I had not tried Pachanga Arepa even though I drive by it regularly. Well, I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Reina Pepiada and a maracuya juice. The Reina was perfect with plenty of avocado. I also had the maracuya juice - it was made to order with less sugar. I would just go back for this juice: tasty and refreshing! Friendly staff! Plenty of parking. Food was okay. It didn't have much flavor . We had cachapa and pabellón plate . Cachapa felt reheated ( wasn't freshly poured) and the pabellón honestly felt like it had no seasoning at all . If you are truly Venezuelan or have been around a lot of Venezuelan food , this food is not where you want to go if you want authentic Venezuelan food . The server was amicable but she also never really tended to us and we were the only ones there and never came to get the check . The restaurant was clean and well of course had salsa music playing . Would not recommend if you want authentic food . Plus for the chachapa, the pabellón and two canned drinks the total came to $35.81. A little pricey for the portion . This is one of our favorite places for Latin food. The pachangas and patacon are always hot and filled to the brim with cheesy meaty goodness! The arepas are toasty and fresh. For the $17.95 price I paid for a Bandeja Paisa it was absolutely not worth it. Tiny chicharrón, tasteless beans, very little rice, and my plantains weren't cooked all the way through. Oh and my arepa was fried in old oil. Would not recommend eating here. read more

What an exciting evening! My wife & I have never really had the chance to venture into Venezuelan & Colombian food. So tonight was our first try & all I can say is viva Pachanga Arepa! We of course are unable to compare this to other similar food, since we've never had this before. That being said, this food was so tasty, so fun to try, & seemed to be so authentic. I ordered the sampler plate & was 100% happy, happy, happy. It came with things I can't pronounce (sorry I only know English, some French, & Hebrew). The waitress described everything, & when it arrived it delivered. I could taste the deep corn flavor in the flour mix of the arepas. Each item on the generous sampler plate ($10.99) tasted fresh & just made at that moment. The cheeses, & fillings, & flavors hit the spot. When the waitress came by to check on us I asked if they had any sauce they use that is a little spicy. She brought out a tiny container that I believe she called aji. It became the star of my dinner. The dinner was already great, but I'm telling you that sauce brought everything it touched to new heights. I'm already looking forward to my return visit. read more

Born and raised in Venezuela: This place reminds me home. I only ate their arepas, their beef and chicken arepas with "pico de gallo" are delicious and not too salty (which I liked) food is fresh and healthy with great Venezuelan flavor. Highly recommended this hidden gem in Clearwater. We needed a place like this desperately. Service is good and very attentive with lots of smiles I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did. Stopped in for a latish lunch on Sunday. I ordered the Paisa arepa and he ordered the Pachanga arepa. We also ordered 5 empanadas, both chicken and queso. The paisa had huge chunks of plantain and link style chorizo. The Pachanga had cilantro and the steak was delicious. A nice fresh chopped pico is included. The waitress was very friendly. The child playing his game in the corner was well mannered and quiet. The entire place was clean. They cleaned the table just before we were seated. We do love this place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but if you are craving Venezuelan or Colombian food, don't let appearances fool you. This place is the real deal, and very, very craveable. Our favorites are the Pabellon arepas and chicha, but the sampler platter is none to shabby either. Everything we have ordered has been super fresh and made to order. Never had a single complaint about the food, and we order here at least once a week.Folks that run this place are salt of the earth too. You won't be sorry if you give them a try. I really dislike writing bad reviews to mom&pop shops but the 5 stars this place has is inaccurate. I am extremely huge on Arepas and tequeños and I literally drove from Downtown St. Pete to Clearwater specifically because this place had a good review and because this was the only arepa place opened at 8pm. I've had many arepas, and this was the worst I've had. Didnt taste like it was seasoned, the corn masa was the worst part, soggy and not made nearly anywhere near what an arepa should be or taste like. I came here a year ago and the food was OUTSTANDING. Decided to come back and WOW was I disappointed. This place seems to have been bought out by a completely different nationality. The food was deplorable, service was terrible. I ordered the traditional hotdog which consists of bacon, hotdog, potato chips, coleslaw, corn and cheeses. The waiter bring me hotdog with ketchup sprinkled corn and 3 full size potato chips. I thought it was a joke. Mind you, I'm Colombian therefore I know what to expect. I tell him "sir, this is not what I ordered, it's missing half the ingredients " he goes "let me take it back"... he comes back and goes "well nobody likes coleslaw in their hotdog so we stopped putting coleslaw " soooooo....??? Did you forget to mention that you don't put the coleslaw, bacon and cheeses? So he's like "do you want something else, I can put the order in now." So I asked "how about the appetizer that we ordered?" He goes "oh, I forgot"... GREAT. Anyway I REFUSED to order anything else. My husband ordered the fried plantain with shredded meats and salad, another joke. It's supposed to be fried GREEN plantain which is crunchy and salty. They gave him fried yellow plantain which is sweet and completely opposite in flavor. He said it was disgusting. Overall extremely disappointing, so sad this place is being ran this way after such a good reputation. I was looking for some Latin food for lunch. Googled the nearest place and Pachanga Arepa came up. Almost drove right by it. It's a little hole in the wall but the place was very clean and the service was very nice. I order the Pachanga meat platter and it had Steak, Chicken, sausage, Morcilla (blood sausage) yellow potatoes and French fries. It was delicious. My wife had the cheese burger and fries and she loved it. I will visit again soon tot try some tropical smoothies. read more
