Small bowl with tuna and spicy tuna
    Janet M.

It was our second time here today and it did not disappoint. The first time we came here was a few years ago and I must have forgotten to write a review. Anyway fast forward to today, we came here for dinner since we wanted something healthy and light. The place was not busy and we were helped not long after arriving. We both got a small poke bowl with salad (base). They were out of salmon so I ended up getting tuna and spicy tuna. I got most of their toppings and for the sauce, I got the Yuzu House and chili oil. It had a kick to it in my opinion. He got the tuna, spicy tuna and crab and shrimp for his protein. He also got a lot of toppings and for the sauce, he got the habanero and this korean spicy sauce. I forgot the name of it. The price is okay. Its reasonable for a poke. The staff are very nice and our order came with a bowl of miso soup. The downside is that this place is closed on weekends. I hope they reconsider and open at least on a saturday. We will definitely be back here

I used to drive from Valencia three times a week to have lunch here. I loved the service and consistency of ingredients. You do get a miso soup included with the new owners so that is nice. I just wish they would use some sort of romaine lettuce like most poke places. They seem to serve mixed greens now and although that might be easier to serve, it does not pair well with poke. It takes away from the other ingredients. Mixed greens have a lot of stems and have more of a bite- which is why you tend to have salad dressing and fruits , cheese etc. Other than that small gripe, I think the new owners and past workers are doing a great job.

I have been going here since it opened, but it recently came under new ownership and wow! They have me the bowls, expirience and food so much better. They have the point system back, way better portions and miso soup. If you haven't ever been or haven't been here is a while, don't walk- run! It is the best poke bowls in town- no question!

Came here on a Friday, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The restaurant is in a nice plaza. I ordered the katsu, which was listed as the daily special--turns out there was nothing special about it. No discount, no larger portion, just a regular meal at full price. For $13-$15, you get a small portion with less than 10 pieces, which honestly isn't worth it. You'd be better off going to a Hawaiian BBQ spot for a more satisfying meal at the same price. The poke bowl was good, but again, the price doesn't justify it. Overall, I wouldn't come back. There are better options for the same or better value elsewhere.

This is the salad they gave me in my poke bowl.

Went back yesterday for the first time in a long time. I got half salad and half rice like I always get with poke and they gave me some nasty looking iceberg lettuce. Needless to say I did not eat it which is annoying considering how expensive poke is.

Best poke bowl in town! My family loves this place. So filling and so many options. The sauces are fantastic. The service is great!

Simple decor, and immaculate! You are greeted so graciously when walking in the door. We were a little surprised to find them so quiet at 6pm on a Wednesday. Why is everyone sleeping on this gem? For those who don't know, Momma Kiki is Osaka born and raised.. which makes me half Japanese but still full Asian food critic. lol The sushi served at Ananto is outstanding! Some of the best I've had in Santa Clarita. I still love our OG "Light & Healthy" in Newhall (THE best AYCE!) but Ananto has special and unique offerings like sweet shrimp. We aren't light eaters by any means, but their 7pc set which comes with soup and a salad paired with a shared cut roll makes a decent meal! Our table thoroughly enjoyed our 7pc Sushi sets and the 9pc Sashimi set. The mild shirt miso soup paired with their green salad and house made wafu dressing is outstanding! The chef/owner makes all dressings and sauces fresh in house, and you can tell. There is care taken with rice and fish temperatures to optimize flavors, some are lightly brushed with what tastes like fresh yuzu.. the Spicy Tuna Roll doesn't have sriracha in it (thank goodness!).. they use chili oil, as it should be. The Sweet Shrimp is expertly executed and every crispy bite of the head served with the tomalley is perfection! I honestly don't know why there isn't a long wait in this little gem.

We sat at our table for almost 15 minutes while a waitress helped the table right next to us multiple times and never acknowledged us. Once that table paid their check and left, she finally turned to us and asked if we'd like to order. My husband ordered three appetizers and each of us ordered main courses. Very soon after we ordered she brought out one appetizer and one entrée. Then we sat awkwardly for several minutes while my son ate his entrée, and 3 of us shared seaweed salad. Then she brought my other son's entrée. No sign of the rest of the appetizers. Then several minutes later she brought my husband's entrée. So now my husband and my two sons are sitting there with their meals and I'm sitting there with nothing for several minutes. I then asked if she could please bring the other appetizers before she brought my entrée because I didn't want it to be cold by the time we finished the appetizers. She said she would check on it. The appetizers finally came out and before I took a bite of the appetizers my entree arrived. My sons were done with their meals before I even tasted the appetizers. While these timing issues seem relatively minor it affected our overall experience. I thought it was just an anomaly on previous visits but it's clearly a lack of communication between service and the kitchen or simply a different expectation of the flow of a meal. Ultimately, it's poor service that doesn't seem to match the level of the cuisine. I don't think it's a strange thing to want everyone's food to come out at the same time. And that appetizers should come before entrées.
