It's tender, juicy, and so flavorful that I could eat it by itself. One thing that makes this truck even better: it's family-run. The daughter (super sweet!) takes the orders while her dad and another family member cook. While we were ordering, her dad asked if we wanted to try their birria taco--and the wild part is my friend and I had literally just been talking about trying birria. So of course we said yes. The clerk working the store was very friendly and offered me a sample as soon as I walked up. My concern was whether it would be crunchy-hard, since I've had empanadas in the past that were hard. I'm not a fan of hard foods (looking at you banh mi) - but the clerk noted they were all soft and the sample proved that. I ordered a Mushroom ($4), Chicken ($4) and Beef Steak ($5) - each empanada was perfectly portioned, slightly crunchy/golden brown on the outside, but soft and doughy on the inside, with generous fillings. These taste similar to the chalupas you can get at Taco Bell (just better quality). The mushroom was probably my favorite one - with chunks of mushroom in a nice, cheesy blend. Each bite was perfect - and the melted cheese texture also complimented the meatless option. The quality of the chicken filling wasn't the best - it reminded me of a Hot Pocket - was forgettable as the bits were dry and flavorless. The beef steak option was great - full of chunks of beef steak, onions, tomatoes and some sort of salsa sauce inside. It made each bite full of flavor and delicious. The clerk gave me two containers of the green sauce - which is the perfect compliment to the empanadas - not too spicy, mild but with just enough of a kick to it. Be sure to ask for these instead of jalapenos. The food stand took cash and had a sign that indicated they accept credit cards as well. Prices are reasonable for the quality, portion size and fillings of the food.

Some of the Vendors ~ Super Nitro cold brew ...the best I've tasted. And love that it doesn't taste overly strong. The coffee flavor was on point. Associate lady helping assist is really sweet. ~ Dancing Crow Vineyard ...had free wine tasting for about 6 diff wines they offer from their vineyard. Very informative along not pushy trying to get your sales. Love that about them. Gentle man serving the wine was educational. Enjoy his personality along w great knowledge about the wine. ~ Le Saint Homore ...pastries were really yum. Their Nutella pastry croissant filled are their best seller. They had creme brulee cups for $ 8. Vendors are all so friendly and have some pretty awesome varieties of vendors. Fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, tamales, bbq sticks and so much more. Fruits, veggies were fresh and it's a nice clean farmers market. With welcoming faces. Lots of parking available.

Not having been to many farmers' markets, this one seems small, but it's nicely laid out and has a variety of vendors. The market has a fun and casual vibe. Not sure how often they're there, but Cousin's Maine Lobster food truck was there today. Some of the vendors I noticed include a crotchet booth, Asian chili oil table, a few sourdough vendors (even a gluten free & vegan one), fresh produce, one that specializes in mushrooms, a couple of dog treat vendors, a Scentsy display, and even a vintner. Today I stopped by Katrina's Wild Flour micro bakery and picked up a rosemary/parmesan sourdough boule and a cheesy sourdough focaccia. Both are delicious and Katrina, the vendor, let me know that she rotates her boule flavors, so I'll have to come try those soon. Next stop, Tigre Supreme, that features beef jerky and dehydrated fruit. Picked up some cinnamon pears that I'm excited to try. Last but definitely not least, we visited Fresco Pasta, where Francesco was happy to tell us about the various pastas, cheeses, and meats they offer. Everything looked fresh and delicious, but today I only picked up some smoked Gouda (which was AMZING with the sourdough!!). The time we spent browsing at all the vendor's wares was enjoyable. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Samples were offered without feeling pressured to make a purchase.
