OJ Tile did a fantastic job on our shower floor rebuild after our shower pan leaked into our dining room below. We're very happy with the work as our new shower looks and feels amazing (we changed it up a bit.) Additionally, Otto and his team were very responsive to our calls & emails and were professional in all aspects of their approach.

OJ Tile and Granite did a fantastic job fabricating and installing our porcelain countertops. The material we used is a marble-looking porcelain which requires extra work on all of the edging to ensure the design/image looks as if it is natural and transitions over the edges; they managed this flawlessly. The crew and the administrative team were very professional and easy to communicate with, and I appreciate that they gave the opportunity to review and approve the templates prior to fabricating the materials. We are very pleased with the end product and would highly recommend using OJ Tile, especially for something unique like fabricating a porcelain countertop (not too commonly done as compared to marbles, quartz, etc).

We had a first-rate experience with the entire team at OJ Tile. From my initial phone consultation with Antoinette, I really felt comfortable having our expensive stone refinished by their team. Antoinette provided knowledgeable expertise, arming us with the information to choose our desired path. She gives the pros and cons and attentively answered all of our questions over calls and emails (and there were so many). With our clients exceptionally pleased with the result, we HIGHLY recommend the professional team at OJ Tile and we give our highest marks to Antoinette, who provided exceptional customer service. Thank you and happy new year!

Matching the backsplash with the counter - Thanks Rudy!

I put off changing our 1980's tile kitchen countertops for years because we just didn't want to deal with problems, underestimates, work not done, etc. We have never had a house project go smoothly UNTIL OJ Tile and Granite. A friend recommended this company to replace all of our rather extensive kitchen countertops and backsplash with Quartz countertops. From the moment Otto walked in the door and efficiently told me everything that would happen, how long it would take and who would do what, I felt confident that maybe it would be ok. And the very detailed estimate (which was exactly what we were charged). Just the talk of "demolition" is scary! Kathy (the more than competent office manager) kept track of everything and called regularly to tell me the schedule, when to pay an invoice, who would be there and when. The whole process takes almost a month. Demolition is first and was done so quickly, efficiently and with practically no dust residue. They put up plastic sheets to trap the dust in the kitchen. Seriously 1 day to remove masses of tile and grout and clean it up. It was remarkable and the team was on-time, careful, nice and just good at what they do. All while we were also having a major plumbing leak repaired. Next came the template team - also, on time, efficient, nice and very thorough asking questions when necessary about how we could do things, where the seams should be, etc. (NOT that one can even find the seams - their work is so incredibly good!). Next came a visit to their showroom/fabrication center in Belmont where they brought out all the templates and had me pick the spots on the large quartz slabs I would like for each of the counters and how that would go with the backsplash. Rudy was remarkable and I was grateful for his guidance. It takes a couple of weeks to cut and polish the slabs and yes - you are living with a plywood kitchen for a bit. Not a problem. Then installation - that took 1 1/2 days and was the most amazing thing to watch. These slabs weigh a LOT and this team came in, put them in quickly, efficiently and clearly took pride in their work. It is remarkable how incredibly perfect everything is. I could have cried when I saw one of the guys carefully rubbing out a smudge on the perfect counter. Otto even recommended the MOST amazing handyman to do all the "other stuff" - connecting the new stove top (not easy - a Jennair downdraft gas cooktop), reworking the plumbing for the new sink and doing a lot of wall repair caused by the plumbing leak we were dealing with (but that is a separate review). We are 100% confident that this company is unsurpassable in quality of work. I would never go anywhere else (especially when it comes time to redo those 1980's bathrooms!).

    Infinity edges

If I could give OJ 10 stars out of 5, I would. We purchased 3 slabs of Bianco quartzite from DaVinci, and OJ fabricated our kitchen counters and a bathroom vanity for us. Pricing: Their pricing was completely transparent and very fair. OJ conducts business with honesty and integrity. Quality: The quality of their work is excellent. The infinity edges were beautiful, and the seams were practically invisible. Quartzite is very hard yet shatters easily. This expensive and hard to replace material was to be trusted only with a craftsman like Otto. Project management: We absolutely adored Antoinette. She is extremely intelligent, organized, and knowledgeable. She kept the project on track and ensured efficiency and accuracy at every step. OJ is my forever tile and granite business. No need to ever shop around again!

OJ Tile and Granite was by far the most professional team we have had working in our home. Office manager helped coordinate the calendar, the invoicing, receiving of slab and tile. OJ and his team showed up every morning on time. They were very careful to protect our floors and minimize dust. OJ made several recommendations and knew how to showcase the tile work. They also fabricated the vanity slab. He coordinated the plumber and cabinet maker. In addition located a painter for the project. His team really did an excellent job. We are so happy with their work and our experience. They were recommended to us by DaVinci Tile and Marble. I look forward to other projects with them.

Beautiful tile installation on a 440 foot back deck
    Laura D.

We had a large and very difficult tiling project, with over 400 exterior square feet, using a large 12 by 24 tile, with small spacing of 1/16 of an inch. Nery and his team did an excellent job navigating 2 slopes for drainage, and a deck that was 2 inches shorter on one end than the other. Also, they created a beautiful endcap for the tiling, even though it was underneath the deck and not visible. Nery personally inspected the deck upon completion to make sure that the job was completed to his high standards. I would highly recommend them for any tiling job, great guys that did great work, completed ahead of schedule and above our highest expectations.

Our installation crew and the beautiful granite countertop

We enjoyed our experience w OJ Tile. The granite countertop remnant saved us $ over a larger piece and was well fabricated and installed. The leather like surface is very nice also. Thank you OJ Tile.

This is a very delayed review- I had my hardwood floors redone by Peninsula Floors last year, but I…read morestill find myself thinking about the experience so I decided it might be helpful to others to share. The bottom line is that the bulk of the work was good, I'm overall satisfied with the results, and am glad that we got the floors refinished. However, there were several details about the experience that would make me hesitate to recommend Peninsula to friends or others looking to redo their floors. - I was initially quoted ~7-8 working days to redo the floors. The initial work actually took closer to 13 working days, and it took another 7 working days on top of that to complete followup items after I reviewed the initial work. To be fair, I was traveling for about 5 of those working days during some of the initial work and probably caused a bit of delay in my own responses being slow, but I also don't think that all of the delay was due to myself. - When provided stain samples, I was initially provided the wrong names corresponding to the samples. This was only noticed because I asked for another set of samples in another area of the house and was confused as to why the colors varied so much, and asked about it- otherwise it's very possible I would have selected a completely different color than what I intended. - There was some damage done by the sander to our metal stair railing, which they did patch up with paint, but it's still visible where the damage was. Also, initially only some of the stairs in the home had the scotia trim replaced- when I asked the ones where the previous paint clearly showed they also used to have trim, they just added it to all of the stairs regardless of which ones did or didn't have it before. There was also a tricky area in a closet that I said I would be okay not refinishing, and instead it was sanded but not refinished due to not being able to get into that area- I would have just preferred the initial topcoat wasn't removed in that case, because that area is now just unprotected wood. None of these details were mentioned to me or provided as project updates until I asked about them. - Lastly, after I had sent the final payment through, I realized some of our doorstops were missing after having been removed from the trim to not get in the way of the sanders. I asked where the team may have left them so I could reattach them and got no response. It's not a big deal, they were less than $5, but later, after moving in, I also asked about if there were cleaning/maintenance products they would recommend and also got no response. Being completely ghosted after having dealt with some of the difficulties mentioned above really left me feeling like they totally wrote me off as a customer and was not a pleasant way to end the project. I think they do decent work, but I suspect they're a bit stretched thin and smaller/less important jobs are not supervised as much and don't seem like they have the same quality bar. If I were to do it again, I feel like I would have been happier supervising more closely from the start. Edit- I appreciate Juan's response (below and privately), however I do want to make clear that not everything was addressed as I was told they would be. For example, for the incompletely sanded and unfinished area of the closet I mentioned above, I was told it would at least have some form of finish applied, which never happened. There were a few other details like this, but at some point it was no longer worth my time to chase them down especially as we were getting close to our move in which we initially thought we would have far more buffer for.

Just was wonderful to work with and was very honest and upfront to what the finished product would look like. We agreed the natural color would look best. It took about 10 days and the results were amazing. It turned out way better than my highest expectation. Also need to point out we previously had new 5 inch baseboards installed and virtually no damage to them. They keep us abreast of what the progress was. They did a great job. During/after the installation, they always asked about if there was anything we liked/did not like, and whether or not we wanted them to change anything. They were super easy to work with and I would recommend to anyone looking at flooring options. From the last installation (which already went through a final inspection with myself and Andro), I found some other things I wanted changed/corrected. He and his team had 0 issue addressing things I wanted changed (even if a normal home owner/other may not care). Because we had extra wood (and stair noses), I asked his team if they could do our garage closet. While it's over the top (and unnecessary), they said no problem, and gave me such an extremely good deal I couldn't believe it! I really appreciate his willingness to work with my demands and warranty his product/installation. We'll see what other projects we have in the future for Andro, and hope to have him help us. As a note, I've had other contractors who have helped me on projects that just constantly stress me out. Being in the house, and watching them perform things give me anxiety! However, with Andro and his team, I had no problem going to work/or leaving freely because I knew they would stand behind their work!

I did my research and ended up strongly preferring higher-end laminate over LVP and hybrid options. Andro provided a competitive quote, and was very clear and straightforward to work with. I personally have a strong preference for people who are NOT trying to smooth-talk me OR tell me how they are giving a special price 'just for me'. So the fact that Andro never for a second tried to BS me on anything, is a massive plus. There was no ambiguity about what is included and what is not. The flooring brand he works with is good quality and had a lot of variety. We took our sweet time in deciding. I would definitely recommend doing one's own research in type of flooring you want, quality and price range you are good with, and getting comfortable with what you decide. We looked at options from home depot, lowes, floor & decor, as well as a couple of local stores -- and pretty much covered the spectrum of quality and price. We did end up going with the brand Andro partners with. They have a showroom/office nearby and made it easy to take as many samples as we wanted. We tried a variety of them at home, in different lights, saw how things coordinated with other existing flooring, etc. It was a bit embarrassing when I went back there to return the pile of samples I had borrowed, but hey, we were being thorough! The installation was quick and efficient, and the flooring fit and finish looks super-professional! The installer who works for Andro has 10+ years of experience and did a good job distributing patterns and planning the cut-lengths well across the bedroom and walk-in closet. He also fixed a minor issue that was discovered in a corner of the room after the carpet was removed. By the way, we did not have a leveling problem in the floor, so no additional sub-floor leveling was needed. There was a bit of a hiccup as the guy made an error when caulking the re-attached baseboards. But Andro made things right without any hesitation. Not only was the caulking cleaned and re-done but Andro went beyond that and had his guy do some additional work too. It is very important to see how someone reacts when something goes wrong, and he checked an important box! Andro stands out in the crowd for his quality of work, good communication, no bs or upsell, and focus on making sure the customer is happy!
