Eric is a class act! He helped us with an inspection of a home we recently purchased in Sebastapol. He arrived on time, did his work thoroughly and professionally and reviewed it with us at the end, taking his time to explain his findings and recommend next steps. Our real estate agent recommended Eric to perform the inspection of the home that we were purchasing in Bodega Bay. He was settup up at the home when we arrived. He conducted a thorough inspection taking his time to look at all the aspects of the home that he was responsible for inspecting. After the inspection was completed, he reviewed the issues that he found in full detail. First we reviewed them on his laptop through photos that he had taken. Then we went to the actual locations pictured and he reviewed his findings. We received his written report that evening as a PDF attached to his email. I made an apt with Eric two weeks before to inspect our large property and he and Travis showed up on time and spent 7 hours reviewing both houses. They were a great team and worked through every parts of the structures. They took pictures and made comments as they proceeded along with recommendations for items which would need my attention. My husband and I couldn't agree more with what many reviewers have already stated, especially regarding professionalism, helpful photo slides, clear explanations of terms and analyses, timeliness and recommendations. I would recommend these guys to any buyer, but especially if you are first time home buyers. We purchased our city apartment (which was new) a few years ago, but going through an inspection of a waterfront, 70 year old Russian River home in the woods is obviously much more involved. We were pretty unfamiliar with typical river house wear and tear, so we really needed an experienced home inspector who could break everything down and explain why certain items were "do now" action items, versus ones that could wait. My realtor suggested I use Pacific Inspection Services, and I am very impressed on how thorough he was during the inspection of the house I am buying. I showed up with my brother about half way through the inspection, and he introduced him self. He told me to ask any questions I have while he was performing inspection, and said he would go over everything afterwords on his laptop, and walk me through the house and point out those problems. Yes you get a huge printout but how many pages are legal mumbo-jumbo about what he can and can't inspect? He missed 3 fairly obvious things on my house, (found later by a pest inspector and contractor). Don't be fooled by the high-techness of the inspection. That isn't what the high price should be delivering. He missed things and wouldn't/didn't inspect certain areas. read more
