Teachers can help you on a range of subjects specializing in math and English. The center is great, with a lot of computers here for research and board games make you think and use your brain. The price here is also relatively low. Definitely recommend this place.

My child has continuing his education in PHD right after his MS degree. As a veteran Kumon parent, I give all these Honors/ Credits to Sunset Kumon. I know with growing up in Kumon, my child wont be the same child I have today. My Son had great learning period in Kumon. Director Joseph and staff of Sunset Kumon know my child's learning level in both English and Math. The smiles and encouraging words from Joseph and Staffs are surely heart warming when my son attended Kumon. Kumon also taught my child how to be a responsible child/ student; how to prepare himself to be ready to intergrade himself toward educational, sports and musical instrument of more. However, now I know more about psychology and child development, and I think the institution is incorrigible. Of course there are some better and some worse teachers. I'm very happy that the Muellers are gone. I've come to realize that the school was complicit in the complex trauma that has left me a bit of a wreck. They wanted to be supportive, and my family had obvious health crises that the school supported us through, but even when my family was working well it was a psychologically damaging family. The LCMS church doctrine is that being psychologically damaging is actually a correct use of the Bible, so the teachers wrote me off as "weird" and left me to suffer. The staff have turned over, and the new staff I'm sure are better than the Boomers who taught me, but the whole draw of the institution is the segregationist education. I can see it in the product. The academic material continues to be more rigorous than what the public schools use. However, the children grow into monsters. (Not every child, but more often than public school, controlling for income.) They don't respect consent (the LCMS church doctrine is that there is no consent--look it up), they don't care about others' safety, and they don't necessarily learn the rigorous academic material. Also, they still require those stupid uniforms that Carolyn Grundt instituted in the wake of the Columbine school shooting. I hate those uniforms.

Mr. Jacob was our history, and German teacher. In class one day, he said, "Class, who knows what Italy looks like?" The correct answer i think was a boot. But me, being the wise ass i was, said "It looks like its kicking Sicily's BUTT!!!" got big laughs, but Mr. Jacob didn't think that was funny... got sent to the principals office. Then i remember in 8th grade, i drew a picture of a sperm and wrote someones name in it, and even autographed it and dated it. We had to take a test and put it under our desk, so the teacher (Mr. Jacob) thought it was a cheat sheet and took it. He looked at it and then glared at me! Huh-larious. I remember i got a double detention for throwing food over the fence. Haha... This was a good campus, at least i thought it was. Havent been there in many many years. Class of 95, but hey, i guess that was a good school because it instilled in me some of the morals which i still have to this day.
