This is my SECOND review after getting the first one removed after this dentist complained. This office is terrible. The office staff are very confused and do not seem to understand or know how to operate electronic technology. Not only did they mess up my records, but they kept calling me for scheduled follow up appointments, even after I cancelled all my appointments and asked them to inactivate my profile - TWICE. I'm sure this doctor is a superior dentist but I definitely felt uninvited on my 2nd call to try and reschedule an appointment. And when I tried to reschedule they did everything to not schedule me in, first they tried pushing me 2 months out hoping I'd just say no, but when I accepted to their surprise, they quickly changed doctors to some other doctor I don't even know, then when I asked for Dr Ho, suddenly he became unavailable... it's just too obvious come on now.. On my first visit Dr Ho didn't even greet me or just say Hi. I was a business owner for 12 years and that's definitely not how I treated my clients. I'm not a number, I'm a human being who is reaching out to get help from a doctor who apparently won't even talk to you if you don't have your X rays done.. what is this a military boot camp come on? Saying hello only takes less than a minute and if it's not in your heart to give another human being just 1 minute of your time then I definitely think you shouldn't be working on my teeth. I feel this office prioritizes money & time over wanting to genuinely help people. So much for this referral, congratulations on you being the best dentist in town I'll look elsewhere. read more

I am delighted to be back in town and blessed today to have my overdue cleaning done! Thank you, Char for getting me in! Due to my lengthy travels, I was concerned about the needed cleaning and examination but hearing of negative dental experiences my son had in two other states, I decided to wait until I can get back into Doctor Ho and his assistants' trusted hands. In fact, my son is planing a far trip from East Coast to tend to his dental needs at Doctor's Ho, because he says there is no one out there he trusts anymore and no one out there (visited 4 professionals) that of Doctor Ho expertise, manner, knowledge, and ability. In retrospect, the best part we both perceive, is Doctor's Ho genuine concern for his patients and desire to bring about the best course of action. We experienced his outstanding care in the far past, resolving previous extensive needs. My husband and a friend or two are also his happy patients. It was an amazing experience, today, despite the discovery of a deep cavity, which Doctor Ho gracefully reminded me to be optimistic about. He has a way to put people at ease; I so appreciated his gentle comment! It felt good to have my teeth gently cleaned at last while hearing joyful laughter from another room. New patient of Dr. Ho that went in for a cleaning before getting some cosmetic work done. They could not have been nicer or more professional. Jenna did the cleaning and she was awesome! It had been over a year since i had a cleaning and some of my teeth required deep cleaning/scaling. While many dental offices charge extra for that service, they did not and Jenna spent the entire appt cleaning, then polishing, then touching up any missed places. Through the years, I felt abused and traumatized by previous dentists, who would take out their life frustrations while manhandling me with sudden thrusting, bone-hitting, excruciatingly painful anestesia injections. Then I was blessed to experience Dr. Ho's special technique, in which he uses a special angle or ideal pressure or magic to deliver the injection so that it almost feels pleasant. That coupled with the time Dr. Ho's Office Manager, Char, pointed out how timing certain dental procedures to coincide with insurance coverage renewal would save me over a thousand dollars, made me feel so lucky to have been accepted as a patient. Dr. Ho, Cathy and Char are hands down, THE BEST. (I haven't met any of his other staff but I'm sure they're just as amazing) I have a major fear of the dentist and they have made my experience there so amazing. From the first phone call, Char has been nothing but sweet and so accommodating. Dr. Ho is so gentle and doesn't force you into anything. He explains everything and makes me feel so comfortable. His assistant Cathy is so sweet!! She didn't make me feel awkward for having such a sensitive "gag reflex". She made me feel "normal". LOL. They are all so patient and kind. At the end of my first visit, I got a cute clear pouch with a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. And after opening, I was surprised to see a STARBUCKS GC for my birthday!! I went to see Dr Ho for cavity treatments today. There was a mask mandatory sign on the door. Clinic was very clean, receptionist was very friendly and welcoming.She took my temperature as precaution for COVID-19 upon arrival.They seem to be following the CDC guide line and limiting the number of patients which made me feel safe. After my first appointment and the experience that I had, Dr. Ho has my business. Charlene made everything simple and easy. Any questions I had or any information I felt like I was missing she was more than willing to help, and was so patient with me considering I hadn't been to the dentist in a while. I had a teeth cleaning, which the dental assistant had done a wonderful job! She tried very hard to make sure I was as comfortable as possible during both my x-rays and teeth cleaning. Dr. Ho and his crew is the best!! I've been seeing them for years... more than 20 at least. But my recent procedure (2years now) has changed my life literally. He did an implant and veneers on my top front teeth and it turned out so well. I never would smile or like to take pictures, but I sure do now. Sometimes I forget that I had anything done until I get compliments like wow you have a beautiful smile or you have perfect teeth. BEST dental experience I've ever had! I got a cleaning and a filling done, the entire staff is extremely warm and welcoming. Absolutely 0 wait time when you have an appointment, I literally didn't even have to sit in the waiting room, they were ready for me as soon as I walked through the door. During my cleaning I told the doctor I was nervous about my filing because Ive had an experience with another dentist that didn't use enough numbing. Dr.Stephen remembered my concerns and used a little extra numbing and I felt nothing at all. The filling was done extremely quickly, the doctor and assistant seemed to read each other minds! My grandmother in law and my husband go to Dr. Ho. I had seen him right after I moved to Hawaii back in 2003, when my old filling came off. I got a new porcelain filing. After that I was not able to go to him for while as he does not take HMSA. I finally got HDS and started to see him again. I just had my cavity fixed with a porcelain. My previous doctor did not do good jobs and I got "dentist-phobia" because of that doctor!! I had pain for a while after I had a silver filing. But Dr. Ho does great job always.
