've been coming to this dental office since around 2021, when I moved to Kahala. The dentist is incredibly kind and caring, and always makes me feel comfortable and well taken care of. The dental hygienists and front desk staff are also wonderful--everyone is so friendly, kind, and thoughtful. The treatments are always efficient, and I've experienced very little pain or discomfort. It had been quite a while since I've had my teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist, so I wanted to share how positive my visit was today. The new hygienist, Reana, was excellent. She has the same gentle touch as Dr. Sugiki and I truly hope I'll be able to see her again on my next six month checkup. I also had x-rays done and I noticed the new handheld x-ray technology is much quicker and far less cumbersome than the old machine which I appreciated. The mouthpiece was a bit larger, so it felt slightly awkward for my mouth, but overall the process was easier. It was also lovely to see the familiar front desk staff and be warmly greeted by people I know. The office feels more efficient than ever before, especially after the Covid epidemic. It gave me a comfortable safe feeling. Mahalo for a wonderful experience. See you all in December! read more

I've been if going to Dr K Sugiki for over 20 years plus. The office staff are great and are quick for follow up if needed and having stable staff says something about the business. My dental hygienist Linda has been there over 15 years plus and more I think and I like going to her as she's gentle and knows her stuff. I come out with whiter and cleaner teeth. Dr. Sugiki and his entire team at Kahala are absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, everyone is professional, friendly, and welcoming. Dr. Sugiki has a very approachable personality -- he doesn't feel like a stranger at all. He has that calm, fatherly/family-type presence that instantly puts you at ease. He's extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly so you actually understand what's going on. You never feel rushed, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. They send text reminders for appointments, and you can even communicate with them via text, which makes scheduling and follow-ups super easy. Huge plus: they're open on Saturdays (though availability is limited), which is incredibly helpful if you work during the week. One thing I'll mention (just so others aren't surprised like I was) -- if you're paying out of pocket, a "routine cleaning" can end up being a few hundred dollars, not much less I originally assumed. Definitely ask about pricing beforehand and plan your yearly cleanings to fit your premiums, so you know what to expect. (That's totally on me!) Overall, i highly recommend Dr. Sugiki and his team if you're looking for a dentist who is professional, kind, accessible, and makes you feel comfortable. read more
