I was rear ended in July. I searched for a shop to repair my car. I have AAA insurance and they work with AAA. They recommended I use my insurance since it was full insurance and then they would bill the guy's insurance that hit my car. My car was repaired within 4 days. They arranged for a pickup for me to get a rental. When my car was done, I left my car at the shop and they arranged for it to be picked up. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. At pick up, the receptionist bought me an ice cream. I had left my house keys behind and the receptionist offered to bring my keys to my home as well. When I was stopped at a traffic light, someone managed to run into the back of my brand new 4Runner. I am the type of person who takes great pride in caring for my vehicles. I wanted my new 4Runner completely restored to factory condition. I went searching for the best auto body shop I could find. I visited quite a few shops, looked at their work and asked a lot of questions. Several of my friends recommended San Pedro Auto Body. Even though it was farther away than the other shops, I decided to go with them. Jose took care of everything for me. He was easy to work with, honest and understood my concerns. Shannon at the front desk was also very nice and always kept me informed during the repair process. When I was on my way to pick up my 4Runner, I was nervous, expecting that it would be impossible to make perfect again. When I saw it, I was so happy! Their painter is very talented. There were some areas that I considered difficult to re-paint. But the painter did an amazing job! I am impressed. Also, the guys who did the re-assembly did a great job. All of the pieces were aligned and fastened perfectly. Upon close inspection, I can't tell that my 4Runner had ever been damaged. I am very picky and this shop exceeded my expectations. Had to bring in car for body repair through AAA as the insurer because I just can't seem to stay away from this place for too long, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Don't know the names of who exactly did the work but Fabian wrote up the estimate and between him and them, they did, and always do, a careful, beautiful job. I wanted the bra taken off the hood and the front buffed out and it looks like glass. I've received compliments on it and often people think it's a late model when it's actually fourteen years old. Pictures were taken more than two weeks after the job was completed with no further washing and after the rains in March, and it still looks like it did when I picked it up. Maryann and Shannon in the front office are always so gracious and quick to get the ball rolling once you figure out how you want to handle things. AAA seems to coordinate with them effectively every time and allows Enterprise to offer the auto rental as many days as it takes to repair. Last November, I was at the receiving end of a fender bender involving 2 other cars while driving home from a drumline practice on Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica. A car hit a car that hit me. Eventually, the car insurances got involved, and my provider (Mercury) said they would waive the deductible and rate hikes and repair my vehicle since I was clearly not at fault. It was surprising, but very nice. They listed a couple shops where I could get my estimate and repairs done, and San Pedro was pretty close to home, so I went with them. I dropped my car off for the repairs on Monday night, and they had to replace my bumper cover, repair my tire cover, and fix any additional damage underneath that can't be seen until the bumper is off. I found out on Thursday that there were additional damages, but that everything would still be done by Friday evening. When I came on Friday evening after returning the rental car I was given to Enterprise, everything was pristine looking. They were even able to order a new visor for me and replace it within the 4 days they had my vehicle. The service-men and the woman at the front desk were all extremely nice and friendly. Awesome people! You couldn't ask more from a repair shop than fast, courteous, and affordable (I looked at the estimates that were quoted to Mercury and they seemed very reasonable). Summary: Great people. Fast. Efficient. High Quality. Affordable. Hope I don't have to ever see them again, but if I ever need repairs I'd feel perfectly comfortable bringing my car to them. read more
