It has been quite a headache dealing with Pacific Dermatology. They discharged me back to my PCP when their treatment didn't work. I was told that I would hear from them in a few days and that paperwork would be sent to my PCP regarding the referral I needed for a specialist. Well I never heard from them. I've been reaching out to Kaiser and making phone calls and told that they never received anything from the outside provider. I was originally told my appointment was at 1:40. I called at 12 to ask that was it possible for me to possibly come in earlier I told her the time they had me scheduled for and my name when I got there they said I was late. said I could wait to see someone, but the doctor wasn't in that day. The nurse practitioner wasn't in that day. They don't know who took my call. They said next time I called here , I really should write down whoever I spoke with so I could get things straight I was treated like garbage. The girls were very snotty. I can't believe that they work. There. Obviously, they must be related because nobody would hire somebody like these two so if you value in your time don't bother making an appointment there they say they're now moving over to yje Sundance building in Beaumont. I'm going to cancel every future appointment. I'll find someone that knows what they're doing that actually has a doctor a nurse and everything plus I've had taken some sharps dispose of them in their sharps container. They absolutely refused. We're not allowed to take anybody sharps. I hope the nursing and medical society sees this. It's gonna be kind of interesting but stay away from this place. We looked at their reviews, not on yelp just on the name of their Pacific Dermatology. There was one positive out of about 30. I don't know where these came from but I'm sure they're related to or these girls put on themselves very poor service very poor attitudes and the fact that their nurse their doctor were all out that day and they don't know who answered the phone because they were at lunch. I doubt that that's that many people working there. Just beware look for a decent place that has doctors nurses. read more

Don't take you seriously here, unprofessional, and rude. Waited over an hour and they were taking people who got there after me first, despite the fact I was early to my appointment. Also kept sending me letters asking for the copay that I paid two months prior, still receiving those letters today. Since it's out of network, I wasn't going to bother really saying anything, but if you can help it, avoid this place. The women at the front desk are rude and will cut you off, they're condescending and unhelpful. read more

first time going and I was impressed. Made an appointment, after finishing with paperwork within 2 minutes I was ushered in to a waiting room. I had a suspicious mole and I had a biopsy (small and almost painless procedure). They were professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. I was in an out in less than 15 minutes. *military/mil spouse/Tricare users beware* I had an appointment scheduled in September (made back in July, mind you) and 3 days before the appointment, they call and say my referral is missing a diagnosis. Go back and fourth with their office, Tricare & my primary care doctor for a few days. No luck. The referral covered multiple office visits & treatments, Pacific dermatology refused to see me without a diagnosis specified on the referral. Funny, my primary doctor couldn't diagnose me because they had no idea what my dermatology issue was - hence the referral to the specialist in the first place. Pacific dermatology had my appointment booked for well over a month, along with my referral, but made this big stink just days before my scheduled appointment. What a waste of time & effort. They should have made this an issue when I initially booked the appointment or not booked the appointment whatsoever. Pacific dermatology doesn't care about inconveniencing other people or resolving issues, get a referral elsewhere if you can. read more

I wish I read the reviews before I went to this place. You're better off doing a google search then speaking to the PA suite 203 who only sees you less then ten minutes, does not do a thorough assessment and simply says it's "normal". Don't waste your referral here use it somewhere else if you want a proper assessment and clear information. I am going to get a second opinion but unfortunately wasted my time here and my insurance. There was no point in being seen, interesting to see people like that in medical fields when they don't like dealing with patients. read more

There are several things wrong with Pacific Dermatology. I'll start with the service: - I got there early but it took 30 minutes after my scheduled time for them to see me. - When they finally saw me, the PA took maybe one minute to do the cancer screening. She barely looked at me and when I called out a couple spots that I was concerned about, she said they were fine. - She told me I only needed a yearly check-up. All other places I have been to have told me I need a checkup twice a year due to my history and skin condition. - The staff at the front was rude and wouldn't even look at me when I was checking out. I almost thought they were talking to someone on the phone because they had a headset on and kept looking around while talking to me. Cost: - The co-pay cost was expected. What I didn't expect was a charge over $100 from the place that examined the biopsy PLUS an over $100 from Pacific Dermatology, also apparently for the examination. This was with insurance. In comparison, my previous dermatologist, which is much more professional and thorough with their examination, only charged a co-pay. Because of the terrible service that I received, I decided to make the long trip to my previous dermatologist for a second opinion. They took me more seriously, did a thorough exam, and took a few biopsies, two of which came back as pre-cancerous. Save your money, save your time, and save your health. Don't go here. read more

My first visit today with Dr. Ebony Miller and I felt like she didn't even care why I was there. I went for a few problems i'm having and she says "well your doctor only put down one thing on your referral so let's talk about that only" I was shocked. that right there made me switch to another dermatologist. My Health Care Provider gave me a referral to PDI. Wasn't happy that I had to go to someone outside of my network but I went. Issue identified, got a prescription. I didn't have a problem with refills until about 3 weeks ago. Put in a request for a refill via my HCP. Admittedly I forgot for a week or so, then realized I had just a week's worth of medication left. Contacted my HCP, they said that the PDI doctor, Eric Sako, hadn't responded to their communication. Went back and forth with my HCP and they recommended that I call PDI. So I did. Had to wait for PDI to call me back. When they did, the person on the phone, didn't catch the name, said they would have to do paperwork. I informed the person that I had less than a week left of my prescription. She repeated that they would have to do paperwork. The words were polite but the **tone** was "That's a YOU problem. It's not ours." It's been a week since that phone call...and I STILL don't have my medication. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Spoke to Melissa at the front desk who was very unprofessional and was talking to me like I was a child. Mind you I called a hour before my appointment and stated I was running behind due to traffic and they said that was okay. The first issue was me calling three times and staying on hold for 10 minutes each time without getting a hold of anyone to make an appointment. I had to call the Corona office to make an appointment for me for the riverside office ... The second issue if the provider I saw. She did not ask me about my skin routine, take time to understand why I was there, and see to not even know what I needed although they made me fill paperwork with specific issues I needed to address. She stayed in the room with me for literally 3 minutes total, and didn't even address me when she left the room. My appointment was 9:40, I was out the door and leaving to my car at 9:48 exactly. I had a referral to come here , as my long time dermatologist is no longer contracting with my insurance company. I am a melanoma survivor, with a family history of death from melanoma. I have been seeing a dermatologist every 6 months for many years, and always have biopsies that come back moderate atypia, and several at the margins for cancer. I was suppose to have 2 biopsies with my last provider , which did not get done do the to contract issue. As well, I was told by last provider I needed to be seen every 3 months for life now, due to another cancer and the treatment I recently went thru. I saw PA today at Pacific Institute for a full body skin check, she spent about 5 minutes with me and said see you in a year, unless I notice something different. I have so many moles, mostly on my back, which I can not see. I do not feel comfortable at this facility. read more

If you're a new patient and trying to book an appointment let me advise you to set aside 2-3 hours to sit on the phone waiting for a representative to pick up the phone to assist you. Once they do answer, they place you on an additional hold for god knows how long I've been waiting at this point still waiting to book an appointment. This type of service is so unacceptable in my opinion but the sad part is that I'm at their mercy bc of the crappy insurance we are offered these days in our country. This sure is a horrible first impression to be introduced to this place and god help me when I see the doctor. I surely hope they're qualified to provide decent service and knowledge to ensure I don't have skin cancer of any kind. I've been to Pacific Dermatologist 2 times. I had skin cancer basil cell, both times Dr. Eric Saka did the removal. Both were on my face, 1 on my right temple and the other under my left eye. The one under my eye was no picnic just because of where it was located. Dr. Saka did a great job, he was so professional answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. The staff was great I waited maybe 5 minute, it was clean and easy too get to with plenty of parking. I called to make an appointment for my father, once the receptionist answered Kristen she asked me what insurance my father has, I told her he has UHC she stated I can't schedule the appointment without a referral. I called my father's primary doctor and the receptionist stated he has PPO he does not need a referral but as a courtesy I will send over his medical record. I called back and explained the situation to Kristen she then stated well I don't know if he has HMO or PPO. She never asked when I called initially she just stated I can't schedule him. Office staff was very kind when my daughter was asking for water. They came out with 2 bottles of water when I only needed 1. It took an hour to get to see the PA Jennifer lucatero. for less than 10 minutes of meeting. I requested to have accutane that can help me to reduce acne. I addressed the issues with PA JENNIFER LUCATERO, I used birth control pills with low estrogen (my previous derm MD prescribed for me), used lot of acne control products but they are not working. Acne comes at their worst and sometimes looking better. PA said to increase estrogen level in my bc to reduce acne, prescribe acne control products ( that I already tried but not working). I also told her I had accurate in the past but I guess the dosage isn't enough to wipe out acne so they come back worse n worse as years go by. The entire time in the office PA and me went back and forth arguing. Ridiculous to pay office visit FEE and walked out empty. PA also suggested to REVISIT office when SKIN LOOK UGLIER THAN CURRENT. If I had not changed insurance and location I would not end up here. I pay to see DOCTOR not PA who is not experienced especially about accutane. If all odds are not working then obviously accutane is one to use. My previous Dermatologist prescribed me right away when she checked my blood work, skin conditions. Ps. I have friend who is PA works with accutane for years, office in Beverly Hills center, suggested to get accutane that shouldn't have any issues when all options are not working. ***AVOID TO SEE THIS PA and this location SAVE YOUR TIME AND OFFICE VISIT FEE. **** read more

This place only wants your business if you come in for cosmetic procedures. My insurance sent me here twice for health issues and it's a joke. The doctor didn't even bother to provide any type of care or advice. Told me I was in the wrong field of care and needed to see a different type of doctor. Went back to my primary and told her what had happened and she was appalled. So now she had to send in a referral for another dermatologist. Mind you I was sent there for help trying to diagnose a reoccurring face rash that's been flaring up for 9 months. Every time I had a flare up I would call and try to get seen during a flare up and would be placed on hold or had to leave voicemails. Voicemails said they would call back within 24 hours and I never received a call. Overall terrible experience. I get dermatology has a lot of cosmetic aspects to it but for people who have health issues, we should be taken seriously and with even more care than someone wanting less wrinkles. It's upsetting and goes to show what society has come to. So now I wait for my insurance to approve another dermatologist so I can be seen and hopefully taken seriously. read more

Well....what can I say I didn't even get to schedule an appointment. I called to try and schedule an appointment for my son. A rude and aggressive staff member asked if I had insurance to which I replied yes. Then she asked what kind...I replied and then she said, "AND you checked to make sure that we are contracted with your insurance plan?" I was shocked so I asked does your office not verify insurance? She replied not for everyone we get 75 plus callers a day there is no way check them all. Ok I can understand that 75 insurance checks would be much...however I was scheduling an appointment not just asking for her to check my insurance. Is it too much to expect for office staff to do their job, be polite, make a potential new patient feel welcome? Sheesh. I have PPO insurance, flex spending and would have had no problem paying out of pocket for any expenses. read more

PacDermo has always had a great team. I have worked with six Dermo Dr and PAs as the rotate often. Five of them have been everything you would want. Caring, intelligent, know their craft. The knock has always been the wait times in the Riverside office. Credit where credit is due. They have fixed it. They opened a second office in the same building and for the past five visits my appointment has been the time I see a Dr. My most recent procedure was unusual and after the visit I receive two home calls from Dr Mudge and one from Tiffany, who did the procedure, to check on me. I do not expect, or receive, the type of care and I am grateful. I highly recommend the team at PacDermo. read more

Dr. Mudge saved my life. I was treated for melanoma Dr. Mudge performed the surgery. He explained everything but most of all he was sincere. As you can imagine, finding out you have melanoma was incredibly tough to handle. But Dr. Mudge really did work with me in understanding my situation which in turn made me fell more in control of my options. At the time, I had Medi-Cal, and finding a "good" oncologist who took Medi-Cal was challenging. Dr. Mudge even recruited an oncologist friend of his to step in!! The oncologist agreed to take medi-Cal! The surgery went smoothly, and I am 7 years cancer free I honestly cannot thank that man enough. He saved my life. He really did. read more

Within 30 seconds the doctor took a look at the area and said, "it's nothing, maybe a mosquito bite".... yeah a mosquito bite that grew into some cystic ball in a span of a year.
