I got my crown at Pacific Dental and everyone was amazing. I got the best care I could ask for and felt comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I had to go a couple of times, first to get the mold created, and then again when the crown was ready for installation. The friendly staff kept me informed every step of the way. I also needed to get this done in the 2025 calendar year to take advantage of the Flex Spending I put aside. They were able to accomodate me with short notice. I wanted to get a quote/consultation to compare costs and see about switching providers. When I called, the person I talked to asked me what insurance I have and then proceeded to tell me that in his experience, "they don't pay that much." I told him I know they pay 50% on this type of procedure, and between the two steps, I could do it in 2 different insurance cycles. So I do actually have an idea of how much it would cost. But he essentially wouldn't allow me to book an appointment. From the reviews, it seems like the doctor is first class. But patients have no way of knowing that when the front office won't book appointments. read more

I foolishly sought a second opinion on a complicated dental issue. The "penalty" for that office visit which included extensive X-rays and a brief 2 minute oral exam by an endodontist who reiterated my dentist's prognosis was $350! I shouldn't have doubted Dr. Asam. My teeth will be finished in June, they treat you like Ohana. The rates they have, in my experience, are low ball estimates. Be sure your treatment follows what they do and not what they say in their add. I have nothing but the nice things to say about their staff, but as with most people, it's expensive, buti for me I do believe it will be worth it down the line. If you can afford go to this office, no one else is more customer oriented. read more

Spoke with Robin (not sure who Robin is to Dr. Asam), however, right up front it was all about the cost, what you can afford, almost like a "don't waste our time if you can't afford thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done". There was no "Aloha" or "let us see how we can help you" or "I'm sorry you are experiencing what you are going through".. it was a straight up conversation about cost and don't waste our time impression if you can't afford it. I appreciated the transparency but geez.. is there a little bit of compassion there at your place?? I'm sure Dr. Asam is a very pleasant and caring, however, just know that you are screened fincancially by Robin before you can get an actual appointment with her. Dr. Jaime Asam is absolutely brilliant! I was in the midst of several months of treatment to restore my smile after periodontal disease, when several top front teeth were knocked loose. It looked horrible, and I had no idea what to do. Dr. Asam's office made a fast appointment for me, and I steeled myself for more expensive, time consuming work just to get my front teeth restored. But Dr. Asam simply examined my mouth very carefully, left the room, and a short time later returned with a perfect replacement of the missing teeth. I don't know how she did it so quickly or so perfectly, but the bridge fit like a dream, and looked completely natural! I have had a lot of dental work over the years, but have never experienced anything like this without lots of mold-making, drilling, and hours of fitting.
