I've lived here over a decade and couldn't find a dentist that I liked as much as the one I had back home, but that's changed! Cooper Mountain dental is tucked in a strip mall about half a mile off of 217. I've driven by it hundreds of times but it wasn't until I got a flyer in the mail and then read the great reviews online that I decided to give them a try. This is going to be my dental practice from now on! Everything from the front desk staff to the modern dentistry equipment to incredible bedside manner makes this place a 5/5 for me. Pros: - Plenty of parking lot space to park - On time! I got there and was taken back in less than a couple minutes. - Modern equipment. They seem to be using very state-of-the-art equipment/practices. This made a lot of the normal things (like x-rays) go by so much more quickly and less painfully. - They truly care. I see Dr. Ramkrishna, and I can't say enough good things about her. Compassionate, funny, always making sure you're doing okay. The entire staff is like this. - You'd think with how "fancy" the equipment is, the cost would be crazy, but this is on par with any other dental practice. Upscale without being pretentious or out of reach. - The work itself is really well done. I need to have procedures beyond a cleaning done, and it went by very quickly and I can already feel the difference in my tooth sensitivity. She and her assistant checked in with me regularly to make sure I was doing well. I healed up much more quickly than other experiences I've had. None: - None. I just had a two hour crown put on and unlike normally where I need to have someone else drive me home because I am sensitive to anesthesia. At no time was I in any real pain. I keep coming here because the current (and the former) hygienist is amazing. I always wonder about the dentist. I mean I seethe hygienist for 45 minutes and the dentist for maybe 5. For those who like pros and cons lists, I have several pros and one con listed below. Pros -- - Friendly People. Everybody there is incredibly friendly. They remember you and make you feel cared about. - Great Care. Cleanings have been incredibly thorough and treatment has been great. I had a cavity filled there, and it was quick and painless! - Timliness. They are prompt and get you in at your scheduled time. You don't end up waiting around in the waiting room forever. - Honesty. They communicate with you honestly about your dental health. They don't tell you that there are cavities that need to be treated when there aren't. They look at certain areas that may become problems down the road and do everything they can to prevent them from becoming problems. They don't do extensive work prematurely, which I love. Cons -- - The Music. This is one that may have changed. Usually I wouldn't mention the music that is played at a place, but I find it very distracting here. The music they were playing was terrible covers of top 40 songs. I don't mind popular music, however, the covers were pretty painful to listen to, with singers who sing flat notes and just don't sound great. It's distracting. Warm Springs Dental are crooks…read more I had an appointment in March, so I emailed them in February and asked them if I had valid insurance with them. They replied in writing that I do have coverage, so I went to the appointment. Now a week after the appointment, they call me out of the blue and tell me that my insurance ended last December, even though they admit they told me it was still valid in February, and they are not offering any adjustments or assistance even though it was their error. They also spoke to my former insurance on the phone and made some insulting and belittling comments about me.
