I've been a customer for a few years and am completely satisfied with their service. My house has an ant issue and the regular maintenance I receive keeps them at bay. From time to time Mother Nature claps back, but New West is kind enough to stop by and do a follow up at no extra cost. The customer service is amazing. The service person that came. Out (Cash) was fantastic did a great job checking inside and out for mice, outside in green can there was one that had eaten through the back of the lid and a week ago jumped out by me and went into garden. So he set some traps and did not try to sell me something I did not need he suggested he could come back in a week to check to see what's going.on. I had an ant infestation in almost every room in our house. I called and spoke to Staci who was very nice and helpful throughout the experience. They came out a month ago and sprayed the entire exterior, and treated the interior too. I was told to wait a week and to call them if we still had ants. After a week there was a drastic reduction, but we still had ants. I called and they came right back out. They treated again and I have not seen a single ant since! I would highly recommend them. I am so glad I found New West Pest Control!! I asked them to come out for a second opinion, after a national company completed a subpar evaluation and presented us with an astronomical estimate. Steve is such a good guy. Yeah, yeah, he came and set traps and foamed/blocked holes and caught our rat... I mean, he's a pro, and that's what you'd expect *any* pro to do when they come to your house. But he was also just a terrific, genuine human, who clearly cared about the job (almost more than the money, maybe). And isn't that what you really want when you hire someone? We had agreed on his coming once a week for five weeks, and damn if we didn't start looking forward to seeing him each week. read more

Honestly not sure how to rate this place. Their customer service was outstanding. Both Stacy and Cash were very knowledgeable about my ant problem. Cash arrived on time and sprayed for ants. The ants never went away though, so he came back out about 1.5 weeks later and sprayed again. This time the ants left for a week and then came right back! So while they are great at customer service and I can tell want to do the very best job bottom line they did not take care of the ant problem. I am sure they would be willing to come back out a 3rd time, however that would cost me for another treatment. I don't feel I should have to pay AGAIN when the ants never actually left in the first place. read more

Just so folks know, I tried calling them several times during their normal and no one answered. I then inquired about service an they sent a short message that they aren't accepting any one-time or regular new customers. Kind of dumbfounding. So people seeking pest control help should probably look elsewhere since they aren't taking new business. read more

We were very happy with the service. It was very easy to make an appointment, we got all details needed for the inspection and first evaluation over the phone. Matthew came on time, did a thorough job and we are definitely recommending him and the company. A big plus, there is no charge for the inspection, other companies charge an upfront fee regardless of their finding anything or not. read more

Steve was a total professional and helped me trap a very smart roof rat. He was on time, polite, and knowledgeable about how to figure out where the rat had entered the house. Just had them over for a free inspection and they very honestly told me that my house was already very sealed up and didn't need any work. Very nice gentleman dealt with my crazy dogs and muddy yard. He agreed my issue is the dog door and gave me some suggestions. New West made it out to our home during the fire evacuation warning and public safety power shutoff which is amazing in itself. The specialist was instantly able to spot where rats enter our laundry room through a large open space under our home, & he noted it would require a large project to fully fix the issue. We rent and, knowing my parents as our landlords would not be up for such a big project, I said this immediately. Rather than packing up his bags & leaving, however, he walked the perimeter of our home & showed my husband some areas he could seal up to combat the issue. We were absolutely fed up with all of the ants in the house. Enough. I called New West and set up an appointment for the following week. Today Steve arrived right on time. I explained our situation and showed Steve a few ant area's in the house. Great guy. He walked all around the house and suggested that we start with the outside first. We have 2 dogs and kept them inside while he sprayed. Steve stated that give it 1 week for the ants to disappear. If for a y reason the ants are not gone he will return and spray again. Awesome. Matt has been servicing our complex for years, you're not going to find more dedicated, hard working, passionate young man like Matt, to take care of your pest control needs... We were told by a workman that we had a wasp problem and obtained 3 estimates from pest control companies. New West had the best Yelp reviews and was the most reasonable with respect to cost. They were also the most booked. While waiting for our appointment (several weeks out), a second workman suggested we had a rat problem. I called New West and they said Steve could check for rats, too, on our scheduled visit. Steve was absolutely worth the wait. Personable, competent and thorough, he removed several wasp nests and treated the area in short order. He did a thorough inspection of our attic and crawl space and determined there was no current rat infestation. When it came to to settle up, he charged less than the estimate. We were so happy. I've been meaning to mention my great interaction with Steve, the owner of New West. I had issues with bees getting into the air handling at a business in Healdsburg. I could not figure out how they were getting in and it was a problem with bees dropping on visitors etc. Steve had a very full day the following day so he agreed to meet me early (7AM) at the shop. With cool morning temps we could easily open up the system without risk of getting stung. It turned out to be a very simple fix so he told me the best way to proceed. Even though he drove 20-30 minutes each direction to meet and then spent time helping me figure it out, he would not take any payment. Basically he educated me on how to deal with the issue and was generous enough to leave with a smile and a handshake. This level of service and good will is tough to find these days so I would strongly recommend New West. read more
