Before coming to PDC, I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years (last time my parents forced me to go). Consequently.. I needed some major cleaning and fillings. For someone who was terrified of the dentist to begin with.. this was something I dreaded to hear! During that initial visit - Dr. Snow and I set up a plan for the next year to get me back on track. It was very helpful to know upfront what was needed and when it was going to be done. Most importantly, I was given a billing estimate of all the cleanings that we had scheduled as well as some other procedures I was considering (wisdom teeth). My insurance changed halfway through 2013, and there were no hiccups with PDC providing me with an updated billing estimate or billing my new insurance. Dr. Snow filled my cavities faster than I could blink! He also has a sense of humor which is nice to ease your mind if you are nervous. Andrea is my hygienist at PDC, and I couldn't be happier. She is very gentle when cleaning and answers all my (random) questions during visits. She has definitely removed my fear of the dentist's office. Maybe even inspired me to floss more in 2014? I also love the fact that PDC offers later office visits (6-6:30pm) which don't require me to leave work. The office is very clean and has updated dental equipment (and TVs). I have been searching for a new Dentist since my former Dentist retired and I've probably been to over half dozen the last few years, and I really haven't been happy with any of them enough to continue to go I finally found a new dentist office with a terrific front office a terrific dental hygienist and a great dentist and Dr. Snow and his team from the moment I called to the moment I walked in they were courteous and friendly and I have to say funny I had a great experience they have very good technology and I've even been on a second appointment to get some work done thar the doctor Snow found I had a excellent experience and I highly recommend to anyone that's looking for a new dentist are unsatisfied with their current one read more

They really did a great job for me. I hate going to the dentist. They really put my mind at ease, and they have everything to keep your mind off during treatment, such as cable TV. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and they were all very kind. Doctor Snow: Thank you for going into my records to see what the fee was for, and check on which hygienist i had....to verify my story (2 years later). However, I did not say that it wasn't a "valid" or "reasonable" fee - my complaint was that your staff gave me incorrect info, made me run around talking to everyone, and then treated me like a deadbeat over a $50 charge, that I would have paid right away - as opposed to wasting my time - had they NOT told me that I wasn't supposed to be charged for it. And if I had the same hygienist 4 times and not 2 like I thought...then I obviously gave her more chances than I should have. I wish you the best also Dr Snow, I'm sure that finding good staff can be difficult. But like the other reviewer here - may I echo her suggestion that if you want to improve your reputation - "make improvements, send apologies, offer repairs". read more

I got a bill from this dentist but I was ignoring it because I knew that I'd paid in full when I was there. I recently got a "final notice" statement so I finally called to ask why they were on my back! It turns out that they're charging me for something that's free; the doctor entered a code in my file so they could try to bill my insurance and when insurance didn't pay, they sent the bill to me. It could happen anywhere but the bottom line is this: They didn't take the time to prevent this from happening and it may happen all the time. If the poor fool patient doesn't question the bill...mwaah haaa HAAA...more for the dentist! And if I didn't take the time to call the main line, get the number for the billing department, leave a message with billing, wait for them to call me back and then specifically ask for an explanation of why I was being charged...well, then I'd be out $52 bucks! Was here last week because I needed some work done and a good friend recommended them. When I got there I filled out all the paperwork (you know the routine). What really set me off was that they asked me if they could get me something while I filled out the paperwork. Deep down I'm thinking Martini but decided against it :-) Either way the girl at the front was extra nice. My procedure and cleaning were super fast and painless (I'm a big baby) I don't have insurance (as of yet) and they still said that wouldn't be a problem. The were nice enough to work with me on payment. Lastly, the only real drawback was parking. It was probably my fault for missing my morning appointment and getting their latter. Also, I must say that I was way late and kept Jim longer than I should of. Sorry staff, my bad! I will make it up by flossing from now on! read more

They help you with all your insurance things and are very up front about the cost of any procedure, and will also work out a reasonable payment plan so you don't have to go without proper dental care that you need. Dr. Snow and my hygienist, Jennifer, have been great for my teeth. They proactively find problems and work to fix them. I've had gum problems, crooked teeth, and staining. They proactively look for problems such as infections, caveties, fix them, and offers suggestions for home dental care. The Invisalign trays, which are retainers that take the place of braces, have been wonderful for straightening my teeth, but without the cleaning problems of metal braces. Not the cheapest dentist, but you get what you pay for. read more

First time going to see Dr. Snow. My last dentist was too far away and I needed one that was a little closer. My wife is terrified of the dentist so I try to go with her whenever we can schedule it right. Usually we have to schedule two appointments back to back and it takes at least 2 hours out of our day to accomplish. I called in and the scheduler Andrea was able to get us in within the same hour using the same hygienist, Noah! We basically switched off, one of us started with Noah while the other saw Dr. Snow. It was a great idea and saved us time! Noah was awesome. I never really have a problem with going to the dentist but with Noah I didn't even feel an ounce of pain. My wife was totally fine as well, a first. Dr. Snow was really cool. He was fast and efficient. He even offered solutions for teeth whitening that are within my price range. Afterwards, Andrea noticed my insurance covers me for 4 cleanings per year instead of the usual 2, which my last dentist never checked. She scheduled me for the next years worth of cleanings for both of us. I am still dumbfounded on how efficient the whole process was. I know it's silly to think about a dentist office as efficient or even to write a lengthy review, however it's one of those things that you don't really think about until you're there. read more

From the moment I walk into the immaculate office, I feel that my specific needs (dental and emotional) are met. Last night, the night before a vacation, my crown came out. Love that they take my insurance-met life, love that they have late hours for my husband and early hours for me, love that they have TV's on every chair so I can pretend I am not at the dentist but mostly just love them. Everyone hates the dentist, right? I am no exception, I had found a groupon for Pacific Dental Center for 200.00 for x-rays, cleaning and bleaching. Great deal, I was having lower tooth pain really bad. I went in this morning and sure enough on the x-ray I had a bad tooth. So, I needed to have it extracted, he and his staff did a great job making me feel at ease. I got numbed and next thing you know, bada bing, tooth out. No pain at all, sort of...lol He and his staff are very courteous and professional. Office is nice and clean and Kim at the front desk was great, friendly and answered all my question's. I found Dr. Snow through a friend at our children's school in Encinitas. The location was convenient, the office was nicely put togeher (as weird as it sounds, the most comfortable dental chair I've ever sat in) and the staff was super sweet. Thankfully I didn't need anything more than a cleaning and Dr. Snow was very kind and thorough when he did his exam. Back in 6 months for my next cleaning (I had Brenda... very nice, but there are 3 hygienists to choose from). I would feel comfortable recommending others to this office... Tom :) read more

Pacific Dental Center is awesome! Went in because my crown came off and Dr. Snow glued it back on. Very honest and funny, I'm entertained every time I go. I originally went to Carlsbad Village Fair Dentistry because it is just down the street from my work. They told me that I needed a new crown and it could not be saved. They wanted to charge me $1100! Very unethical!!! Dr. Snow only charged me $55 to restore my crown that he said was in perfect condition. Thank you PDC!!! read more

Been going to Dr. Snow for a few years now for routine maintenance (cleanings, crown, root canal, etc.) Happy to report no problems at all. Friendly staff, solid hygienist, and of course the experienced good doctor himself. I have "dentist-shopped" in the past, mostly due to high-pressure upselling turn-offs. Seriously, some practices make you feel like your teeth with fall out if you don't get a full facial realignment with complete dental upgrade on every tooth. Immediately. For the low low price of: every penny they can squeeze. No thanks. Anyway, fortunately, Dr. Snow is not like that. Thumbs up from a happy customer. =) read more

While on vacation in the Encinitas area, I cracked a crown and needed to get it repaired. I called Dr.Snow's office and Andrea was able to get me in for an appointment in the next few days. Everyone here makes you feel welcome and relaxed. The hygenists did a great job of not inflicting pain on me. I went to a hygenist in the UK and it was so horrible I never went back for 10 years. These guys were great. I had a whole day there getting a crown, a filling and a deep clean and didn't have any fear of going back for further cleaning 6 weeks later. Great place, very thorough and no BS or up-selling. Dr. Snow is hilarious and the technicians try to make it fun and quick when they clean your teeth. I've been a patient for three years, my kids also go there, and we couldn't say anything but good things. One suggestion: Kind of a bummer that late afternoon appointments are so limited. I have been going to the same dentist for ten years and decided it was time to try somebody new since I have a new dental insurance plan. What I loved first off is the latest in dental tools. Digital X-ray and crown making on the spot. After the tooth with the issue was prepped, I waited ten minutes for the new crown to be milled. My last dentist sent out to a lab and three times the margins were off and I had to return again and again. Both crowns were prepped and fitted and glued down the same day. I then needed deep cleaning and Tara did the work. Painless and efficient. In fifty-five years of going to the dentist and cleanings, somebody actually showed me how to floss. That step alone would give this office five stars. I started to the dentist at five. So, you figure out my age. All the staff were friendly and when I mentioned Yelping after the work, they all said, "Yes, please Yelp!" I can understand why after reading the negative reviews about this office. Lets face it, that clearly the majority of their patients are not Yelpers. Otherwise there would be plenty of five star reviews and the folks that Yelp and always give low reviews will not stand out. Don't get me started on the negative always complaining Yelp folks. I found the dentist very friendly and professional along with the staff that did my prep and worked up my bill before insurance and after. They gave me the cost of all my procedures before they began, so there were no surprises. My bank account is lower, but thank goodness I do not need to return again in a few days to have the crowns glued down. read more
