My wife and I just got back from an 11 day trip to French Polynesia that Pacific for Less planned for us. It was simply amazing! Sure, Bora Bora and Moorea are beautiful, so that's why we had a perfect trip, right? It's 2025 - why use a travel agency when you can book flights and hotels online on your own? Trust me, there is no way my trip would have been as nice or at the price I got it for without Pacific for Less. They had a call with me to understand what I wanted and what my budget was. They heard what I had to say, made a few recommendations based on all of their knowledge, and then gave me options for hotels, room types, transfers, excursions, etc. Once I picked what we wanted, they took care of everything. Every single thing they booked for us went exactly as planned. Every transfer driver was early, had all of our information, and was courteous. This was my wife's first international trip and having everything prearranged and go seamlessly made her so comfortable and allowed us to enjoy the beauty of French Polynesia. And there is no way I could have come close to the package pricing they got for me by booking the hotels directly on my own. They may not be a known name, and many of us are comfortable using larger companies like Costco Travel with our money, personal information, and vacation happiness riding on who we chose to help us with a trip like this. My husband and I used Pacific For Less to book our honeymoon, and we were so glad we did! The team there is incredible: very knowledgeable, accommodating, patient, and responsive. Jennifer spent a couple of hours chatting with me on the phone about what we wanted and going over our options. I normally love planning and researching trips, but it felt so good to actually talk with someone who has all the information and could help plan a custom trip! It saved us a ton of time and stress during a very hectic period of our lives. The Pacific For Less team is aware of little details you can't learn online, like the best locations of certain rooms at hotels, whether or not certain hotels are undergoing construction, the local food options, etc. They also helped us book tours and special dinners. In the end, we paid a couple thousand dollars less with Pacific For Less than we would have if we had we booked the trip on our own using our points and elite membership statuses. It definitely made a difference. In the end, our honeymoon was incredible, and any questions we had during the trip were answered via text! Super easy. Some background. My wife and I had used PFL back in 2015 for our trip to Moorea. They were great back then and that trip went off without any issue. For our planned March 2020 trip to Bora Bora, we planned to use PCL again, but I also got quotes from a few other agencies and from Costco - the latter has been making a big push, it seems, into travel. Reason we selected PCL for March 2020: - service and responsiveness. Claudia and her team priced a lot of different options for us. Fly on one day vs another. Overnight or mid-day flight. LAX vs SFO as gateway, etc. I didn't realize what a big deal this was until I tried to do the same with Costco. Costco doesn't "save" the pending quotes, so each time I wanted to try a new option, it would be a new call center person and I'd been starting from scratch. - cost. PCL was not the cheapest. Costco was about $200 or so less, but when given our total cost, this was about 1.5% of the budget. The point above was worth that very modest extra cost plus the personal service has value to me. - comfort with past experience. We had used them before, they still had good reviews on Trip Advisor and there was no reason to not use them again. - accuracy. I found that PCL's final documents always match what I agreed to. No hidden stuff, no bait and switch, no errors. Why I'll recommend PCL to anyone: COVID happened! We were supposed to depart from the US on 15MAR (a Sunday) and travel restrictions were just starting to take hold. French Polynesia was adjusting their entry rules and overall there was just lots of uncertainty. My wife and I on Thursday had made the decision that if travel was allowed, we would go. I had a brief email exchange with Claudia on Thursday as PCL was sending frequent updates to their clients to keep them informed. Friday, we changed our minds. I sent PCL a note and within 30 minutes they were calling me back to begin adjusting things. Before the end of the day, the entire trip had been moved to March 2021 and the hotels arranged. Since the flights could not be booked that far out, PCL committed to getting them booked and they did that in early April 2020. No charge, no change fees, nothing! Technically, I had cancelled non-refundable airfare including the inter-island airfare and PCL made it work. This was about the best outcome I could have possibly imaged when having to cancel a trip to paradise. And they did it in a day. I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like if I was trying the Costco call center on that Friday. The internet was buzzing with horror stories from all the travel companies and their hold times. In summary, I was happy with PCL in good times. I had a wonderful time booking PFL. I, unfortunately, had the displeasure of working with a different travel agent before I knew of PFL. Here are some things the OTHER travel agent did and PFL did NOT do. * Never followed up about our refund, we had to, still took her four months * Waited until the very last minute to secure our breakfast coverage and asked us for the email logs * Never kept documentation. PFL would NEVER do anything like this. PFL is an amazing travel agency to help with your honeymoon or anniversary experience. We started contact with them the end of 2015 for our honeymoon. They were recommended to us by Bora Bora Beaches - Bora Bora Island Guide on Facebook. At first, I was cautious, but they had great reviews online so I went forward. I'm so glad I did. I never had a hassle with them ever. They were thorough. They billed accurately. They promptly answer all my questions even if half my answers were in their FAQ. They proactively suggested excursions and provided discounts. Their rates are cheaper than booking directly. I had a complicated schedule with already some portions booked, and they easily filled in the blanks. I never had to double check anything with them, because when I did, everything was accurate. They are ON TOP of everything. They will even help you during your trip to ensure you're treated well if you run into issues and continue to suggest or help you with bits of your trip while you're there. I just can't say enough great things about them. I normally book my own trips but with a complicated island trip, they are the best. I just wish they covered the rest of the world so I could plan vacations with them outside the Pacific. PS Their website is legit, even though it seems out-dated. read more

Reminds you why travel agents exist. We are so happy that we used Pacific for Less for our honeymoon to French Polynesia. To start off, when we inquired about possible packages, they responded with a 4 page document all about what to do and where to stay. It was clear they wanted us to have a fantastic trip, even if we didn't end up booking with them. Their value add was to handle all of the reservations and get agent discounts we couldn't. We ended up booking some of our stays and our international flights on our own, and they didn't bat an eye. They operate just as well "filling" in the gaps, as they would have should they have had the whole trip from start to finish. After having made so many decisions for the wedding, it was so nice to have all of our hotels booked, inter-island flights handled, and airport transferred pre-booked. We just showed up where and when they told us. Our trip was 2.5 weeks and we went to Moorea, Bora Bora, Tikehau, and Rangiora. Tikehau was a recommendation by P4L after we described that we wanted a much more low key island after visiting THE Bora Bora. It was great. They booked us an ecoLodge that was an entire island called Ninamu. Not only did they handle logistics, but we also got special activities that we wouldn't have otherwise have booked. Our package came with an ATV tour of Moorea, which ended up being a highlight of the trip to that island. On Bora Bora, P4L had a discount to a restaurant we hadn't heard of that was probably the best meal of the trip. They even looked into the logistics and legal aspects of spreading a family member's ashes in Bora Bora. Highly recommend. read more

Claudia and team did an outstanding job on our Tahiti family trip including our RT business class on AF, Four Seasons Bora Bora, Hilton Moorea, ATV tour, and a complimentary Bora Bora snorkel tour. When we hit a snafu, they were right there to help. They got us a private driver from airport to hotel in Moorea so we could visit hte pharmacy (great place for French products) they did the same for us on the main island so we could run into the big supermarket and stock up on French goodies including Tahitian oils and vanilla. They went the extra mile. Normally i book directly so this was a first. They saved us a good amount of money even beat my wholesale ticket company and direct special pricing i had with Four Seasons. ....I could go on and on about them....but then i would not get this review up life. You cant go wrong by at least calling them and seeing what they can offer. I was planning my 2nd vacation to Bora Bora. Be extremely careful on the quotes you receive. I receive one of two and it was for the wrong year! the quote didn't even show the year but it showed that most of the hotels were booked up which I thought was odd. I was being pressured to book quick as my room category was sold out along with most other I wanted. After talking to other Travel Agents I realized the error I am glad that I didn't pay and asked around or else we would have been going on a vacation a year early. When I brought that to their attention they correct the quote, however, since then they have completely ignored my emails - I have sent 2 in 2 weeks. read more

Not only is everything cheaper than other agencies and way cheaper than if you did it yourself, but you get personalized service and great deals. Our honeymoon was amazing thanks to Pacific for Less! This was our first time using a travel agent and thank goodness we did. When our connecting flight to SFO was delayed due to weather - we missed our flight to Tahiti. Even though we booked airfare on our own, Claudia jumped in right away to calm us down in a time of panic. She had to push our entire 3 island itinerary back by 2 full days. She was able to keep our accomodations, room upgrades and excursions all as originally planned (just 2 days later). She was so great that we were actually able to relax and enjoy our unexpected extended days "stuck" in San Francisco since Claudia worked so diligently to make our trip great. There were some changes in inter-island transfers which was a small price to pay for us. Not ideal but I know for a fact that we were super lucky she was pulling strings to get us taken care of.
