When contacting Terry, ensure that you are specific with your request. If you want the holes/nails from the garage walls to be filled, then let him know. Also, if you would like a clear coat on the epoxy, then that should also be specified. Terry is a hard working man even though he is retired. His Yelp page states San Mateo but he actually lives in the South Bay Area. He is able to travel to all cities in the Bay Area. Hard working man and always arrives early. Terry Pacheco (510 331 3601) is the worst and a scammer don't waste your time and energy on him. He came initially to assess our garage for epoxy and paint and gave me a reasonable quote and date he was available to work on. As the date approached and their was no communication from him, I reached out to confirm we were still on track for the date decided, after multiple attempts to connect (phone calls and texts) he simply said he is not available on the committed date anymore and gave a date which was 1 month out. At that point we decided to find other contractors and then he called and insisted on getting it done on the new date and we made the mistake of deciding to go with him again. Just to make sure we didn't end up in the same situation, I asked him to come and take his advance and get the paperwork done so we have a final date. He again didn't show up and didn't respond to messages and calls and when I called from a different number he picked up right away and said he cannot come today and had no answer for not responding to my messages or not informing me in advance. On top of it, he said the date that he gave is now not available and he can only do on a later date that was again 2 weeks after the revised date he gave. On asking why there has been so much confusion, he said that the only date he is available on now and if I want it get done sooner I can find some other contractor. I had an extremely unprofessional experience with Terry. It started well - I contacted him about an exterior painting job, he came and took a look, gave me a reasonable quote, then said he'd schedule me in a few weeks. A few weeks came and went and I heard nothing, so I contacted him to set a specific date. We agreed on a Saturday a few weeks away. I bought the paint he requested and cleared my calendar for that day. I contacted Terry three days before the scheduled appointment just to ensure we were still good to go, and he assured me he would be there. The night before the appointment, at 8pm get called to say he had another job that was running over and wouldn't be able to make it after all. I was disappointed because I had rearranged my schedule, but he promised he would be there in Sunday instead. Once again on this time on saturday night, Terry called me to tell me he wouldn't be coming. I told him that this was extremely unprofessional and that I would agree to one more reschedule, for the next weekend, and we agreed he would be there at 8:30am. As you can probably guess at this point, 8:30am came and went without any contact from Terry, and no response to my texts or phone calls.
