Bought a new Luxor 21' Thunder Jet. Troy, our sales man, treated us very fairly, as well as all of the employees being professional. Mike their service manager was really great, extremely helpful, knowledgeable and Mike gave us all the time we needed to answering all of my questions. I would recommend them to friends for boat purchase. Finally, I would have gave them 5 stars but really my only negative observation was Troy was a bit rushed at times making the overall experience feeling a little tight. read more

I read some of these reviews and I can't believe how different my experience has been. I purchased a boat from them this June 2026 and had an excellent experience. All of my communications with Chris and his team were very positive. He was very honest and forthright. Prior to our test ride, he and his team identified an issue with the trailer braking system that was quickly corrected. After the completion of our test ride, Chris told me that just prior to him departing their facility for the check ride, that his team discovered a hairline crack in the exhaust manifold. It certainly didn't impact the test ride. He gave me the option of taking a discount off the price, or a promise to complete the repair at a later date, so we could enjoy the boat through the season. We chose the later. The point being, is that I never would have found that problem. If the issue became significant enough in the future to warrant a repair, then I would have assumed it happened on my watch. I give them an A+ for honesty and communications. They charged us $400 for a problem we already knew and told them , and then they refused to service our motor, these people are thieves

Sales department sold us a boat that was inoperable. Took it to the shop multiple times and every time we had it back there was another issue or they just didn't fix the underlying problem. The service department is very slow and had our boat longer than the time we owned it. The last time we got our boat back our white seats were covered in black grease and the service department tore a hole the drivers seat. Our boat had a full tank of gas and they returned it on empty. Basically the service department trashed our boat and they did nothing about it or cared. We were so frustrated that we attempted to purchase another boat and requested 2,000 off asking price. Sales would not budge with price but a week later lowered the price online by 2,000. Ultimately we are very frustrated and disappointed with everything may need to report this business to the Washington State Attorney General's Office. read more

I will use them to purchase parts but no plans to go back for service issues. Spent $600 on a small outboard to troubleshoot why it wouldn't make full rpm. Gave it back without improvement and turned out it had the wrong prop. Also asked that they replace water pump impeller with new and they chose to clean it up and reinstall. read more

Had an issue with my Minn Kota Ultrex the last day I was on vacation in california. I got a quote from a very reputable shop down there and was quoted 40 dollars for the part and about half an hour labor, and they had the part on hand. PBL is local for Me and (I Thought) was a reputable Minn Kota dealer. They quoted me $240 for the part and an hour and a half labor at 140!!! Plus they couldn't get the part until July? Nothing adds up here. I'll be taking my businesses back to california which is a shame because I've dealt with PBL for over 10 years. Worst experience with a service department! I had just purchased a used 2014 boat from a private party and was anxious to have the fuel gauge fixed (it read half full when the tank was full), a new Lowrance installed and have mechanic look the boat over to see what other service should be done. I brought the boat in Tuesday just after Labor day. They were pleasant and promised to get to the boat by Friday (at least to diagnose the fuel gauge problem, they may have to order parts). That was great. Friday came and went so I called in on Saturday. I was told there were 3 boats ahead of mine and it should be worked on the following Wednesday. Wednesday I followed up since I hadn't heard anything. They not only hadn't looked at it yet, they now weren't sure when they would be able to... perhaps by Friday. I wanted to be using my new boat (new for me)and there was no sense of urgency from my contact Randy. I called around and found other dealers allowed me to schedule an appointment on a given day (now that would be in October) and they would have the boat in and out in one day. At least I would have use of the boat while waiting for the maintance appointment. I went back to Pacific Boatland and they seem relieved to have me pick up my boat. I am not sure if they are merely very disorganized or if they were moving other boat repairs in front of mine (they swore they weren't). What ever the case, I won't ever be going back there again. Purchased a 2019 ThunderJet Luxor LTD. LOVE THE BOAT!! I actually ordered it as a custom build. I had several build changes during the process, adds, deducts, modifications etc. Chris is the person I dealt with and he responded promptly with my requests for changes. When all the specifications were finished and the order finalized he kept in contact with me with status of the build. I received the boat and took it home. A few weeks later I noticed a problem with the trailer. I contacted Chris and he coordinated the trailer back to the factory to resolve the problem. All is well now and I'm extremely pleased with the entire process; and I experienced the sale and also the response after the sale. I also shopped around, they price them right!! I have had the worst experience I've ever had buying a boat. It would seem for a $50,000.00 sale they would at least answer e-mails and messages; not to mention do what they say they're going to do. Then, even after the sale they screwed up the paperwork so badly I couldn't register the boat with DMV until they submitted the necessary documents... which I'm currently waiting for them to do. read more

Took ownership of a used sled several months ago and went in for a routine service on both the main and the kicker. They ended up finding an issue with the main that I agreed to have fixed. They never used scare tactics or came across as pushy, but rather, they came across as honest and engaged with the situation. Overall price did set me back but it had to be done in order to maintain my investment. Pricing was in line with every other shop in the area. John, Randy and Mike provided me with great service, excellent follow up and communication, and a wealth of knowledge. They've earned my business and trust. read more

DON'T TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE FOR REPAIR! I had some mechanical troubles with my boat. Pacific Boatland is a certified Supreme dealer and repair shop. After the boat was there for almost a week they told me that it needed a new transmission. (The boat is only 6 years old with 250 hours on it). They then told me that the transmission was on back order and they could not get it. This went on for over 3 weeks. Finally I decided to pick the boat up and bring it home rather than sit outside in their yard exposed to the elements. After another week of waiting for this supposed transmission that it needed and they couldn't get I began calling other shops to get their input. Two other shops told me they could get the transmission within 2-3 days. I took it to one of these shops. This company thought it best to properly and thoroughly inspect the transmission before making a $5000-$6000 repair to the boat. After pulling the engine and tearing down the transmission they found that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I called Pacific Boatland to find out how they were able to diagnose that the transmission needed to be replaced. I was told "they heard a noise." As a result of their mis-diagnosis, I ended up being without my boat for all of July and all of August....the only nice weather months we have in the pacific northwest. After a number of calls and complaints they reimbursed me the $200 they charged me for the mis-diagnosis. The owner was supposed to call me about this issue and never bothered to. The shop that I eventually took the boat to had to charge me $700 for pulling the engine, tearing down the transmission, and making a proper diagnosis of it. They said they would have never done this if the other shop wouldn't have said that it needed a new transmission in the first place. read more

Chris worked out an amazing deal to where I can get all my electronics installed on the new purchase. The staff is polite, courteous, professional, and low sales pressure. I have been shopping for a boat for some time now. So many boat dealerships are high sales pressure, unprofessional, and want to meet their sales end quotas. Chris made sure I was more than satisfied every step of the way. The boat is detailed. Chris and his staff (mechanic) is taking me out on the boat to show the mechanics and controls. Not many dealerships would take the time to take you out on the boat. It is so rare these days to experience a high caliber dealerships with high class professionals. Worst customer service I have ever received from a salesman. Drove two hours to look at boat not to have the salesman Jason condescend and talk down to me like I was not a serious buyer. He was also dishonest in releasing details on the boat over the phone, describing a stain that was actually a scratch. Something seemed a bit off when he wouldn't really let the inspector I brought with me fully take a look at the boat, and wouldn't take it on a 20 minute ride until I agreed to a price?? Why would I agree to a price before I have the engine inspected and take it for a ride? Jason treated me like I was an intrusion on his day and he had more important things to deal with. Funny thing is I could buy any boat on the lot, but due to the disrespect and pompous service I received from this salesman I will never return and take my business to someone who knows how to treat a buyer properly. I have done sales for many years in the past. Chris reminded me of one of those coked up shady salesman. By far the worst sales experience I have ever had. He told me all the stuff I was going to receive with my boat because I bought my boat specifically to take out disabled veterans on the water and I wanted it fish ready. As I was signing paperwork and handing him a $25,000 check, he said he wasn't going to give my the bells and whistles he said he was going too. I ended up get a little loud saying he was going to give it to me. He turned beer red, stomping around pissed off because I called him out on his BS. To add to that. I have another disabled veteran friend that I referred to the PBL to get a boat for the same purpose as me, to get other vets on the water. I simply asked him if there was a referral bonus and he said yes. Unfortunately, after my buddy shook hands with Chris Newcomb, Chris told me there was nothing he could do for me for a referral! Lies lies lies! Be aware when buying a boat from this place. My boat is now about 3 weeks old and I won't even take my boat in for its first oil change there. Woke up to the smell of gas in my garage Saturday morning. Appeared the fuel tank in my boat had been leaking. Boat was still under factory warrant so I called Pacific Boatland. They only had 1 tech on shift that day but they said to bring it by. They took my boat in same day and looked at it. They explained there was no leak but is normal for full fuel tanks to "vent" when the weather gets hot (102F the day before). I appreciate their quick response and honesty that day. Recently bought our first boat here - North River Seahawk. Experience was above my expectations from initital sales help. Dave was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Everything that he said he was going to do he did. Test ride went great and all issues that we had concerned about were resolved. Financing was fairly quick. I also had to return with boat about month after purchase to get some custom ordered seat backs that were promised. They were installed quickly and the technician even turned my boat around with a nearby tractor just to help me get back on the road quicker. I'd highly recommend checking this place out. read more

If there is a place to avoid Pacific Boatland is it. After saving for years to get the boat of my dreams, a Duckworth Offshore, I ended up purchasing it from Pacific Boatland. They had it on the lot for three weeks prior to me being able to pick it up. Not only was it not outfitted as ordered, they have refused to refund me for the items not installed on the boat. I was given a windless in a box and sent on my way with a promises of sending a check. That never came. I also ordered a spare trailer tire as I had a long way to tow the boat home. Chris's solution to that problem was to get bolt cutters and literally steal a spare off a boat being stored in his lot. hindsight, I never should have accepted that tire. Because I have owned boats in the past Chris's idea of giving me a description of the boat and its features was to hand me two packets. He said here are the manuals that make it go, and these are the rest. He even forgot to give me the keys to the boat. I had arranged by email to pick up the boat several weeks in advance so its not like I just showed up out of the blue wanting to pick this boat up. It was very carefully planed as to when this would occur but obviously I caught Chris on a bad day. Since then I have been given the run around and gotten double talk, but we agreed a week ago on a resolution, and even a very sincere apology. However, no check. Do yourself a favor.
