This is one of our favorite places for Latin food. The pachangas and patacon are always hot and filled to the brim with cheesy meaty goodness! The arepas are toasty and fresh. All of meats are always fresh and well seasoned. We really have never had anything that wasn't good or fresh here. Don't know what to have for dinner? Want something different? Craving good Latin flavors?Pachenga Arepa it is! We will return over and over again to this location for the quality yummy food. Go eat here!

Casual place with some indoor and outdoor seating. Variety of Arepa styles. Food comes with garlic sauce and garlic tomato sauce on the side to the table. Tried the Pachanga arepa chicken (chicken, cheese, tomato, avocado) savory and Pabellón (shredded beef, black beans, cheese, and sweet plantains). Both were delicious.

Soooooo good!! My son and I discovered this place completely by accident and I'm so glad we did. The place is spotless, service is prompt and the food is authentic and delicious. Everything I've tried is good. Also, get yourself a frozen (congelada) guanabana drink. So creamy!

I got a stuffed arepa and it was sooo good! We also got salchipapas which is super unhealthy but equally delicious. This is a cute little place where you see is what you get. Small business family vibe - authentic and yummy. Not the best place for a large party but perfect for takeout or a one on one cheat meal date.

    The quaint interior.

What an exciting evening! My wife & I have never really had the chance to venture into Venezuelan & Colombian food. So tonight was our first try & all I can say is viva Pachanga Arepa! We of course are unable to compare this to other similar food, since we've never had this before. That being said, this food was so tasty, so fun to try, & seemed to be so authentic. I ordered the sampler plate & was 100% happy, happy, happy. It came with things I can't pronounce (sorry I only know English, some French, & Hebrew). The waitress described everything, & when it arrived it delivered. I could taste the deep corn flavor in the flour mix of the arepas. Each item on the generous sampler plate ($10.99) tasted fresh & just made at that moment. The cheeses, & fillings, & flavors hit the spot. When the waitress came by to check on us I asked if they had any sauce they use that is a little spicy. She brought out a tiny container that I believe she called aji. It became the star of my dinner. The dinner was already great, but I'm telling you that sauce brought everything it touched to new heights. I'm already looking forward to my return visit.

Loved this little spot! Liked the little chunks of corn in the arepa. Great authentic food with even better customer service.

After looking at reviews on Yelp, we decided to check out Alma Llanera in St Pete. We made the drive and were welcomed when we walked in. They have a great overall selection on their menu, a variety of authentic Venezuelan dishes you can dig in to. Really, we were craving empanadas - but we are eager to try more dishes next time. We ordered three carne mechada empanadas (shredded beef hand pies), one cheese empanada, and two mora natural juices. Each orderaccompanied with a side of their house sauces that compliment the natural on-going flavors of the empanda - a creamy, white garlic sauce (salsa de ajo) and a cilantro based sauce (salsa de cilantro). The moment you sink you teeth into their empanadas, you're brought to a whole new world - A country called Venezuela! You are instantly met were explosive delicious flavors. The outter shell of the empanada has this savory, with a slight hint of sweet flavor. The inner part is stuffed with tender, satuéed shredded beef, you can taste the amazing flavors of the sofrito based meat. I would recommend anyone, someone who has yet to try this place to someone who eats empanadas on a daily basis, to come on and give them a whirl. It's a must try!

While taking a look of the menu, she mentioned again about not taking too long to order because the kitchen was closing soon, this was not even 5 min after giving us the menu ( if you are rushing to close just don't take more people and avoid having a bad attitude or experience ). Food 7 of 10 ( Venezuelan bbq was really good and tasty chorizos were delicious, sides were really well Cooked and flavory, Brazilian picanha was cooked perfect, chimichurri sauce was perfect but amount was very little, and cachapas were the weakest point.. cachapa had an old or musty aftertaste definitely horrible won't recommend it. Price is reasonable, first Venezuelan restaurant that I don't feel is overpriced ( 2 cachapas, 1 picanha 12 oz $52 ) As a former server.. please teach or do training sessions with servers to increase quality and positive outcomes. Food has a huge potential but experiences is what people take at the end of the day!
