First time here today. From the moment the plate lands on the table, our eyes went wide open with a silent voice inside saying-- Thats a Bigger than usual plate! And that is just the beginning. We just got back from Hawaii 2 weeks ago, and tbh the food here blows away half of the "hyped up" food places in Maui. I ordered the Galbi, but my wife & I especially liked their Teriyaki beef.. well-marinated, not chewy, does not need any more sauce or seasoning.. and did I already say how Awesome the portion is ?!! Also, we liked their take on serving the korean-rice vs. regular steamed rice, very nice flavor & texture, complementing the meat well. Will definitely be back! We've tried their food twice to-go and that Garlic Shrimp aroma fills the car all in a good way. We're Filipino so all good in the hood. It's not quite like the Hawaiian Shrimp trucks in HI but still so good but no kissy-kissy for at least 3 days. ! The Loco Moco hit the spot for the hubby, Last time, I got the Sesame chicken. This place is so so good! I love their garlic shrimp (no shell except tail), kalbi short rib & chicken katsu plates!! Garlic shrimp was perfectly garlicky and buttery. The macaroni salad is also very good. Salad is delish! The rices were perfection too....sort of korean style with a bit of red or purple grain mixed in. All the sauces are yummy. I like the spicy mayo. Separate sauces for katsu and the kalbi, on the sweeter side. I love supporting small businesses. The korean lady working here seemed to be the only one cooking! I've been on the hunt for spam masubi and this place nailed it. I got a shrimp and chicken plate as well with a side of Mac. They are extremely generous with their portions! The chicken was good but the shrimp let me down. It was soggy and chewy I didn't like it. 4th at Burnin' Grill and I can't get enough. I tried the BBQ plate which was recommended by the very friendly receptionist. Omg it was on point. The chicken was perfectly cooked with the right amount of char and perfect internal moisture and temperature. I also liked how they separated the veggies, the rice, and the macaroni salad. Compared to the teriyaki chicken, this was even tastier and juicier than I was expecting. I was so stuffed halfway through, but it was so amazing that I had to finish the entire plate. We order from Burnin' Grill two times now and we've ordered the Teriyaki Bowl, Spam Musubi, Chicken Katsu, 3 Piece egg rolls, and 5 Piece Gyoza. We love this place overall for a good lunch spot that has big portions. My duaghter has ordered the Beef teriyaki bowl and the chicken teriyaki bowl and she really like them, she break the portion into 2 parts so she can eat her left overs at a later time. I've ordered the Chicken Katsu twice and found that the chicken was a little over fried both times. This makes the meat a little tough. It still tastes ok, but I think I will now follow my daughters lead and get the Teriyaki bowls. The rice portion is huge and I didn't finish it. For a fat Japanese dude, that says something about the rice portion, (we usually finish our rice.) The gyoza and Spam musubi are also good, but we really didn't like the eggrolls. They were not crispy and they seemed cold on the inside like they were not cooked long enough. The Mac salad was good, but the salad was over dressed and unedible. An 8th of the amount of dressing would have been appropriate. All in all, we like this place and will order from here again. I will try more things and report back! read more

I placed my order to go and was told about 20 min. By the time I arrived, my order was ready. There was a mixed up as I wanted a plate with half beef teriyaki and half chicken katsu as I saw they have a combo option. When I placed the order and provided my combo order I was not told the chicken katsu was not part of the combo options so when I arrived I was being charged for two full plates. I explained I said I wanted the combo and therefore I could not purchase both of the plates so I decided to pay for the beef teriyaki. It was lacking flavor but I was glad they gave me soy sauce and extra teriyaki so I was able to fix it. The meat to rice portion was not it either as they fill the container with rice and not a lot of meat. The place is small but there are a couple tables where you can sit if you want to eat in. I would give it a second chance but maybe go for a bowl the next time around. read more

I'm going to keep it simple, it's good.. REALLY GOOD. Meat is fresh none of that processed meat. Vegetables are fresh and crunchy and the rice is unique and delicious the girl in the register has great service and very attentive and offered us everything we needed. I was hesitant at first bc I'm not too thrilled with the other Hawaiian BBQ places here, but their bbq plate is pretty good. I didn't think the shrimp was going to be deep fried and battered but it was just ok, though it was perfectly cooked. The flavor is fine, it's just a personal preference to have it cooked on the grill and slathered with garlic butter. The service is friendly, there's one lady cooking and maybe her family helping out. Looks like a small family business. Delicious food, very fresh, and the bbq mix plate had tender pieces of meat.
