SCAMMER, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL & ILLEGAL. I searched Yelp and contacted Pacheco Beauty for lash extensions, as I wanted to keep business in my home town of Newbury Park, if possible. She replied to my voicemail 4-5 days later by text (prior, I had began to think it wasn't a legit business due to no response and only the phone number being recited for leaving a message). I ended up getting my lashes done elsewhere, before she had replied to my voice message. I liked the girl I had gone to prior, but again, if I could do my business in my town, that was my goal - so I made a 'lash fill' appt with Sara at Pacheco Beauty. We came up with a date that worked and after texting about pricing and confirming the date, she mentions her '30% retainer' for new clients is non refundable for cancellations. Yes, I assumed the usual 24-48 hours of cancellation which is usual and could understand not wanting a client to flake last minute, etc. - even though it seemed weird, as it's not like she's an attorney office or something. I moved forward with making the appointment and sent her my $45 through Zelle, as she requested. Within a few days of setting the appt, I let her know the lashes are not turning out to be a thing I was to continue pursuing (they come off when you sleep, you have to use a specific wash, etc - too high maintenance for me), so I cancelled my appointment and requested my $45 to be returned. Note; this is still a full week out from the appt I made and only a few days after it was confirmed - more than ample notice. Sara rejects my request for returning my $45. From there, we go back and forth where she starts labeling me for bad character, blaming me for not supporting the suffering of small businesses during a pandemic, its my fault she has already lost money, as she turned away larger business than mine for that appt slot, and it's MY fault that she has to go to the bank and waste her time on me, and on and on. I remained as professional as possible and stuck to my golden rule to not say anything if there's nothing nice to say and I let her know I was doing that, as I could've said MANY bad things in return. Then she states that apparently, I need the money more than her so she'll return it. I STILL have NOT received the refund of my $45, which takes seconds to do on Zelle/Chase! FURTHER - I start researching her business "Pacheco Beauty" (PB) online. 1) PB is NOT a legitimate business entity in Ventura County. 2) PB's business license expired in 2019 and has been delinquent since. Sara Pacheco may do decent work for people; at least as it appears on her website. But, after my experience, out of principle alone, I would NEVER do business there going forward. She is a shady owner, unethical, unprofessional and is and has been for 3 years operating illegally! I urge you to not fall in to the hands of a scammer! read more

Once she did the full makeup reveal, I literally screamed, cried and gave her a big hug! It was quite comical but I was so overjoyed at how amazing my makeup came out. I wanted full glam, and she gave me FULL GLAM! We had a party of 12 women, so you can imagine how stressful that can be. There were a few hiccups (on the wedding party side) but Sara and her team handled it very professionally. They also allowed extra time for touch-ups and if anyone ran late. Unfortunately I have to give a negative review here as I'm incredibly disappointed with the level of professionalism. This has nothing to do with the makeup, as I never got that far (from photos it looks like she does a great job). This is a review based on the fact that I reached out inquiring about availability and got an immediate response saying she was free and looking forward to working with me...so I put other vendors on hold as I was really wanting to work with her. Well that was a mistake as there have been 6 unanswered emails, spanning over 10 days. Haven't been able to get a response from her at all on the phone, social media anything. She completely ghosted me and stopped responding for seemingly no reason. I am SHOCKED by this lack of professionalism from a major company. We had about 10 people looking to do bridal services and we will now be taken the business elsewhere. If you weren't available or your schedule had changed, that's completely fine, but I would at least expect a response in some capacity. I understand people get busy, but a quick email saying she was busy, out, etc and would get back to me soon would have sufficed. I'm not sure if maybe she is out of business and suddenly not doing makeup anymore, but as stated above, thought it warranted a review to potentially warn people that this may happen to you. read more
