My husband drove over something that caused his rear bumper on his Lucid Air to disconnect from the vehicle. He went to the dealer who recommended a few auto body shops; I won't even repeat the ridiculous quotes he was given. This shop is amazing! They have great rates, but the quality is the best! I've been here twice! I have a cursed Prius rear bumper! 3 rear ends in 5 months! Caliber collision took 13 days and 5 times to make me happy on the first rear ending, pacific AB -Robert specifically made me extremely satisfied in 2 days each time! Robert is "The Man" and the tall guy who seems like the owner because I pay him, is a rock solid good guy! They are straight up, straight forward and no Bull ! And the quality is way better than my USAA preferred shop that cost 4x as much and has a 4 rating!? Pacific auto body is a 6 shop in my book, he fixed an extra scratch for me that bugged me so much (it's a black car), they fixed it like new and didn't even charge me! (This was a cash pay-no insurance used) and they detail my car inside and out every time they work on it! I was the victim of a hit and run that left a basketball sized hole in the back quarter panel of my BMW. Needless to say I was devastated. Thankfully, I was referred by a friend to Pacific Body Shop and they took the best care of me And my car. Not only were they efficient (I has my car back in about a week), but they also made my car look like new. Any time I had a question or called to check up on the progress throughout that week, Robert happily took the time to let me know what part of the repair process my car was in and even let me come by to see the car when it was in paint. I ve taken a couple cars to mike to have them repaired .. they did a good job. So, I took my Black Dodge Challenger to their shop to repair damage to the hood of the car, and to look at the suspension I jut paid 5,000.00 to have put in. It was making a squeaky noise on the frontside. I dropped ff my car on 03/19/2024 they called me and said that t would cost 1,800 00 to fix my suspension, and the reo0air and pant my car would be 12,000.00. I thought that was a bit expensive bt being that it was a dodge challenger , I said go ahead and fix it. I took a check over to them the next day for 14,000.00. so periodically I stopped in tot check o my car.... the car was there waiting to be painted, than it was waiting for the new rubber around the windows they could not find any anywhere. so I had some parts dilivered to them and asked if they could instal them. 1000.00 worth of parts. They lost the most expensive parts I ordered and had delivered. the diffuser the goes in the back of the car 600.00 the lighting kit that goes under the car 100.00 the veneer window covers that go on the back side windows. So , ok here it comes 3 months later and they call and say I can pick up my car mike never mnstioned any money o owed them although I new I owed them some. but not 4,300.00 more. Robert said that I had to pay them if I wanted my car that they would wait to deposit the money till Tuesday when mike got back from Memorial Day weekend. Why did he not mention that I need him this much more? Went to pick up my car and the first thing I noticed was my headlights were all scratched up and than when I finally drove away the noise in my suspension was still there it had never been fixed, than my whole car was just different. They stole my parts off my car, the car seat covers I had , the exhaust tips on the back of the muffler, the headlights, the rear view mirror, they stole the brand new Peralli tire and rim I had put on for 2,000 out of the trunk of my car that was wrapped in plastic. The stole the cowl and replaced it with an old shredded one and put that on a 12,000.00 paint job they did. They drove my cr over 500 miles while they had it. Also they will not Gove me an invoice or a receipt explaining what they did to my suspension. I would think twice about taking your car here and I would really look at your cars and trust and believe they stole your parts off your car as well and kept the good parts for their future use. Ended up taking my car down the street for the squeaky noise on the right side they charged me 1800.00 for and the mechanic their got in my car to test drive it and went around the block and came back opened up the hood and took a torque wrench adjusted something and the noise was gone. Becareful and trust yourself they did switch out your parts that didn't need fixed. read more

Mike and his crew are really great. Because of their outstanding work, they busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. They are also a family run business. So sometimes it may be difficult to reach them by phone. But don't let that deter you. They do an excellent job and are worth it. Their service is above and beyond what you might expect. My son's truck was rear-ended on the 405 and we brought our truck to Mike. Initially I was leery about using the body shop recommended by the other person's insurance company. Mike gave us the straight scoop, and made sure the truck was done in time for my son to drive to Texas with it. I had to drop of the rental car I was using and when I walked outside Mike was there waiting to take me to his shop to pick up the Truck. Now that's service! Unfortunately someone did a hit a run on my wife's car in the church parking lot, so it looks like I might be using Mike's services again. Can you believe it? :-( This was a great experience, especially considering the horror story I had with another Body shop in town. I've been going to Jack, Mike and family for my auto body / car repair needs for years. Hear is what i can tell you. You will get top quality repairs at a reasonable cost, every freakin' time. Period. My truck was recently hit by a semi and while the damage was "relatively" minor, paint matching was definitely going to be tricky. The factory paint is a three step process and while I do my best to keep my baby pristine, she is seven years old and a slight fade on the paint is inevitable. The guys at Pacific would not even consider releasing my truck without a perfect paint match. Did it take longer than promised? Yeah, a little bit. So I have backed into my garage every day for the past 20 years. It's a little tight, but I have always been really careful. Long story short, I got to close to wall and totally messed up my fender and piece of the bumper. I tried waxing it to take off the paint that was rubbed on and I had no success. So I looked for a good shop in Pedro I could take it to (I will never go to Y&S again, they're totally greedy clowns). So I pulled in to Pacific and Mike helped me. I showed him the damage and he said "Is it a lease? (yes) let me go get my stuff"...okay He came back a min later with a cloth with some sort of chemical and totally rubbed it clean. The small dent was there, but you couldn't tell if you didn't know. I WAS SHOCKED! I asked him how much, and he wouldn't take anything. He could've charged me $1000+ to fix it, but he didn't. I have been a Customer of Pacific Body Shop in San Pedro for many years, over 20! Mike was proficient in his Work, I had my 06 Toyota Tundra repaired about seven years ago and they did a decent job on work. I have also referred many people to this business over the years. when Covid started I purchased a new Ram Promaster cargo van and built it out as an RV. I had completed the build and unfortunately someone had ran a red light and damaged the front end of the van pretty bad In July 2022. So the first person I thought of was Mike at the pacific body shop and took it right to him. I was well aware of the parts on back order for all vehicles at this particular time. My van was at his shop for over eight months while repairs were getting done, it got to the point where I had to go down there and be very aggressive to get my van returned to me due to the poor quality of work ethic and miss handled parts that were Delivered. And towards the end of repairs Mike was no where to be found to answer questions, his father had to complete to paper work. Insurance company paid Pacific Body Shop in full before work started , Also the repairs done on the vehicle were not done properly, the radiator mounts were not even put in and the bolts were sitting in loose. Loose coolant line, coolant leak. passenger door trim not properly put on and falling off. Water in headlight due to the fact it was left out in the rain while being repaired as well as other new parts. When the van was completed, I inspected the body lines and they were all off. Especially on the front hood was a good 3/8 inch gap where water can enter the engine bay and damage critical electrical parts. This is because the front frame rail were not properly realigned. I would not recommend Pacific Body Shop to anybody at this time. I have talked to others that have taken their cars there and had the same outcome. I hope someday MIke can change things up there and make it like it used to be 15 to 20 years ago. I have lived in this town my whole life and always want to give money to local shops. Mike and everyone here are really first rate. They are honest about pricing and the work that needs to be done, as well as accomplishing the task speedily. Brought my auto subsequent to an accident where the front bumper and everything behind it on one side were destroyed. I had hoped it would be just the bumper but we all live in the hope after an accident that the damage will be minimal. It happened at an inopportune time because I needed to into the hospital for a surgery and even though the shop was really busy Mike took it in almost immediately, which helped me have one less thing to worry about. He found that those other parts under the bumper essential to running the car needed replacement, got those asap and saved the old ones to show me what was done. He kept in close contact about the status of the repair time and it was finished in a very timely manner. He even got a part that wound up being extraneous because the original served ok, and credited me back for that cost. They really did a great job on the repair and made the paint job all over look so shiny and new that I received a compliment on it immediately. Others ask if it's a new car. Cannot tell there was ever a problem with it. When I solicited advice on protecting my cat converter, he referred me straightaway to Tim at SP Muffler for loss prevention since there's been a rash of thievery with them. Tim also accommodated me quickly so I could head off that potential problem with exorbitant cost. Why wait when the thieves are out there working overtime. Now I can sleep better at night not having to listen for the sound of a saw anywhere near the car. Mike and his family were amazing and very friendly. His wife Stacy entertained my 5 year old girl as she too has kids and who does that anymore?! Ok, so left my car with them after I spilled oil paint in the front seat of my car they said it would be a few days 10 or so , I left the vehicle and they said they will deal with my insurance company , 15 days later car still at shop no insurance claim has been approved meantime my rental is expired due to the amount of days car has been at shop , I get the car back after 21 days not repaired!!! ask why , I was told there still waiting for a part , I then have to get another rental in which case the owner of the shop says not his concern nor fault he gives a credit off the deductible , that would of been ok , had he not kept my car for so long without notifying me it was not being worked on and made me have a rental for over 34 days!! read more
