll thank me later. ;p ***

Scott and his team installed paint protection film (PFF)/clear bra on my new 2020 Mazda Miata over the weekend (Full Front Package, + rocker panels + portions of rear fender/quarter panels). I shopped around extensively before deciding to go with Advance Auto Engineering. There were actually several shops around me that were much closer and similarly priced, but based on the referral from my friend (he has gotten several cars worked on by Scott), stellar online reviews, and several direct conversations with Scott, I ultimately decided it would be worth it to drive 32 miles down from Glendale to Fullerton for this job. And I am so glad I did select their shop! Their work was superb. The PPF came out excellent and you can't even tell that it's there, very impressed!! And they only use top-tier PPF... in my case they used the top-rated Xpel film. Scott and his team were very meticulous and careful with every single detail, and they went above and beyond to make sure the application was done correctly and as perfect as possible. When I brought the car to the shop, I knew I wanted to at least get the Full Frontal Package done, but wasn't 100% sure which (if any) additional parts of the car I wanted to get PPF installed on... and this is where Scott's experience and honesty shined through: he didn't try to upsell me on any products or services I didn't need... he went over all the edges and parts of the car and explained the most common areas rock chipping can occur. And as I mentioned earlier, his pricing is very very competitive... He was one of the lowest quotes i got out of the 10 or so shops I contacted. Scott delivered my finished car on the day he had promised (he gave me estimate of 1-2 days, and got my car back at end of day 2). Just like he had done in the beginning before installation, he went over every detail that they had worked on when I came to pick up car. You can tell that Scott truly cares for his customers and is passionate and knowledgeable about his craft... this is rare in ANY industry nowadays. And Scott was always responsive to my emails, texts, and calls through the process, from start to finish. PPF/clear bras can be very DIFFICULT, and it's a job that most DIY'ers (and even many professional shops) can mess up. If you live in Los Angeles/OC (or heck even outside that), you need to get the job done here with Scott. I believe it will be hard to find a shop that can do PPF as well, as efficiently, and as honestly as Scott and his crew. They stand by their work too, my PFF has 10 year warranty!

As we dropped my friend's Lexus IS off at 9:20am, Scott Kim greeted us with a smile. He's a very nice guy, honest and straightforward. He'll tell you the facts that you need to know and answers any questions fully. My friend decided to get the clear bra with coverage of 24" on the hood and fenders. The clear bra that she wanted also covers the full front bumper, fog lights, head lights, and side mirrors. We left and went to our workout class at 24 Hour Fitness in Pasadena, then had lunch at Savoy Kitchen. Scott called around 1pm and said the car was ready to be picked up. We picked up the car about a half hour later and the clear bra installation looked flawless. Scott was still getting a few small air bubbles out of the clear bra after we arrived. He really pays close attention to detail. He showed us how to take care of the clear bra. You should keep it waxed and try to wipe off any bird poop as quickly as possible because it may stain the clear bra if left on too long. Scott said not to wash the car for 3 days to let the clear bra material dry. He recommended a product called ProtectAll to keep the clear bra waxed and showed us how to use the product. Overall, a great experience with Advanced Auto Engineering. I posted a few pictures. I highly recommend Scott and his business. He was about $100 less than other quotes I received from clear bra installers. Cheers!

Scott is the best! He's done 4 of my cars (1 twice due to accident). I could not be happier with the quality workmanship and look of cars. I highly recommend getting your whole front done (whole hood, lights, mirrors, etc. Scott is so good I followed him from Alhambra where he was in business years ago. My only regret regarding clear bras is I had my 911 done at Porsche dealer and got a bad job. I should have trailered to Advanced Automotive Engineering! Thanks Scott! read more

For the past 6 years, I've brought all my cars to Scott for clear bra and window tint. His installs are always impeccable and I recommend him to people constantly. Really wish I had found him sooner, as previously I'd had some downright terrible installs done by supposedly "high-end" shops. All I can say is try Scott out. You won't regret it. read more

So glad I brought my car here to Scott, this review is long overdue! I Was referred by my friend Greg with the Orange BMW M3 in the pictures and boy do I appreciate it. After driving my dream car back from Texas last year I wanted to get some quality tint done and started looking around. A quick call and very reasonable quote and I was on my way to Advanced Auto Engineering, Scott went above and beyond and took me at closing after being booked all day. I knew I wanted 3M for their quality and after arriving and a quick check I decided to go with 3M Color Stable 5% In the back and 20% on the front doors. This was Feb 2015, a Year later and the tint work still looks flawless. Great quality work, and the only shop I can recommend when someone asks for quality work. If you love and baby your vehicles like I do, don't trust just anyone with your ride and waste your hard earned money. A month ago I brought my GT4 in for a full front and side rocker panel clear bra and tint job. Scott was awesome! He gave me a very competitive price for the Expel clear bra and nano ceramic tint. The quality of the products and installation were EXCELLENT! Scott took the time to remove certain parts, like headlamps, to properly install the film. The car was left immaculate with the film virtually undetected! I went back a couple of weeks ago to have him install 3M Crystalline on my windshield. Scott and his team are all about the details. I brought my truck in to have a XPEL clear bra done and it looks great! They also did the chrome grill which they say sometimes turns out hazy but you cant even tell its there. Scott also threw in some door edging, door cups and a custom section on the chrome plastic section of my bumper. Great clean work. read more

Scott did a great job tinting my Scion FRS. The price for the high quality 3M tint and exceptionally professional service was very reasonable. I decided on a 20% tint percentage on all of my car windows and I could not be more impressed with the results. I waited about 3 hours for my car, but the reception area has free wifi and a TV playing recent movies so it wasn't an unbearable wait. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to have work done on their vehicle and look forward to returning to have clear bra installed on my car! read more

A couple of months ago I bought an Audi A5. I want to keep it looking good for as long as I can so I wanted a clear bra to protect the low front end. I had on on my Lexus and it really helps. I lucked up on the AAE website and call the owner Scott. This guy is the "bomb" he patiently installed the bra on my car in about 3 hours and I am 120% satisfied with the service, installation and Scott's professionalism (plus he is not a bad drummer) So if you need a clear bra......Advance Auto Engineering is the spot!!! read more

I just got my Clear-Bra done (yeah it sounds funny) yesterday. Scott was able to beat the cheapest price quote that I got from other local places and did a top notch work. No upselling, just plain and simple friendly experience. Definitely not one of those places that tries to milk out every penny off you, more of a word-of-mouth (or yelp) place that is hidden in commercial business park. I would have got my tint done if I knew about this place. Call him up and ask for a cash price, he will hook you up. read more

Came here to get my windows tinted because of the high rating. Also, helps that I live really close. Scott is a cool guy and really cares about the quality of his work. He takes a long time but only because he does things properly. I've since gone back to get my mom's car tinted and referred a couple of friends. No problems with any of the tint jobs. Prices are reasonable and competitive. I have previously used California Tint in Rosemead and I like Scott better. Make an appointment and I suggest having a friend pick you up so you dont have to wait there. read more

I usually don't post reviews unless it is really beyond my expectation. I wish I could give 10 stars to Scott. I had Xpel Ultimate full frontal clip and 3M Crystalline 70 front windshield on my 2015 Lexus RX350 yesterday. Scott's work and customer service are second to none. He is super friendly and the price is great. He makes you feel like part of the family. I was there all day yesterday so I was able to see his workmanship. Wow...he is such a perfectionist. Also, his staff Rafael, Dan and Thomas were all very professional as well. He has definitely earned my business for life. I can't wait to bring my next car here. I only wish I had extra money so he could do the whole car. LOL. PS. He even offered me carne asada for lunch. read more

ive been going to scott for the past 12-14 years. ive followed him from 3-4 different shop moves to where he is now. he's probably clear bra'd and tinted at least 6-7 cars for me in that time. every time i buy a car, its straight to AAE. i dont trust anyone else to work on my cars. read more

Originally from the East Coast and now living in Newport Beach. I never had to window tint my car but now, it's a must. Not only does it help with the heat but it changes the look of the car night and day! With that said, I did some heavy research for the right company to do the tints on my Honda Civic Sedan EX-L 2013. Since this was my first time, I was a little worried on how it would turn out. I based my decision for choosing AAE for the communication and professionalism Scott provided me prior to even bringing my car for service. He was very professional and very responsive. He always returned my calls and answered all my questions. This allowed me to bring my car in person for him to provide me more information in person. Once I was there, I was ready to get the tints. The job took 2 - 2.5 hours to get the job done. I decided to wait in his lobby while the job was complete. His lobby was amazing as he had DVD's of some great movies, I enjoyed my breakfast there, and brought my work with me while I connected via my hotspot. Overall, this place was amazing and very comforting. Scott offered me water, his fridge to put my lunch = simply, Scott and his crew just provide amazing hospitality! Lastly, I would like to point out his pricing. By far the best price after shopping around. He beat all competitors and by far had the best customer service! I will recommend any friends, family, and will be bringing any of my future vehicles to Scott. read more

Scott was very nice each time I called to ask questions and reschedule. All in all, called 4-5 times before I even showed up and he was great. When I got to the shop he was very courteous and allowed me to add on many extras that we didn't even discuss over the phone. I had my 2015 Lexus IS350 front bumper, mirrors and headlights all covered with XPEL clear bra and Scott was the best deal I could find. I plan to go back for window tint and more clear bra. Just picked up my 2016 RAV4 having Clear Bra Xpel Ultimate installed on the front and headlights. It looked GREAT and was pleasantly surprised that they also did my fog lights at no extra charge! When initially quoting, Scott gave a very competitive price and answered all my questions. He was always responsive when I contacted him. At the shop, all the workers were very friendly and caring toward myself, wife and vehicle. Why go anywhere else for tinting or protective film needs. read more

I just had paint protection films and tint on my new Prius V on Monday. Even though Scott's shop was closed, he came into accommodate my schedule. He applied 3M films and tinted windows. He was like an artist, did an imaging job. He passed my inspection with flying colors; I am a perfectionist. My Prius V looks perfect. I highly recommend Scott without any reservation. read more

Everytime I buy a car..I am taking it to Scott. I am his customer since he was in Alhambra. He has contract with many auto dealers to tint those new cars at dealership. That means he is doing original factory quality work. Everytime when I visit his shop he is working on those super cars for rich people. I believe he has many good old customers. If you are looking for a high quality tint with amazing skills, look no further! I am a VERY picky girl with OCD problem, I swear I can see imperfections at any level. Scott and his team are amazing! They really understand what they're doing and will make you happy. Highly recommend the ceramic tint, worth every penny. Really good job guys. As it turned out they were mobile in my area doing some exotic work for Auto Gallery, so they actually made a house call. They worked quickly, did a nice job and the clear bra has not discolored or bubbled (6 months on a white car). Beats painting and now I don't worry about going to Vegas and getting the front of my car all tore up from high speed desert driving. read more

Scott and his crew were amazing. Dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up the same day. 3m tint all around the car, clear bra on all over the car. Honestly, the detail work that him and his crew did are FLAWLESS. I've done many research but I just had to come here and check this guy out. I drove from ktown low Angeles just to get to see his work and it was definitely worth it. I ll never get my cars done anywhere else but here. You just got a life time customer. My wife and I could never quite understand why Honda didn't tint the front driver and passenger door windows to match those in the rear of our 2015 CRV so we decided to have those windows tinted to match. After making some inquiries at several other shops I contacted Scott, he gave me what I thought was a good price and I went and had those windows tinted to match the rest of the car. Not recommended at all. I called Scott the owner a few months ago to come and replace my car's rear window, he assured me the glass was new and because it was cheaper than other places I asked specially if it is new and if the defroster is working and he assured me of that. He sent over some guys of a glass repair shop from Arcadia?!(Which I realized it when I checked the bill latter) they replace it in 15 minutes! they didn't even clean broken glasses (They told their vacuum is broken) and left some glasses inside the door and even now when I open the trunk door I can hear broken glasses inside the door. After about one month which was raining I tried to turn the defroster on but it didn't work. I called him and after questioning me that why I didn't call him sooner he sent me over to that shop in Arcadia. They took a look at it and told the glass is ok and maybe the wires have problem because it was raining on that day! Anyway they told that I have to bring the car during weekday and show it to the shop next door in order to find wire problems. I didn't trust them any more because everything like windshield wiper, lights and lock were working very well. I didn't bother to go there again or call them but I hope this review help others do not make the mistakes I made. read more

I have been thinking about getting the "clear bra" installed on our new BMW Sports Wagon and started to check out what the various installers would charge. I started by looking at 3M's website for authorized applicators and called several for a quote. One said they wanted over $600 for the standard job and another said $595. The trouble with going to either of these applicators was that I did not know whether they would do a good job. Then it occurred to me to look for reviews in Yelp.com. I found that Advance Auto Engineering got several very favorable reviews. So my wife and I went to their shop and talked to Scott Kim, who gave us a quote of $480 for coverage of the front bumper and about a third of the hood (the leading edge that would be most likely to be hit by pebbles and rocks and the leading edge of the fenders. This quote was about $100 less than the other quotes. I asked about the cost of covering the side mirrors, the door edges and the top of the rear bumper to protect it from scratches that might occur loading or unloading things from the back of the wagon. Scott said that it would cost $60 more bringing the total to $540 out the door. We brought the car in yesterday and picked it up 4 hours later with the job having been done meticulously. Scott instructed us on how to care for the paint protection film and gave us a can of Protect All wax and UV protection. I had 3M ScotchGard paint protection film applied to my '06 Prius 4 years ago and had been very satisfied with the protection that ScotchGard had done. Scott had done a beautiful job installing ScotchGard to my BMW and would highly recommend Scott Kim and the crew at Advance Auto Engineering to any one who wants to have a "clear bra" installed on his/her car. read more

When I found Scott, I had just bought a brand new Mazda3 and wanted to tint all six windows as well as a clear protective film on the front bumper. Not only did he quote me for an amazing price but he threw in the side mirrors, door cups, and part of the side faring. I was so impressed with his work that I brought him my two motorcycles. With all of the curves and hard edges on the gas tank and saddlebags, the work was still flawless. Best of all, he completes his work in a timely manner. I unfortunately got into an accident heading up to Pasadena on my motorcycle, which left one saddlebag with some scratches. After having it repaired in Pasadena, Scott was actually willing to make the trip to the repair shop from Cerritos where he is located just to cover my saddlebag. His customer service, quality of work, and reliability is the best there is. read more
