Friendly staff, huge waiting room, and the process moved along smoothly. Asked if X-rays were wanted, and a simple answer of yes resulted in X-rays within 10 minutes. Soon Dr. Spencer Chun met with us and showed the X-rays... go home or go big, the X-rays clearly showed a piece of bone broken off and sitting next to the rest of the bone... not good. The 3 of us shared some laughs, and the game plan is to wear a fashion forward "shoe" and follow up upon returning to the contiguous 48 states. The pharmacy was equally efficient. Thanks to all that made this process so streamlined. Mahalo!

He managed to misdiagnosed my heart issue. Months after I self diagnoses MYSELF with my audio recorder (YES, myself) I contacted Kaisers regional President to request going off island to have my second open heart surgery. When I wrote the regional President at the time, he mentioned he doubted if I would get my request to have my second open heart surgery at Scripps Hospital. I sure as hell wasn't going to use them! I managed to achieve my request, and wrote to the President after the fact, and told him he was wrong. Don' t settle for the one doctor's opinion, seek an alternative, do your research. Most of these so called doctors are incompetent, and guess their way through their careers. Personal note to Dr. Parihk, you should go back to school. And when I asked you when I could stop taking the metoprolol, you suggested I would figure it out. Well I did, just like I did my heart issue, you're a clown. Go away!

I want to offer an honest and thoughtful review of my experience with Kaiser Permanente following…read moreknee surgery. There was an initial issue where I was given the wrong knee brace, largely due to limited weekend staffing and early closures. I want to be very clear: this was not a failure of the nurses or frontline staff. They were professional, kind, and clearly stretched thin. They are human beings working under real constraints, and they still showed up with care and respect. Dr. Heffner did an excellent job on my knee, and I'm confident in the surgical outcome. My primary care team was communicative and supportive, and the nurses consistently treated me with compassion despite obvious workload pressures. What stood out most to me, however, is a deeper systemic problem. The people who actually deliver care--doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff--are under-resourced, while executive and administrative compensation appears disproportionately high. When staffing shortages exist in critical patient-facing roles, that isn't a frontline issue; it's a leadership and resource-allocation issue. If more of Kaiser's collective funds were directed toward hiring and fairly paying the professionals who provide direct care--instead of being concentrated at the executive level--patients would receive better, safer, and more timely treatment. Better staffing means fewer mistakes, less burnout, and better outcomes for everyone. The people on the ground are doing their best with what they're given. They deserve stronger backing from the top. I'm grateful for the care I received, and I genuinely believe Kaiser has the ability to be much better if leadership priorities were aligned with patient care rather than administrative excess. Thank you to the medical professionals who showed up for me. You deserve more support than you're currently being given.

The office has plenty of parking and my impression of the office is that they take pride in this beautiful space. Dr Yu was very knowledgeable and is so patient he took the time to answer all my questions. The staff is wonderful and I felt completely at ease as it was a lighthearted "judgement free zone" during my decision making process. Dr Yu and his staff has an attention to detail and his experience over the years made my experience so easy and stress free. Dr Yu really took his perfectionism seriously when he provided excellent results. I couldnt be happier that I decided to go with him.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Dr. Yu was very informative and easy to talk to. All of my questions were answered and he also showed me pictures so I knew what to expect. Dr. Yu also explained the risks involved with this type of procedure, which was important to hear beforehand because there is always a risk when you have surgery. My surgery went well and I was very happy with the result! Dr. Yu and his team are amazing. They were very attentive throughout the whole process and I always felt very cared for when I went in for my post op visits. It was also really nice having the procedure done in a private facility. Unfortunately, I did end up having complications. :-( I had bladder retention and ended up in the hospital for a week. I had a longer recovery period than most because I was so sick. This is a complication that can happen after any type of surgery with general anesthesia and it was miserable, but I knew going into surgery there are always risks. I would choose Dr. Yu again if I were to have any other elective surgery done, as I have the utmost respect and confidence in him!!!
