I have been coming to Pacific Endodontics for over 10 years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Dr. Ortner was lovely (previous owner), but Dr. Tina Nguyen is the BEST THERE IS! She has now saved TWO of my molars from likely extraction, and her sweetness in dealing with my extreme dental anxiety keeps me calm even during such an un-fun procedure. Dr. Tina did a fantastic job with the root canal I needed addressed right away. She was able to fit me in quickly and also performed a retreat on the neighboring tooth--which was no small feat, as I was close to losing it. She is extremely skilled at what she does. My primary care dentist reviewed the X-rays afterward and agreed that the work was excellent. I'm very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend her. read more

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! I live in Central Oregon and had to select Pacific Endodontics in Lake Oswego to do my root canal for insurance reasons. The office was aware I was travelling to Portland the night before for my appointment first thing in the morning. I received a call 45 minutes before my appointment saying the dentist had to cancel so I was forced to reschedule another trip for the following Friday after already driving 380 miles round trip. There was no effort to compensate me for my time or expenses and then they called again to inform me they had to reschedule again and wouldn't be able to reschedule for 4-5 weeks, despite the immediacy of my need for treatment and the inconvenience and costs already incurred! Horrible experience with no consideration given for the impact of them rescheduling twice! read more

If an appointment is not cancelled in time, this office charges the patient the same amount as if they had gone to the appointment. They don't mention that there is no way to contact the office to cancel the appointment except for the few hours on only two days a week when they are open AND answering phones. (They often don't answer phones even when open.) Their message machine states that appointments may not be cancelled by leaving a message. There is no email address to send a message to. It is a Friday and neither office has been answering their phone today. The "emergency phone number" they give when you call their office is not in service. There is no way to contact them on their website except by fax but who has a fax machine at home nowadays unless they have a home business? read more

Had a full blown panic attack in this place today after they gave me the treatment plan. I was already feeling anxious as I filled out the paperwork because of really bad past experiences. My gut said leave this is going to be bad so I did. I would have had to pay almost 2x the amount my insurance was paying. The bill had way to many items not covered by insurance on it. I will go elsewhere as I'm not in pain and already have an appointment later this month. In addition as I was there I heard a personal conversation happening behind one of the doors that sounded like a lot of personal drama I didn't need to know about. I gave one star as I can't account for the work they do. read more

Absolutely the worst experience. I am filing a lawsuit and reporting Khuyen T Nguyen for medical malpractice. I had a cracked tooth. I went in for an exam and root canal. Nguyen put the fear of god in me saying I needed to get my crown THE NEXT DAY if I could (has she ever tried getting a dentist appt the next day?) The initial receptionist I spoke to had told me I had up to three months to get my crown. Big difference! I was about to get my root canal and then they literally pushed me out of the chair to go and pay in full beforehand because their receptionist was leaving for the day. I was paying out of pocket and the idea of paying $1400 in advance for a procedure that hadn't even happened yet was not something I was okay with. In what other field do they ask you to Pay a full $1400 before they do anything? You don't have to do that with physicians why should you have to do that with dentists? They could ask for a deposit but asking for the entire amount upfront is against accepted business practices. When I said I would reschedule, the dentist didn't offer prescriptions for antibiotics or pain medication for my cracked tooth. I am currently filing a lawsuit for malpractice because since then my tooth got worse and now needs to be completely replaced. I should've just been able to get my root canal and paid normally AFTERWARDS without the dentist misrepresenting the situation and making a painful, scary situation of a root canal so much worse to the point where I am scared to get it done because my tooth might break which ended up happening anyway. The office staff are completely rude and unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Had a wonderful experience at this location with Dr Sherry Bloomfield and her staff. They were informative ,polite just great overall. I got treated so well and felt so welcomed at this location. Not a place I love to visit but if I do I'm coming here for treatment. I can't say enough of Dr Bloomfield and her professionalism and again all her staff. Thank you!! read more

GO ELSEWHERE!!!! They up charge and this place lives off of your emergency pain and dire need to be seen sooner than later. Once they've got you for an appointment, same day or next day (-- hence the 2 stars for keeping an opening for emergency dental work), they hook line and sinker you with massive bills that must be paid same day. They are lacking compassion and empathy for what our community is going thru. We are all struggling. At least give payment plan options-- especially for EXPENSIVE DENTAL PROCEDURES!!! Also-- They will charge you more than what your insurance plan makes you pay!! For reals?!?! Yes. If my plan only makes me pay 30%, they don't care and will charge you 40% since that is how they want to run their business. Very disappointing to see such greed. The reason a lot of people don't trust dentists is because they charge sooooo much, bill you for expenses your insurance doesn't cover, and sometimes bill for unnecessary work. Will not be returning, and I don't suggest you do either. read more

Worst dental experience of my life. There are plenty of other endodontists around. Go elsewhere.

Stay away from this place! After inviting me to their clinic, they hit me up with all sorts of fees--in the hundreds-- despite having insurance and before doing any treatment. I paid $300 for some X-rays. But, during a few conversations with the staff to discuss scheduling, I began feeling uncomfortable because of how rude they were to me, so I called around to a few other Endodontics. When I called Pacific back to request a copy of my X-rays, the manager got on the phone and immediately was rude to me for wanting to go somewhere else. A few days later I called them back to request my X-rays so that I could present them to another Endodontics. I was told they didn't have them, that their system "was down" and they'd needed to take them again if I wanted them. I went back and took the X-rays, but when I provided them to my new Clinic, the files were corrupted and not visible. That day I called Pacific Endo back, and the manager answered the phone. Before I could even mention the X-rays, she started yelling at me stating the last time she'd spoken to me was over a month ago, which was a lie. I had spoken to her 1 week ago. She yelled, "why are you called us? We've had many requests from other clinics for your X-rays." Then she hung up the phone. I was completely appalled by this and thought I'd never call them again. (I had wasted $300 on X-rays that I never received and had to take two times. ) Even stranger was about 3 minutes later, the owner called me from a unknown number. When I answer the phone she, too, began yelling at me and threatening me in an angry and hostile voice, so I hung up the phone. What kind of person calls back a customer just to yell at them? That's crazy! As a customer and as a patient, I will tell you that these people do not care about you. They only want your money. And if you don't bow to them, they will become hostile and try to belittle you. Unbelievably terribly service and treatment here! read more

I was in dire need of a root canal and couldn't get in anywhere until the following week. After calling around, I got a recommendation to call Pacific Endodontics. They got me in same day and gave me a root canal...after 5 months of on and off pain and the more recent 3 weeks of excruciating pain, Dr.Sherry Bloomfield gave me the relief I desperately needed with a painless root canal that took less than an hour! They keep sending ghostly bill after the procedure. Final bill has lot of mismatch with the estimate. They do lot of unnecessary procedures to cover their machine cost, totally nonsense and those are not covered by insurance. My primary dentist broke my tooth when filling it, then recommended to this endodontics. I now regret of going there. I wonder why they don't get reviewed by the board! read more

When the FIRST thing they tell you, before you've even seen the doctor is "We have to do this really expensive image and it's not covered by your insurance" it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. It makes me suspect they just needed to pay for that really expensive machine. read more

I needed an emergency root canal due to an infected tooth and they got me in the next day and stayed late for the procedure. Dr. Nguyen was wonderful and her staff excellent. It was the best experience I have ever had with a root canal and at the age of 74 I have had a few. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen and staff! You are the best. read more

I got a much needed apioectomy and root canal re-treatment here and Dr. Nguyen did a fantastic job. This was for a dead tooth that had no hope. My original root canal had gone bad from an accident over 30 years ago. Dr. Nguyen was able to save my tooth and I am so grateful. Excellent experience! The last time I was at this practice was 15 years ago. Since then it's been sold. I was nervous at first since my previous experience with my general dentist who sold ended my 10 year loyalty to that practice. New owners aren't close to how good the retired dentist was.
