I was a loyal patient of Dr. James Snow for over 20 years. During that time, I always found him to be pleasant and personable, which is why writing this review is so disappointing. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my opinion of his practice. The temporary tooth (flipper) made for tooth #22 was poorly made, uncomfortable, and did not fit correctly. Rather than standing behind the work and making it right, Dr. Snow failed to take responsibility for correcting the problem. After more than two decades as his patient, I expected much better. What concerns me even more is the billing practices in his office. His office manager, who also handles insurance matters, provided me with an estimate that I believed was excessive. Instead of accepting it, I contacted my insurance company directly. To my surprise, my insurance carrier confirmed that my actual financial responsibility was approximately half of what I had been quoted by the office. After verifying the information directly with my insurance company, I was left with the conclusion that I had been quoted an amount that was far higher than what I actually owed. In my opinion, this reflected dishonest billing practices. Trust is essential in any healthcare relationship, and once I realized I was being asked to pay nearly twice my actual responsibility, that trust was completely destroyed. After more than 20 years as a loyal patient, I never expected to leave feeling that I had to question both the quality of the dental work and the integrity of the billing process. It is especially disappointing that Dr. Snow did not step in to address either issue. Whether he was aware of the billing practices or chose not to intervene, the responsibility ultimately rests with the practice he owns. I can no longer recommend Dr. James Snow's office. My experience with the poor-quality dental work, the lack of accountability, and what I believe to be dishonest billing practices has permanently ended a relationship that lasted more than two decades. read more

I'm writing this review with immense gratitude, because my experience with Dr. Snow has been truly life-changing. Littetally! A few years ago, I had a bad fall that severely damaged my front teeth. What initially felt like a terrible accident ended up having a silver lining - it set me on a path that led me to Dr. Snow and helped uncover something serious that needed attention. After the fall, I initially went to another dentist I had seen before, but something didn't feel right. I trusted my gut, reached out to a friend, and was referred to Dr. Snow. That decision changed everything. Dr. Snow took thorough X-rays and discovered a tumor behind my front teeth :( something that had once been considered small years earlier, but had grown and now needed to be removed urgently. Hearing that was terrifying, but Dr. Snow was calm, clear, and incredibly compassionate. He explained everything and referred me to an outstanding surgeon for tumor removal, as well as an exceptional endodontist for two root canals on my front teeth. While those procedures were done by specialists, the referrals Dr. Snow provided were truly incredible - gentle, skilled, and kind. I felt supported every step of the way. It's important to know that I was incredibly terrified and likely would have put it off and I can't even imagine the damage that would've happened, but thankfully they were all so amazing. I was grateful that everyone understood I couldn't do everything at once due to financial constraints and they worked with me. After the surgery and root canals were completed, I continued seeing Dr. Snow for ongoing care. Over time, he uncovered long-standing issues that explained years of discomfort and embarrassment - including old material (cotton) left inside a crown that had caused discoloration and an unhealthy appearance for far too long. I had stopped smiling altogether. I would take selfies with my granddaughter and feel heartbroken seeing dark, unhealthy teeth and gaps instead of the smile I wanted to share with her. As a single mom, I've never been able to afford a quick or cosmetic fix. Dr. Snow has always understood that. He has never pressured me, never shamed me, and never rushed the process. Instead, he helped me move forward thoughtfully, realistically, and at a pace I could manage. Today, I received my bridge - the first true step in restoring my smile and I am genuinely emotional writing this. Being able to smile again, even knowing this is a longer journey, means more than I can put into words. I've got a good side Dr. Snow is gentle, honest, highly skilled, and has a great sense of humor - which matters so much when you're scared of the dentist. This experience restored more than my teeth; it restored trust, confidence, and the joy of smiling again. If you've had dental trauma, anxiety, or don't know where to start, I cannot recommend Dr. Snow enough. So impressed. Today was my third visit here and I already have so many positive things to say about Dr. Snow, staff, their customer service and the quality of work. Throughout my adult life I've never had such a dramatic result after a dental cleaning as I have had here. I had SIGNIFICANT staining in between my teeth (daily black tea drinker), and about 95% of it was removed after a routine cleaning that was VERY DETAILED AND THOROUGH (Amanda and Jennifer are awesome). Both assistants and Dr. Snow are very personable and educational. Dr. Snow's personality is a perfect mix of humor and professionalism, but also very genuine and ethical in his approach to his assessment and plan. They take Care Credit and work with AFLAC, which is the reason that I decided on going here in the first place, and I'm so fortunate that I found this place! I am a new resident in the area and was looking for a dentist. I've had extensive work done on my teeth throughout my life. Dr. Snow provided me with a treatment plan regarding an implant that had failed from my previous dentist. After receiving the treatment plan, I wanted to weigh my options and get a few other dentists opinions which Dr. Snow encouraged. Dr. Snow and his office provided me with scans they had taken for me to share with other dentists. THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE. I went for other opinions from other dentists. None of them bothered to look at the scans I had brought from Dr. Snow and gave me the wrong diagnosis by saying I needed 2 implants instead of one. Had they looked at the scans I brought in they would have seen that I needed only one implant. Instead they told me they looked at them, well 2 dentist did, the other said it wasn't necessary and just looked in my mouth and didn't realize there was tissue from my gums covering the other implant. Also, one particular dentist made me wait an hour in then chair while he was giving his other patients exams and whatnot. The lack of listening, the lying and the overall rudeness of these dentists were appalling. These were dentists that were in the biz for a long time mind you and all had pretty good ratings. Funny note here, the dental hygienist at one of the other places asked if the USB port containing the scans from Dr. Snow's office were my nail clippers. Why would I bring my nail clippers to your office? Wow. Anyways, I went back to Dr. Snow and asked if he could give me a quick fix on my bridge as I needed to go out of town and didn't have time for the implant at the moment. Well, he worked his magic and got them in. Other dentist said this was IMPOSSIBLE! I felt better right away as I am now able to go out of town with teeth vs without. I will be coming back to Dr. Snow for my implant. Having gone to other dentists here's what I learned about Dr. Snow. HE LISTENS. HE CARES. HE PUTS IN TIME AND EFFORT TO WORK WITH THE SITUATION AT HAND AND COME UP WITH EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS. Honestly, he's a great dentist and an overall nice guy with a great personality that is infectious. The dental hygienists there are awesome. Shout out to Melanie! (And the other lady) The nicest I've met. Shout out to Sue, who took the time to send me the scans and encouraged me to get the opinions of other dentists as well and provided me with the scans. If you like spending a lot of money this is the dentist for you. I just moved to the area and wanted a simple cleaning. First, they didn't want to clean my teeth until I paid them for x-rays $$$$. I didn't want them. I had to tell them that I had had x-rays recently from my previous dentist before they would agree to clean my teeth. Then, the hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth, no complaints about the cleaning or the fee charged for that. I told the hygienist I did not feel the need to have the dentist examine my teeth. After I left the office I noticed I was charged about $90 for Dr. Snow to inspect my teeth, which he had not done. I went back in and asked for the $90 to be removed from my bill. Dr. Snow snow came out and insisted that he examine my teeth. He obviously did not want to give the money back. The inspection lasted maybe 90 seconds. That's $1.00/second. A couple of days later I got a welcome to the neighborhood postcard from a different. She was offering x-rays, a cleaning and she would examine my teeth for $59.00.. I could have saved a lot of $$$$. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Pacific Dental Center. read more

I haven't been to the dentist in years, but when I did get a chance my insurance set me up with Dr. Snow. My initial visit went very well and in fact, I enjoyed the office staff and the office! Unfortunately, I had caught them in an act to NOT use my insurance. I work in the medical field and understand the billing process of insurances. So initially they gave me my treatment plan along with the prices. I then called my insurance and the prices were not matching what they were giving me. I called the office and told them to send an Authorization in order to receive the inexpensive prices. They sent an authorization into my insurance with completely DIFFERENT CODES where it ended up being MORE expensive! I contacted them and they could NOT give me one reason why they did that. They would not honor the codes they initially used and would not give me a complete understandable and reasonable answer for this issue. They also said the initial treatment plan is withOUT my insurance?!?! I told them I want to USE my insurance with those codes and they refused. read more
